About Wyatt and Jones
We are an independent, family run, restaurant & bar situated under the historic York Gate, with views of Viking Bay, Broadstairs.
Our menus change with the seasons and our produce is sourced locally. We have an extensive list of Kentish juices, beers, ciders and wines and only use local fishermen and butchers. When lobster is in season it’s caught half a mile away and delivered straight from the boat to our door. We bake our own breads, smoke our own fish and butcher our meats.
We work closely with Master of Wine Clive Barlow on our wine list to ensure our selection is from independent importers and producers. Our list is made up of wines from smaller, quality-focussed growers and winemakers. As well as wines from Kent and Sussex, there are plenty to choose from the Classic regions of Europe such as Burgundy and Bordeaux, Rioja and Piedmonte and you will come across great finds from Austria, Portugal, Spain and Germany.
Fantastic - Head Chef Joe Hill - what a dreamboat
The food was lovely however I did feel that the meals should have included vegetables and potato/ chips at that price. Staff were very attentive
Beautiful breakfast with a beautiful view
Always good, i had the ham and mussel chowder. Wife had the veggie cabbage, bit bland. Mushroom starter was a hit. Bring back anchovy toast!
Wonderful food, wonderful service the skate wing was devine, not to be missed if you get the chance. We’ll be back...
I was made to feel very welcome the second I stepped through the door and especially liked the fact that once seated, except for when ordering, I was just left to enjoy my meal. All in all it was a great experience, with a delicious meal and i'll definitely be back again.
Best fish dish I have had for quite a while.
Great breakfast, interesting choice and friendly, helpful staff. We'll be back next time we visit lovely Broadstairs!
We had a fantastic time. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with unusual choices which made the breakfast less ordinary. The service couldn’t have been better and serving for 13 couldn’t have been easy.In fact it was a memorable party for my husband’s 80th.
Our feedback is simply that we LOVE Wyatt & Jones and everything about it. The food is super creative and extremely delicious, the staff and atmosphere are perfect. Always a great experience. Thank you!
We arrived slightly before our reservation but our table was ready which was great. We were made to feel really welcome, as were the dogs, with their own plate of treats. When ordering it was a bit disappointing that the menu had not flexiblity at all, unable to add items at an extra cost and also found it a little uncomfortable when asking for butter for toast to be told there was butter already on the kippers. (The butter on the kippers was really really nice though!)
I have marked the service down as 4 not 5, as I would have liked the drinks before the meal was served. It seemed a little rushed.
We had the most beautiful brunch - food was delicious, fresh and full of flavour. Staff, as always, were really helpful and a buzzing atmosphere. Can I just say it was the first time I'd had the hot chocolate (milk chocolate) and it's now all I can think about! Absolutely gorgeous!
Really, really fantastic. Third time we have been. This time for dinner. Previously for lunch and breakfast. Really sensational menu. Had oysters, ceviche and the John Dory. Brilliant ideas and brilliant execution. We will be back. JD
Lovely lunch and service. Absolutely brilliant restaurant!
Outstanding! Absolutely delicious. Friendly and well informed staff. The owner also took time to welcome us.
Excellent service, food and atmosphere..... always a warm and professional welcome 😎👍
Great vegan option and a lovely Sunday lunch all round. Staff were great.
An absolutely perfect dining experience. Nothing could've made this any better. Just wonderful!
We visited Wyatt & Jones for lunch on a Saturday to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. It was a warm welcome on such a cold day!! We were seated by the window and had a lovely view of the bay. To start we shared the Sourdough with Seaweed butter which was delicious and the bread was warm and crispy on the outside. We had a full view of the kitchen which was brilliant. For main course we had the Poussin with parfait and bread sauce - this was delicious although I think it would be easier if the poussin was already semi- carved before arriving to the table, it can be a little bit hard to do this at the plate with the usual dinner knife. The dish though was perfectly balanced and very tasty. The second main was the hake with confit egg yolk ravioli & prawn bisque, my partner said this was a fantastic meal, perfectly cooked Hake and the ravioli took some skill to execute with the depth of the bisque to compliment it. We also ordered the broccoli & cabbage as sides, these arrived later than the mains but this was noted, removed from the bill & apologised for without us saying a word - very good service. We rounded off the meal with the chocolate tart & malt ice cream, perfect sweet finish and just the right size. All in all we would come back to Wyatt & Jones and I would say it is worth visiting Broadstairs if only for this restaurant!
Absolutely fantastic restaurant - great menu, atmosphere and staff. It is some of the best food we've eaten anywhere.
Food was delicious. Cheese course is overpriced for what it is.
Excellent fish and veggie options, all very tasty. Great service and wine, top notch !
Had a lovely breakfast catching up with friends. Service and food great. Thank you!!
