About Woky Ko : Kauto
Modern Asian Restaurant in the Woky Ko Group serving noodles, bao and cocktails run by Masterchef finalist Larkin Cen
Food was fantastic and very personable service. Would definitely go back again.
Front of house were excellent, friendly, happy and super knowledgable about the menu and ingredients.
Great addition to the food scene that end of town - highly recommend
We dropped by after reading rave reviews and it didn't disappoint! Traditional home cooked chinese/fusion with an interesting twist. Our little girl lapped up the char siu noodles like a hoover. Credit to the chefs! Brisk friendly service for a mostly student crowd but they were very accommodating to us when I strolled in with a buggy. Hope to pop in again soon!
Good selection of small dishes: more limited selection of main dishes. All very tasty and good quality - particularly recommend the bao. Staff very attentive and helpful. Quite noisy though.
I have eaten many times in your restaurant at Cargo and loved it. Somehow you have lost the magic of Cargo and the food is not to the same standard. Shame. I will try Cargo again but not the triangle. Been twice now and disappointed both times. The cheung fun was in a sauce that was highly salty and destroyed my taste buds for anything that followed. As for the atmosphere do you really think you cater for guests who want the heavy beat if too loud music (I could hear another group complaining). Overall it felt dissapointing and over priced
Our order got a bit muddled but the wait staff were very friendly. The pork bao bun was particularly good.
Delicious food. The bao were interesting (not had them before - strange texture) - tasty. Had the duck noodle salad - lovely. Was still a bit hungry at the end... should have ordered a few more small dishes. Would definitely go back.
Can’t fault the food! Service could be improved
Amazing food, amazing value for money. Chilled atmosphere, would definitely go again!
Nice but not as good as some other places selling similar food in Bristol eg Ramen Ya. Bao and cocktails were really nice. Duck pancakes were really overpriced for the quantity and supermarket level taste.
Disappointed. Appreciate it’s fast food but we felt pushed to order then had to wait for ages. My main was substantially later than my friend’s. She would have finished if she hadn’t waited for at least 10 minutes before agreeing to start without me. The fun pei noodles were tasteless. I think a black fungus was served with them which was also tasteless and the same texture. There was a tiny amount of matchstick courgettes and a few nuts in the dish. The stock was faintly peppery but otherwise tasteless. My friend enjoyed her curry and the desserts were ok. The servers were friendly.
Uncooked noodles in the ramen, "crispy" duck covered in uncooked fat and small portions for the price. Waiting staff were slightly overbearing, not knowing when to leave us alone to consider the menu and having to be asked to give us a moment several times.
The food is amazing, I’d been to their smaller location on Wapping Wharf which is excellent so knew I’d have to come visit their new restaurant. It did not disappoint! Lovely staff who are really friendly and helpful, incredible food (I wanted most of the menu) and a relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely be going again!
Being regulars at Wokyko Cargo and making our second visit to Kauto, the service we received from Michal and his team was first class. We asked for a winduw seat when making the reservation and Michal was thoughtful enough to contact us to see if we wanted wanted to sit up or down stairs which was very kind. Our food came very quickly and was absolutely delicious. We are very pleased to add Wokyko Kauto to our repertoire of regular high class eateries. See you soon, Mark and Sharon
Great food, very reasonable prices and excellent service. We will definitely be back!
I’ve been to Woky Ko about 5 times now, I’ve always been very happy with the food. I even left google reviews because I enjoyed it so much. Recently when I went the Bao’s, Miso Hake and Typhoon Prawns were all delicious but the broth in the Tang was flat, almost no flavour - the broth is usually what I enjoy most, I hope this was just a one off.
Staff were very good. Delicious food!
Music was way too loud.
Service was incredibly quick. We were a group of 5 and were all highly impressed with the lunchtime menu. We're all eager to visit again and sample the evening menu.
great service, newly opened at this address. food is outstanding, and we'll be going back again, soon....
Been waiting to try this place for a while, and it did not disappoint. The korean fired chicken was so good cant wait to come back.
The food is very reasonable and very tasty certainly compared to larger chain restaurants. The service is very good, they provided us with extra resources Oates so we could share dishes more easily which was very helpful. Will definitely be coming back
