Wondering where to eat in Manly? Zali's Restaurant is a popular on-site restaurant just steps from the beach, Novotel Sydney Manly Pacific has become a dining hotspot for locals and visitors alike.
Treat yourself to delightfully modern Australian cuisine at Zali's Restaurant, open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Overlooking the beach, Zali’s is known for its inspiring views and locally sourced ingredients. We make it easy to maintain balance while traveling with healthy choice menus, fresh seasonal produce and our signature “fresh start” breakfast buffet, featuring barista coffee, bakery-fresh bread, organic items and fresh juices.
The restaurant wasn’t aware of my booking, fortunately it was not busy. FYI, the steak knives (all 3 that we had) were worn down to the point that our meat seemed tough whilst cutting, even though this was not the case.
Friendly staff and good food. I love the restaurant
Nice and friendly staff
nice food and good service. amazing view. reasonable prices.
Had a really good dinner. The starters were outstanding. Staff are great.
Ate at Zali's for evening meal and for breakfast. Dinner was delicious. Would highly recommend pan fried duck. Great food, good service and friendly staff
Restaurant appeared understaffed and waiters inexperienced. Meals took along time to come out and were then cold. We had to resort to the restaurant manager to get service.
Vino was very helpful in ensuring that my fathers 75th birthday lunch went well. Everyone had a great time, and we would definitely recommend it
Unfortunately our meal was delayed by a considerable amount of time so the children were extremely tired by the end of the meal. The food was great in a goos location
Milos our host, and Roberto are charming and attentive waiter ensured that we (group of 7) had a wonderful 70th/joint birthday celebration. They provided table balloons and placed us in a prime position - where we could view the beach and esplanade from dusk into the early evening, whilst comfortably seated in our white clothed/carpeted environment, and able to share each other's company conversation and laughs without having to shout over a crowded din of clatter and voices. The meals were beautifully presented and enjoyed by most, and our waiter brought in the cake with lit candles at just the right moment. (The management most graciously honoured our discount vouchers which made the meals go to the exceptional value category - so wasn't quite sure what star rating to record). So all in all it's a HUGE Thankyou from us!!!🎂💥🎉🎈
We dined with friends (4 adults, 1 child) at Zalis on Australia Day for lunch and was very disappointed. Given it’s location and outlook over Manly beach it has the potential to be an iconic dining venue however with the current level of service and such poor quality meals it is never going to be a place to recommend. We had a great table and the staff were friendly but the food was terrible and the service was amateurish, we all commented it was reminiscent of ‘Fawlty Towers’ - waiters dropping drinks on customers, forgetting orders, delays, customers complaining from multiple surrounding tables, etc. We all ordered Pork Belly for entrees. They were served with soggy skin (not crackling) and were dried out in the middle, it seemed to be reheated. For mains I had Nothern Rivers Sirloin steak which was cooked medium rare as requested but was tough, sinewy, grissly and it was not sirloin, it was largely inedible. The other 3 adults ordered the lamb mains which was marginally better but still tough and not good. I’m an Accor Advantage Plus member, I travel regularly for work in Australia and overseas and usually stay at Accor hotels and dining is generally pretty good, unfortunately the dining experience at Zalis’s is by far the worst I’ve had. We were all disappointed and it was embarrassing access stage I booked it expecting it to be good. We felt sorry for the staff, they were clearly understaffed and experience was lacking. The only positives were the location and a bit of comedy entertainment watching the staff trying to cope.
Excellent food and service with water viewa
Lovely food. Slow service. Had to ask for a drink.15 minutes after being sitted. Friendly service but kept forgetting things and slow. Cancelled deserts after waiting 20 odd minutes.
Staff seemed quite lovely but felt sorry for them as it appeared there were a few unhappy clients. Our boys meals ( chips ) were cold and even though we advised borjinh was done within an appropriate time. My husbands steak was overdone and my fish was quite simply , simple - untasted and strange ... I didn’t bother complaining as we had already mentioned about the kids and husbands meal. Really a disappointment for the Accor brand and for us travelling and making a booking for Christmas Eve for our special famil meal .
Food was fresh and tasty, plenty of variety. Staff were absolutely delightful and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.
Seafood buffet was very generous and if high quality. Highly recommend
Staff were great. the steak I had was possibly the worst meal I have ever had.
The seafood buffet was delightful
Restaurant facilities are still looking very dated and no ambiance to speak of for anything other than having a convenient (but tasty) feed when staying at the hotel.
Service was exceptionally good. The steak was over cooked for a "medium". Pasta enjoyable, pork crackling on entre poor. Duck tasty.
Very flexible minded staff Showed professionalism and curtsy Definitely go back fir the steak and service
Staff were outstanding. Just had to look up and they were there to help, serve drinks or just generally be helpful. Was ruined by the staff member, not part of the restaurant, who came to take the TV away while the races were still on. He asked me if I minded that he took the TV as the 'Kangaroos' (Australian Rugby League team) needed it. I said yes I did mind because I was watching it. He basically said, Bad Luck, and took it away saying he only asked me to be polite. Why bother? If you don't mean it don't ask. And then he gets shirty because I told him so. Oh, and the seafood was excellent.
Another great Melbourne Cup Day, I think our fifth in succession. Great service from Vino and his team. Very friendly, polite and obliging. Thank You!
