About Wiveton Hall Cafe
Wiveton Hall Café, which overlooks the marshes and out to sea, opened in 2007 and quickly gained a reputation for fine, wholesome food. Situated on the fruit farm, surrounded by strawberry fields and raspberry canes, the food is always seasonal which is reflected in the regularly changing menu.
We visited twice in one week. Once for the Santa experience and the other the Christmas menu lunch. On both occasions the food was excellent and the staff brilliant. They were also very helpful regarding the little toddlers which is always a relief as they are somewhat unpredictable little treasures. Thank you so much. Happy New Year
we all had a lovely time and enjoyed our food and drinks. there was a good atmosphere and a lovely log fire burning,a good time had by all, Merry Christmas.
We've been going to Wiveton Hall for years, but it's got to be said that the kitchen there is on particularly strong form at the moment. We had Christmas dinner - favourites included the lightest, most elegant mackerel pate, sprouts gently carmelised and full of flavour, and a heady, fragrant and definitely home-made Christmas pudding. The new wood burner is a success, the staff charming and cheerful, the wine list thoughtfully chosen and good value. Wiveton Hall's Christmas incarnation is a definite source of joy in the North Norfolk world. Happy Christmas to all involved.
great Christmas meal, great location, good food at a reasonable price thank you to all the staff and we wish then a very merry xmas.
Warm welcoming atmosphere with very friendly service. Good food. Well done.
Everything was perfect for our early Xmas lunch with our family and grandson. It was a much better experience than our last visit when we were disappointed with the Food & Drink, Atmosphere, Service and value for money - a truly great improvement. Thank You.
We had a very enjoyable night with good food and drink and great service. I hope that keeping the cafe open longer this year and having evening dining at the weekend has been a great success and that it will be repeated again next year.
Great service. Really enjoyed Santa in his tractor! Appreciated that the food was nice and hot on serving.
Lovely meal and a great place to meet up with friends. Good value too.
The best place to eat on the North Norfolk coast. Its great that the cafe is now open for a longer season.
Excellent Christmas lunch our group enjoyed the meal and appreciated the warmth of the stove. Many thanks to all staff, and best wishes for Christmas. We look forward to Spring 2020 !
A lovely relaxed lunch was had once again at the wiverton cafe with the beautiful views over the marsh.
My favourite place!
We had a lovely lunch. Excellent food and great service. Thank you.
A lovely place - enjoyable meal
Thoroughly enjoyable Christmas lunch - roast Norfolk turkey with all the trimmings, followed by individual Christmas pudding with brandy butter for my husband and chocolate torte with raspberry sorbet for me. Absolutely delicious. Great service and wonderful views - we will be back.
Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to the café. Superb food, service & ambiance. Will definitely return when next in Norfolk.
We had a really delicious meal-the Xmas menu was perfect-good portions and very tasty. Very friendly and helpful staff-best meal we have had in North Norfolk this weekend ! So pleased that you were open in December! Many Thanks Hugh Hamilton
We’re regular visitors so we’re pleased to see that your cafe is open for a longer season this year. We came with friends on 1st December when you had a ‘festive’ menu, unfortunately not much choice for people with dietary requirements, and sadly the festive turkey meal was very poor value, not your usual substantial plateful of food, the gravy was very sparse and very ‘thin’ and there were hardly any vegetables. The selection of puddings offered didn’t cater for diabetics, we did ask if cheese and biscuits were available sadly not. That option would have been perfect. The custard on the Christmas pudding was very minimal leaving the pudding dry, so we were very disappointed with the food. The Wiveton Salad was a much better main meal option on this occasion, I’m glad I had that! Service and atmosphere were wonderful as usual and we had a sunny day, so thank you for organising that. We hope you’ll take note of our comments on the food.
I booked a table near the window. And arrived to find people in it.. albeit they had been there since 12 and I booked at2pm. For both those people and I . It would be good customer service to explain the table is booked at 2. That gives good service prior to enjoying your meal. We did however get near the window . 25mis later.. but it all could be avoided.. don’t know whether I will go back.
Absolutely delicious lunch with family - I LOVE it here!
Lovely that dogs are made so welcome too!
Consistently delicious food well cooked and with excellent service in a setting that is just magnificent!
What a lovely place with great views and friendly, helpful service. Plenty of choice on the menu and good sized portions. Well stocked and interesting shop on site too. We will be back to enjoy the Christmas menu.
Had a lovely meal, look after by friendly staff, will be returning.
