About YASHIN SUSHI AND BAR
Yasuhiro MinenoHead chef and co-founder of Yashin
Chef Mineno is one of the most prominent sushi chefs in the UK, if not in Europe, and is respected by his colleagues for his outstanding knife skills. His career started in his late teens, initially as a kaiseki chef in Japan. Having grown up in Shizuoka, a prefecture in Japan renowned for its rich variety of seafood, fresh wasabi and flavoursome green teas, Mineno’s taste buds couldn’t have asked for a better start. It is no wonder why Mineno's passion in his mastery of sushi, lies in simply bringing out the stunning flavours of every ingredient without overpowering it.
I have eaten in most of the top Japanese restaurants in London but Yashin was the most amazing experience i've had so far. I would highly recommend it!
So creative and tasty
A few more vegetarian choices is suggested
I have been positively surprised that they have taken notice of my message left on the website when I booked, regarding my husbands birthday - they have surprised us with a special dessert for him
The decor is lovely and there was clearly a lot of thought put into, so it was a real shame that the ambience was let down by the corny music! Coldplay and George Michael covers on saxophone were funny but would've been nice to hear something more suited to the experience. Apart from that, loved it!
Me and my partner ate there for his birthday and as we hadn't eaten at a sushi restaurant before, were at a loss of what to order. The waitress quickly put us at ease and recommended an excellent sake and we made our menu choices based on the information she gave us. We could not fault the food or the service and were already discussing when we could come again shortly after leaving.
Lovely food and not a bad deal at all if you visit for lunch. A great option near the office.
Great Sushi, the staff where very attentive and knew the menu and where always happy to offer advice about the menu and choice of wine.
We booked a Sunday lunch slot for my daughters birthday and had a wonderful time. The food is sublime and the best sushi i have had, period. Its not the cheapest place to eat but given the quality its reasonable.
Good quality fish, well prepared.
Best sushi in London
Thought it was over priced although food and service were both great.
We opted for the Omakase Eleven which as usual, did not disappoint. A tad on the pricy side of things but worth every penny.
Best sushi in London.
You're my favourite sushi in London. Your waiting staff had no knowledge of where the fish came from. It was over priced last night. Normally I think it's fair I was here in January. Last night seemed expensive. No sommelia tonight. £460 says we need a wine expert. Was very let down by your waiting staff and wine knowledge. Normally you're my favourite restaurant in all of London.
It would be great if there was a bit more choice in the rolls.
Been here a couple of times now, every time it gets better!
A good place for sushi in a restaurant with buzz and also, if you have the upstairs bar seats, you can watch the food being made. The wine list was also comprehensive.
It'd be good if I am being informed that it'd be a shared table I'd be seated. It is quite unfortunate that I have had some really loud customers seated right next to us. I think atmosphere of a restaurant is very much driven by the quality of its clientele. While a restaurant does not have any idea of what the customers turning up will be, I think a restaurant that is positioned as sophisticated with such high price range would be creative about the situation when certain customers are being disturbed by other customers.
The best Japanese in London and one of my favorite restaurants full stop. On Saturday I went for dinner with a Japanese friend of mine and she was very very impressed Thank you
It was our 3rd time here. It is getting better and better. if you love sushi, it is the place to go.
We love yashin sushi
does it really have to be so expensive?
