Fantastic service and atmosphere. However one point which was critical to mention. The afternoon tea which was served on the wooden platters were dusty. This was noticed by us which made us leave most of the cakes. Its imperative that anything served is clean and wiped .
We were made to feel very safe on our first venture out to eat after lockdown.
Wonderful location.Had lovely afternoon tea, very relaxing.
Gorgeous afternoon tea, gorgeous venue. Can't wait to come back!
The food and service was excellent - one of the tastiest meals I've had for a long time!
A very friendly welcome at Wood Hall Hotel. The hotel is beautifully presented. We had a lovely afternoon.
Afternoon tea was really disappointing and not worth £22.50 each. Far too much sweet items and not enough sandwiches. Found a hair in one of the cakes and informed the waitress who said she would check to see if there was another piece of cake available to which we declined as I was already put off by that point. Place needs a good clean and was really dusty.
Enjoyed the afternoon tea, lovely hotel and staff!
Delicious champagne afternoon tea with plenty to eat and drink. Friendly impeccable service. Bargain on the two for one offer. Very much enjoyed.
Good quality and quantity of tasty bites for our afternoon tea The manager spoke to us for quite a while discussing the hotel and its sister hotels across the country
We had booked a champagne afternoon tea but did not get any champagne. The staff were friendly but we were in a room out of the way and felt forgotten. One of the hot drinks was not brought out until after we’d eaten the food, cakes were a little disappointing.
Faultless service and a delicious afternoon tea. Perfect!
Drinks vastly overpriced and overall other hotels we have stayed in have been just as nice but a lot better value for money
Very enjoyable experience
Excellent location, comfortable restaurant area, good service from the moment we arrived to leaving. Excellent food Will return again and maybe stay overnight
This was the best food I have ever eaten in my entire life. It was a shame that the restaurant was so very cold. It spoiled it just a little. One of the young waiting staff didn't seem to have been trained properly and he had no idea which side to serve from and kept leaning across. Also be prepared to be told by the waiting staff how much you will leave as a tip. This is automatically added to your bill. I thought that was quite horrendous. Again, it took the shine off the delicious food.
Very good choice on the ala carte menu and the food was delicious. Service was faultless. Slightly disappointed with the choice on the 5 course taster menu on Wednesday but that is the risk with a restricted menu. However on Thursday 30 Jan that menu suited my wife and I perfectly and we both thoroughly enjoyed all 5 courses.
Service seemed a bit disjointed - at one point dining room was full with no one around for at least 10mins
The Beef Cheeks were one of the best dishes I have tasted in a long time thank you!
Lovely meal in relaxed surroundings of a beautiful hotel
We got married at woodhall and have loved it every time we have been back, never finding fault. Keep up the good work!
Fantastic dinner. Many thanks.
Beautiful setting, excellent value for money with the afternoon tea offer and good service. My only complaint is that some of the cakes were a bit similar - creme patisserie - no chocolate, strawberry or a lemon cake, all of which would have added more variety.
Lovely afternoon champagne tea with great service.
The hotel and rooms were lovely however we were very disappointed with the dinner service. The food was first rate, but the service was now very warm and was quite in friendly. In fact we found the waitresses to be quite cool, as was the heating temperature in the room. When I asked about the heating she said it’s as it is. We ordered a bottle of red wine and a glass of rose in the bar. The red came but my rose never arrived. I asked again and it still didn’t come. When I had finished my main course (4th course!) the waitress said ‘I’m still waiting on your wine!’ I told her not to bother as it was too late by this time. I didn’t get an apology or offer of anything else. This was a shame as it should have been a lovely evening which was to celebrate my mums 79th. birthday. We have stayed at several of your hotels including woodhall spa and have always had good dinner service so disappointing. The breakfast was very good and friendly though.
