About Woky Ko : Kaiju
Modern Japanese 'Izakaya' by WokyKo, serving Ramen, Yakitori, and draught Asian beer by Masterchef finalist Larkin Cen.
Absolutely incredible meal. It's most definitely our new favourite place to eat. The food was fresh and super tasty, nicely unusual and great variety. The cocktails were also delicious and the staff went out of their way to help. Recommending it highly.
Delicious, creative food in a great setting. We will be back!
A very enjoyable culinary experience. We ordered an awful lot of food for only four people even to the point of the Chef (bless him) recommending that we reduced the order. We didn't and we are glad that we didn't as all food was delicious. Very quick and speedy service. Highly recommended.
Your team were excellent, really friendly and helpful. The children in our group aged 10 and 13 enjoyed their food too.
Food is delish, especially the ramen, the broth is so good!
Great selection of dishes, ramen was incredible. Will definitely be back!!
Amazing food and really excellent, friendly service. We had a wonderful meal and will definitely be going back!
Interesting menu. High standard cooking!
It was my first time coming to Kaiju (and actually trying out the “woky ko” brand in general) and both myself and my friend had thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This will definitely not be my last trip to visit - if anything, it’ll be detrimental to my purse. Mushroom ramen was delightful - can I get the recipe? I also tried the charred gem salad and the steak with a yuzu dressing. All staff working were lovely, and super friendly. This place is definitely worth a visit!
Excellent service from very knowledgeable staff. Always ready to answer a question or take an order for another dish. The best Negroni I have had in Bristol to date but the bavette of beef could have been much easier to eat if sliced smaller. Will definitely be back for more
Amazing pork ramen! The broccoli and Leeks were pretty fabulous too. A stand-out restaurant in the Cargo crowd.
I love Woky Ko & it was the 3rd one iv been to now. My only negative was that the seating was incredibly cramped together. It might as well have been bench seating which I wouldn’t have minded. It wasn't an ideal table for a date, but I would return anyway ☺️
Great food! Thanks guys!
Unfortunately the dishes and service didnt quite live up to expectations after seeing images and great reviews on social media (the dishes we were served almost unrecognizable from the social media posts). Not bad food, but not great. Big fan of the original Wokyko and will continue to eat here.
Had lunch on Saturday, nice big windows make the space feel more open which I liked. Food and service was excellent, a bit on expensive side but definitely worth it, I was born and grew up in Japan so quite picky about “Japanese food” in this country. The restaurant and food was almost too good and stylish to call it an izakaya! Only thing is that maybe the staff should wear t shirt saying hello in Japanese in stead of Chinese if it wants to be really Japanese themed! Overall great experience and would definitely go back and recommend to friends.
The music was quite loud and, like all those shipping containers, it's a bit cramped. The service was really good and the ramen was delicious if a little small for £13.
Lovely dishes, enjoyed by all the family!
Great food. Really different and delicious. Reasonably priced. Staff were a little slow, and we had to ask a few times to place an order, if our table was ready. That said they were all lovely and the girl from Bridgend whose name I didn't get, was a star. We'll definitely be back!
Amazing service, food was all delicious and perfect atmosphere!
As regulars at the other Woky's we were really keen to try Kaiju. We really enjoyed the food. Staff were really helpful in helping us understand the menu. Thoroughly recommend it!
Great atmosphere and staff were lovely. However, I had chewy beef which I struggled to eat. The portions of each dish were too small - I was sharing with two others and although the staff said we ordered enough, I left feeling hungry and dissatisfied. If I was to order enough food to feel full at the end, the bill would have been extortionate. I understand that the restaurant is new so won’t write it off completely but I won’t be returning any time soon.
Friendly staff . We thought they could be more confident in recommendations and guidelines when assisting customers when ordering
