About Wyatt and Jones
We are an independent, family run, restaurant & bar situated under the historic York Gate, with views of Viking Bay, Broadstairs.
Our menus change with the seasons and our produce is sourced locally. We have an extensive list of Kentish juices, beers, ciders and wines and only use local fishermen and butchers. When lobster is in season it’s caught half a mile away and delivered straight from the boat to our door. We bake our own breads, smoke our own fish and butcher our meats.
We work closely with Master of Wine Clive Barlow on our wine list to ensure our selection is from independent importers and producers. Our list is made up of wines from smaller, quality-focussed growers and winemakers. As well as wines from Kent and Sussex, there are plenty to choose from the Classic regions of Europe such as Burgundy and Bordeaux, Rioja and Piedmonte and you will come across great finds from Austria, Portugal, Spain and Germany.
Fabulous food. A little expensive.
Lovely evening, thank you
Really nice place to eat, especially if the weather is good, seated at our table on time, waitress's and waiter's all very helpful and attentive.
The great view of Viking Bay enhanced the fabulous food and superb service
A very pleasant wedding anniversary meal, with a stunning view of the bay
Thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit on all counts. The quality of food, service and atmosphere were superb. We will definitely be returning next time we are in Broadstairs.
Great restaurant, fab food and quality wines. A great evening
Amazing delicious food. The best, friendly, helpful staff who make you feel very welcome and happy. 😁
Great again for a birthday treat. We were late getting to you but food and service were excellent
Excellent Sunday lunch. Food was superb and service was great.
Lovely venue, delicious food and attentive but not overbearing staff. They were especially great at accommodating the two little ones we had with us. Would definitely go back.
Lovely food. lovely service... and a treat for the dog
Perfect evening, as always. The crab dumplings were absolutely amazing and the steak was tender and succulent. Food and wine second to none, excellent, friendly service. Thanks so much, see you again
We came for brunch on a Sunday and had a great time. Two full English, a vegetarian breakfast plate and a vegan plate. All were freshly cooked and very tasty. Great service and amazing views over the beautiful Viking Bay beach. What more could you want?
Great location and fabulous food and drink options. We had to wait a bit for our main course, but it was worth the wait and the team were apologetic and kept us informed.
Dined at Wyatt and Jones for our company away day, delicious food, great service and lovely wine!
Lovely food, great service, great view from our table. We will definitely be back.
Absolutely exceptional food, the four of us all came away saying the meal was perfectly executed! Also, very accommodating for our group of four adults, a baby, and a dog. Couldn't recommend this restaurant enough.
We had a wonderful meal at Wyatt and Jones, this was our first visit and it was certainly the food highlight of our weekend. The menu is fairly limited, especially as by the time we were order (8ish) there were two items on the menu no longer available, although the fish we did have was superb. The service was ok, it wasn't hugely busy and felt that we could have been given slightly more focus. The restaurant is really quite expensive, prices are pretty much as you'd expect to pay in London.
Another great visit. Certainly the best place to eat in Thanet.
Very good evening
Exceptional service. Delicious food.
This was our second visit, the staff were very welcoming and good service. The food was delicious.
The crab dumplings with seaweed broth were excellent!
I really wanted this to be a wonderful meal but in reality it was patchy. The restaurant is lovely and the view fro our table was terrific. Staff were professional and engaging but we waited a very long time for both courses though many tables were not yet taken at 5.45. The expresso martini is the best I have ever had, the bread, seaweed butter and pardon peppers all I could have wanted. But the lamb was very poor. Tough and sinewy with more fat and connective tissue than meat. Carrot puree was delicious. My partner found the skate wing hard going too but o think she hadn't eaten it before so the cartilage was a surprise. Had to ask for a bowl for the huge pile of debris from skate and mussels. I appreciate being offered tap water. I wasn't excited by the menu when we got there which didn't reflect the websites menu and was surprised to be told mussels only a lunchtime offering when the website had identical menus for lunch and dinner. We were given a reduction on the lamb and that was a nice gesture but sadly I won't be visiting for dinner again. O like the dog friendly policy very much.
