About Zia Teresa
Zia Teresa began its journey towards becoming a London institution some six decades ago.
Our founder, Lorenzo Fraquelli, had already been hugely successful in establishing Italian cooking as a mainstay of London’s culinary scene during the early 1950’s.
In 1956 he decided upon his own independent venture and opened Zia Teresa on Hans Road in the chic heart of Knightsbridge. It has stayed with the Fraquelli family ever since, as part of our Metropolitan Restaurants group, and this year we celebrate 60 Years of serving exceptional, time-honoured Italian cooking.
It was amazing... the food, the atmosphere, the service. I had an incredible experience there, celebrating my boyfriend's birthday.
Really lovely restaurant. Very nice staff and quite reasonable prices considering the area. I really recommend.
I have been dining here for 40 years this summer and still love everything from the delicious food and attentive staff to the fab decor and buzzing ambiance.
Nice atmosphere. friendly and nice staff. great food. excellent quality / price
This is the third time we have visited since first finding this gem in December (we don’t live in London but when we visit we always book). We are planning to return in a few weeks. The service is fabulous and the food is superb. My favourite Italian in London and actually the whole of the UK!
Very enjoyable, as always
Very nice Italian restaurant food was excellent
We really really enjoyed our meal here, the staff were super friendly and there was no waiting around to order. Food was delicious (i actually finished off my husbands too) and so reasonably priced for the area. In the same evening we recommended Zia Teresa to my brother who then went abit later on and loved it too. We will definitely be going back and would 100% recommend.
Great food. Just one waitress wasn't as good as the others.
I come twice a year on visits home from Canada! I often bring a friend. We had a great dining experience, but had requested a window seat and didn’t get one. You were terrifically busy that day and we understand...but it would have been nice if the server had at least acknowledged that when she directed us to our table in the main part of the restaurant. Our food was terrific and my carbonara was the best I have ever had! I will return again in the fall when I return to London again! Thank you!
Felt hurried by waitresses hanging around our table, lucky to have window seat but was ruined by the amount of street beggars outside which seriously needs sorting out. We have been to this restaurant for the last 32 years and will probably be our last visit sadly.
Friendly staff, great food and lovely atmosphere
I’ve been going here for years every time I visit London, still wonderful.
We enjoyed a lovely unhurried lunch, well attended by you friendly staff. Thank you all
Very classic Italian restaurant, good for family and friendly dinner. Went there for birthday celebrations with friends. Food was delicious, staff was very nice. Would definitely go back again!
Weak meal. Much better places to go in Knightsbridge
Was a lovely evening out! Thank you!
Loved the piano player - gave it a great atmosphere
I had requested on two occasions to modify the time of our reservation and I never received any reply. So we made other plans and had a wonderful dinner at a different Italian restaurant.
Excellent folks...we loved it
Lovely restaurant - very comfortable and relaxed with great food and service
Quick & efficient as we had train to catch, we both had the same dish but one portion was definitely larger than the other !
Great lunch, authentic Italian food at reasonable prices, all served in a very atmospheric, bustling restaurant. Service was friendly and well paced. We will return when we are nearby. Thanks, Duncan
Very busy but still lovely food and good service
