About Wiveton Bell
Welcome to the Wiveton Bell situated on the Village Green and close to the unspoilt salt marshes of the North Norfolk coastal landscape which is a listed site of Outstanding Natural Beauty and just two minutes drive or ten minutes walk from Blakeney.
Although renowned for its cuisine, the Bell is faithful to its roots as a traditional village pub where people can wander in with walking boots and dogs to enjoy good company as well as fine ales, wine and food.
We hope you will choose to visit the Wiveton Bell where our happy team of local staff look forward to getting to know you.
Wonderful meal. Will be sure to visit again.
Food was good. We booked for the restaurant but were seated in the Bar. I did tell the Ball that my husband was a wheelchair user but they didn't tell us that , although a wheelchair can get through the door there is no disabled toilet. So this is not a good place to go for wheelchair users
Yes another lovely dinner, we are never disappointed at The Wiveton Bell.
Good food although the roast was lacking decent roast potatoes, carrots were a bit lacking in flavour, and the crackling on one slice of pork was not done rubbery. The crab starter with soup was well balanced as was the over all meal. The waitress was friendly and human, unlike some who are too mannered. I'd come back because the environment was relaxed.
Lovely meal. Battered Haddock was a significant size and delicious. Hubby had the hake which he really enjoyed. Not a bone in site. Perfect We shared a cheese dish which was good but could have had a wider selection of cheese Attentive staff Very popular so suggest you book ahead
A lovely place in a nice village. The food was lovely as was the atmosphere. It was quite busy but that was understandable once we’d found out how great the food was. Our server Sophie was great too. Booking is a must!
Please update your website
A lovely evening. Thank you.
A really enjoyable time. Lovely staff. Great environment.
All round, throroughly enjoyable as always.
Lively, lovely locally sourced food.
The food and service were both brilliant! The hake with the caramelised onion underlay and olive crust was one of the best fish dishes I have ever eaten!! As always, amazing! The servers were so friendly, and efficient and helpful, altogether a perfect night out! My favourite place around here (and we're spoilt for choice) but the Wivvy Bell is always our top fave!
A really lovely pub, with great food, service and lovely surroundings.
A lovely find - food and service excellent. We will definitely return when we come down to Norfolk next year. Thank you!
Visit whenever we can whilst meeting up with friends who live in Norfolk. Know what to expect. Pleasant welcome, nice dining area both inside & outside. Good range of beers & always an attractive menu. Bit on the pricy side & not the largest of portions, but tasty.
Lovely surroundings, helpful staff and really delicious food. I'll definitely come back and definitely recommend to others
First time there and have already been recommending. Service was absolutely fantastic as were the staff and the food was absolutely spot on. Attention to detail was fabulous
Took the grandparents out for Sunday lunch. Grandma had the beef roast and it was delicious. She said it was the best beef she had tasted in forty years! Thank you to all at the Bell. Top class.
I am a Coeliac, I found our serving staff member very helpful and willing to ensure my food was Gluten free. The only downside was screaming small children in main restaurant area. I understand it’s holiday time but the children were very young and obviously tired, perhaps the parents should have been aware rather than it’s all about me?
Superb meal in a beautiful setting. Staff worked incredibly hard to ensure we had a perfect meal. Thanks to all at Wiveton
We were lucky enough to dine twice this week ... a party of 4 with a 4 month old baby and pram ... very welcoming ... fabulous food ... an absolute delight ... we will be back in December !! Thanks
Overall it was okay we did not feel it was great I would say it did not meet our expectations which admitably were high. Our main observations: Arrival reception: ambiguous (we had popped in a couple of hours before our booking and when we returned on time our table had been given to a walk in and we are asked to wait by the bar where it was very busy and we were not able to order a drink) Table service: Very Good Menu both set and a la carte were limited. (we did not expect a long list but wanted a more varied choice). Food was brasserie style but not as good as your average Cote Brasserie: we felt both more expensive and with less choice. The restaurant was about half full but you were just about coping, what happens when it's full? Ambiance and setting were both very good
Excellent food, we chose the set menu, we both thoroughly enjoyed the meal great value.
We really enjoyed our meal last night, the restaurant had a real buzz and the serving staff were attentive considering the number of customers and tables being turned. The quality of our food was fantastic and I particularly enjoyed the ham hock terrine, with the chorizo chutney, very tasty. The highlight for all of us was the duck egg custard tart which was silky smooth - texture and richness was incredible. I gave value 4 stars as the set menu was good value, however I would prefer side vegetables to be part of a main course or made clear that they need to be ordered with mains..
