A Liverpool bistro from the team behind Sticky Walnut / Burnt Truffle and Hispi.
Our aim has always been to provide perfectly simple food in a relaxed environment, using the best quality produce possible. Everything in our restaurants is made from scratch, including fresh bread daily, all stocks and sauces, ice creams and sorbets. Wreckfish will be no different.
Wonderful first visit and we'll definitely be back. Food and particularly service were both really lovely. A perfect end to our day at the grand national so thanks for putting up with us!
It was a wonderful experience from start to finish and we'll definitely be coming back. The food was incredible, excellent value, beautifully presented with excellent service, choice, decor... hospitality and kindness with our surprise anniversary treats as well. This place is incredible.

Our group of 4 has a really lovely evening. All the dishes were delicious and well presented. Portion sizes were just right for a 3 course meal. Excellent friendly service and a great relaxed atmosphere in the downstairs restaurant (compared with the St Patrick's Day mayhem in the bars nearby!). Thoroughly recommended.
Great service and stunning unpretentious food.
We had a little hiccup at the start of our evening with our order not being taken for a long time. Once the waiter realised he was really apologetic and did everything he could to repair the problem. Fantastic food and I lovely restaurant we will return.

The relaxed but ordered environment of Wreckfish where we were served by open, friendly staff with good, imaginative food made for the perfect evening for myself and long-time friend to catch-up in comfort. Noise levels were nicely muted (although the restaurant wasn't full)
The whole package - a comfortable, good looking room; welcoming, knowledgeable FOH staff; terrific, unfussy food - don't miss the steak tartare, skate with brown butter or coffee roasted lamb; smart wine list; and all at a friendly price. Chapeau!

I always have rated and recommend Gary’s restaurants to anyone Who will listen. He seems to have a skill of employing the right people, it appears to me that this success is a result of him investing in them and focusing on their development and always having their backs. Great swearer also, which I fucking love. Wreckfish is a great restaurant, looks grand, good atmosphere, decent hand dryers (lol out loud) Food is well cooked, not overbearing with confusing description of made up words or Over complicated. The service was good and Katy on front of house was keen, attentive and friendly. Thanks, and I look forward to my next visit!
Great wine. Good food. Outstanding chips. We were quite hungry when we came so we were hoping for slightly bigger portion sizes but I will still be recommending to my friends. The staff were friendly and polite and were knowledgeable about the food and wine.

The food was delicious and the staff were very attentive. There was a slight delay in taking our drink orders but that was to be expected as it was very busy. We will definitely be back.
The seating area downstairs lacks atmosphere. The food was average with many dishes being simply under seasoned. I found the experience average.
Wonderful evening. Had early dining menu, and it was superb. The quality of the food is exceptional, and on a par with much more expensive meals I've had at Michelin star restaurants. Will definitely be returning, and will be recommending to all! Many thanks.
Loved it! Having enjoyed the intimacy of The Sticky Walnut, Wreckfish managed to maintain the same ambiance in its voluminous home. The food, as always was first class (empty plates on every course). The service, warm, friendly and good fun. Like I say; ‘We loved it!’
Our favourite of the four restaurants.The staff are fabulous, and we love the addition of the bar at Wreckfish, with great barmen too. The food is always amazing, you need to get Luke to teach the other bistros to cook the arancini and the porter ice cream dessert - our favourite recipes! What a way to celebrate our anniversary!
