About Zest Restaurant and Terrace
Our latest menu has been created with an emphasis on the very best of the seasonal produce available here in the Northern Territory and form our neighbouring states.
Our menu has evolved from its original, classical roots to a lighter handed, more natural approach. Where in the past we looked to Europe for ingredients and to the masters of classical cuisines, today we celebrate what is on our door step, choosing beautiful, heirloom and organic vegetables and fruits and allowing them to shine and stand proudly on their own.
Our meat and seafood is local and sustainable. Our relationships are directly with growers and farmers and our inspiration is driven by simple ingredients produced with care and dictated by the seasons.
Our dessert selection is an opportunity to indulge in some traditional and modern selections.
Dinner was superb
Great service and one of the best Chicken Curries I'ved had.
Second time we have been there in just over a week and again, very happy with everything
The whole night was very good. However, we did not appreciate another customer approaching us to do some form of survey/selling. We felt it was intrusion, other than that, could not fault.
We enjoyed our dinner so much and the service was excellent 😍
Went for dinner on Valentines day here and the food & service were both exceptional. I had the 300g scotch fillet, was cooked to perfection, melted in my mouth. My fiancée had the curry of the day, (butter chicken)I must admit I was a little jealous as it was delicious. The staff were absolutely lovely. The tables were set quite romantic, with a huge lovely rose and a cute candle. Will definitely be coming back for dinner, as menu is great!
Great all round
Excellent setting with an appealing menu
Good variety on menu. Nice food in a relaxed setting.
As an Accor member the value for money at this restaurant is first class. Have eaten here a number of times now, and the food on this occasion was magnificent.
Great food and service
My wife really enjoyed her 1st time dining at zest
Nice food, reasonably priced. We'll definitely come back one day.
My wife and I dine for dinner to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary. The waitress who looked after us was attentive and friendly. Food was delicious and well presented. Thank you very much for a lovely evening.
Very pleasant , friendly and helpful staff.
Very average, dessert was woeful, overpriced, will not be going back . Location was good, and the staff excellent, but food was bad.
I definitely enjoyed my visit and would have no hesitation returning next time I visit Darwin.
Lovely meal, with excellent service.
Enjoyed the meal and service
Good food. Barramundi was excellent and steak was cook rare as requested.
Macadamia crusted Barramundi the best we ever had. So good, we came back the next 2 nights to eat. Very special.
Everything was as good as usual. A busy night so we waited over an hour for our meals. Service was ok. We could tell they were understaffed.
The rating of food and drink should be separate. The food was lovely and service good. Your wine list: ordered a bottle of cab sav. Lady came back: not available. Ordered another: lady came back, not available. Ordered another: lady came back not available. So, ordered a red blend. Yuck. Did not finish. Maybe staff could be informed what is and what is not available. Or blank out on menu!!!
I ordered the Barramundi as I was in Darwin for work for a few days and find it is super fresh here. Unfortunately, the piece was so salty, it spoilt the whole experience for me. What a pity as the atmosphere is just lovely at the Zest. I did think to say something but had eaten most of the potato that it came with before I tried a bit of the Barra!! The saltiness of it made it unpalatable but I ate it anyway, as there was no way I could pay for another meal that evening.
