About Wiveton Hall Cafe
Wiveton Hall Café, which overlooks the marshes and out to sea, opened in 2007 and quickly gained a reputation for fine, wholesome food. Situated on the fruit farm, surrounded by strawberry fields and raspberry canes, the food is always seasonal which is reflected in the regularly changing menu.
Lovely setting. Rather over priced pizza. £2.50 for a small bowl of salad. Only adults order arrived. Children’s order went missing. But we were not charged for them.
Pizza night at Wiveton Hall cafe is always the top of our agenda when in Norfolk. It delivers not only incredible pizza in a great setting with great staff but literally everything is catered for including a play area for the kids and even blankets for when it gets a bit cold outside. We always keep coming back as its one of the very best eating places in Norfolk. Simple but really effective.
Lunch and fruit picking at Wiveton Fruit Farm is one of our favourite things to do on a holiday to Norfolk.
Service could be quicker to clear but the staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious- we all ordered different from the menu and everything was great. Kids menu was good and iced coffee was good.
This place is fabulous- don't change a single thing!
We love the setting but too many kids and dogs near us on Tapas night this time (sorry, but we prefer a relaxing meal out) Food was very good, albeit a little overpriced for what you get, however, everything was cooked to perfection and hot. A good selection of Tapas foods; I would recommend having 3 or 4 varieties of dishes each to share throughout the evening and not waste money on an expensive desert. Order as you want the dishes so they don’t all come out at once. If you do decide to have a desert, avoid the banoffee; it’s just runny sickly slop. Waiting staff attentive and didn’t rush us, so felt happy to sit as long as we wanted to. All in all, a good meal which we would do again albeit slightly differently now we know what to expect.
A very enjoyable experience . Friendly , helpful staff . Food was excellent . We will be back!
After the garden tour, with occasional sprinkles of rain, which did not spoil our enjoyment of Desmond's story telling, we were ready for our lunch. The Wiveton salad was impressive with much variety, no limp lettuce leaves!! The ham and the baked goats cheese were delicious. After that there was no room for dessert, and we didn't quite finish the salad. We'll be back next year I hope.
Although we enjoyed our dining experience and would definitely recommend our time before our reservation was spent looking around the gardens before we ate it was a shame the directions were a little confusing and the gardens were very run down and not very inspiring it certainly was not value for money it’s such a shame as I’m sure this could be a pleasant and enjoyable walk.
Wiveton Cafe has always been a wonderful place to go and eat. The food was lovely. Unfortuately our time at Wiveton Cafe was tanted by the terrible rose wine served to us. We mentioned this to the waitress and sent back the full glasses of wine which was unpalatable and re ordered a different wine, which was much nicer. However we were told that we would still have to pay for the original wine at £5 per glass!! NOT IMPRESSED.
Went into the cafe and were met with a sign that said to go through to the main cafe to be seated, once through we were told to go back to the front door and wait!! Table wasn't ready but only took a few minutes to sort. We sat in the conservatory which was plesent. Drinks and food came promptly after ordering and was lovely, all of our 7 guests said they had enjoyed the food. Cake and coffees for desert also all lovely. Apart from the initial encounter with staff the young lady who served us was polite and open. The staff who brought the food and drinks we're polite and friendly. Overall it was an enjoyable visit and my grandmother who's 85th birthday we were celebrating really enjoyed it.
A wonderful atmosphere. I would recommend the crab salad. The staff were efficient and very friendly.
Pleasant cafe. One or two of the staff a bit surly in their attitude. Menu fairly limited. Shame the cakes were bought in and not home made.
My crab sandwich at £10 was disappointing. Supermarket white bread was used and was dry so must have been left out . Cheese sandwich at £9 ? Thought very overpriced
Wonderful as always
Very good food and excellent service.
Gluten free served with no problem - well done.
Unique dining experience.
Excellent food and welcoming staff. We look forward to returning every year, especially for the beef and reef and tapas nights.
Food was nice, but expected something a little more adventurous .... Great service.
Great food and service
Perfect in all respects, again! Staff never seem flustered regardless of customer “pressures”. Jolly good job we booked ahead but even then, several unbooked groups came to ask if any chance! None were turned away but offered waiting times. Always a delightful occasion.
Everything is perfect. One of my favourite places in the world ❤️
