About Wyatt and Jones
We are an independent, family run, restaurant & bar situated under the historic York Gate, with views of Viking Bay, Broadstairs.
Our menus change with the seasons and our produce is sourced locally. We have an extensive list of Kentish juices, beers, ciders and wines and only use local fishermen and butchers. When lobster is in season it’s caught half a mile away and delivered straight from the boat to our door. We bake our own breads, smoke our own fish and butcher our meats.
We work closely with Master of Wine Clive Barlow on our wine list to ensure our selection is from independent importers and producers. Our list is made up of wines from smaller, quality-focussed growers and winemakers. As well as wines from Kent and Sussex, there are plenty to choose from the Classic regions of Europe such as Burgundy and Bordeaux, Rioja and Piedmonte and you will come across great finds from Austria, Portugal, Spain and Germany.
We have been coming to Wyatt and Jones for three years and have thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. We were a little worried when there was a change in chef and we were subject to some teething problems bur last night we were delighted to find that normal service was resumed! In fact I would go as far as to say it was one of the best meals we have had at Wyatt and Jones. The place Day Boat sharing platter was exceptional! I am still raving about it. Lovely Muscadet to wash it down and the children’s menu which is equally as well put together and cooked just rounds off an amazing family night out. Highly recommend this restaurant and can’t wait to go back!
Great restaurant but the very expensive lobster was poorly cooked. The claw meat had turned to slime. We were told it was grilled lobster but it was clearly boiled.
The food was excellent quality and the staff were attentive without being overbearing.
Love this place 8 of us for breakfast Love the pancakes and bacon
Always great food, good size portions and excellent wine and service. You'd pay double in London for this
Lovely restaurant. Great service. Delicious food. really good wine list - lots to choose from. I can't really fault it. London prices.
Would prefer a paper menu rather than a menu on a blackboard.
Excellent service, food and drink, as always.
Excellent service, food and drink, as always.
Delicious breakfast, lovely friendly service
Superb meal, with lovely, personable, service at the start of the exceptionally busy Folk Week. Salmon tartare, pork dumplings, plaice with courgette and chilli, and the market fish (sea bass) in a glossy prawn bisque really stood out. It's been very good at W&J of late, but this was even better. Thanks all.
Second time we've eaten here and don't have a bad word to say, food is great and service excellent. We're Dairy & Wheat free, and quite picky but managed okay.
Breakfast was delicious and the Service was 10/10. Thank you.
We are regular visitors to your restaurant With friends and family and always Had excellent dining experiences
Great local restaurant.
Attentive and well versed waiting staff who made us feel comfortable and advised on menu choices. Easy relaxed atmosphere and not a fault to be picked
Good food for adults. Kids menu a bit adventurous for our children. Maybe trying too hard. Dessert was 2 small scoops of ice cream in a bowl for £4 which is expensive when there is a fab ice cream shop next door for half the price. Need to work on kids menu . It was a little hot in there - which I know can’t be helped if the weather is good but this has to be taken into account with the pricing of food - which takes time to arrive so do be ready to wait a bit ! This is our second visit - we preferred the first time - last year in all honesty . Still worth a visit tho if you have a higher budget
We usually visit 2 or 3 times a year and have recommended to many friends as its always been beautiful food and a fabulous breakfast spot. However we were a little disappointed this time as the menu had changed.full I always raved about the smoked breakfast as it was something different and the full English is now a bit smaller.
Really enjoyed our evening a very special meal
Best meal ever.
Top lunch again at W and J - it never fails to disappoint..!
It was so good. The very best food on the south coast.
Good food, interesting menu, fresh ingredients, especially the fish. Attentive front of house. We had a wonderful lunch.
Great atmosphere and super food worth a mitchelin star all day!! Attention to detail is very refined and a great view of the fireworks with a glass in hand what more could we ask for!
