About Wiveton Bell
Welcome to the Wiveton Bell situated on the Village Green and close to the unspoilt salt marshes of the North Norfolk coastal landscape which is a listed site of Outstanding Natural Beauty and just two minutes drive or ten minutes walk from Blakeney.
Although renowned for its cuisine, the Bell is faithful to its roots as a traditional village pub where people can wander in with walking boots and dogs to enjoy good company as well as fine ales, wine and food.
We hope you will choose to visit the Wiveton Bell where our happy team of local staff look forward to getting to know you.
One of the best meals I’ve had for a long time.
Our last meal gree was in October 2017, and it was good, this meal was even better, quality and presentation was superb, it was though the " bar had been raised" , as had the result, fabulous food, in a relaxing atmosphere, and great service to go with it. Looking forward to our next visit...
Nicely prepared food although the menu was not as extensive as we had expected. Our main disappointment was that the table in the conservatory was so close to the adjoining one. This was a special occasion but it felt as though we shared the entire meal with strangers?
Sunday roast. Beef tough and had to use steak knife, carrots raw, courgette sloppy, the whole meal was disappointing in view of the ratings on trip advisor and our daughters recommendation to eat there.
Service impeccable throughout! Food cooked to perfection, wine selection brilliant and affordable.
The food is brilliant but so are the staff!! They are so friendly, helpful, amazingly efficient even at tough times! They're wonderful! I'm a regular - Nicolle Freni Please use new gmail address [email protected] (Old AOL one now defunct)
Our two dogs were greeted with a bowl of fresh water on arrival, which impressed us both. For us, a carafe of water with cucumber - wonderfully refreshing. The food, as per our previous visit, was really very good and great value - we appreciate the use of locally-sourced ingredients and the Wiveton Bell offers plenty. The portions, we found, are just right - the flavours and presentation are beautiful (thank you chef & team). The staff are all very personable and friendly, adding to the gentle buzz and atmosphere of the place - it's clearly a popular pub so I would say booking is advisable (all done simply online for us).
Had the usual great Sunday lunch here with family. Service was very friendly and helpful. Wasn't mad about the Pinot Grigio at £27. Just my opinion. There are others out there that are much better. This is one of my favourite restaurants anywhere.
Great front of house service and fabulous food. Will highly recommend.
Makes you realise how many “gastro-pubs” fall short: this was a thoroughly enjoyable experience in every respect. Atmosphere, friendliness, top class service, delicious food, it didn’t put a foot wrong. We went on recommendation, and we will recommend it to others.
The steak cooked on the fire was outstanding - quite the best we have had for years. Most of the staff were warm friendly and efficient (the morning manager was a bit of a grump - the only person who was not delightful) Maybe he was preoccupied with rotas - perhaps better done in the office if he didnt want to be friendly. Our stay (two nights) was memorable - the art is exceptional.
Fantastic menu, executed beyond expectations. Friendly, professional and unobtrusive service in fantastic surroundings
Exceptional food and customer service. I would be delighted to recommend the Wiveton Bell to any of my friends and colleagues. Thank you for two very enjoyable evenings. Kind regards Brian Cummings
Refreshing to have friendly-attentive staff.....a few local venues could learn a few tips on how to look after customers.
Great food & great service, one of our favourite places for Sunday lunch.
Unfortunately my friends and I didn’t have a very good experience. We were left waiting for our meal for 45 minutes. We were not asked for additional drinks at all at the table. The meal was Luke warm when it arrived. I had to return my meal because the steak was not cooked to my liking. It was tough and difficult to eat. We didn’t think the menu offered a lot of choice. The staff however were friendly and the facilities nice. Won’t be returning again which is a shame because we spend a lot of time in the area.
The food itself was well prepared and well presented. Staff were excellent but our main course was very slow incoming, although ` member of staff did come to our table to apologise. My bill included drinks from another table which fortunately I noticed but is not a good experience
Despite being extremely busy on a Bank Holiday Monday, staff took the time to talk to us and the food was great, its a great pub with a lovely atmosphere and I will defiantly be returning.
A fabulous meal and service.
Lovely place, great service- portion size very poor- paid £44 for a pork dish supposedly for sharing which wasn’t enough for one
Great food and service
This was our first visit and we will definitely be back again the staff couldn’t do enough for you, the food was superb and great value for money. We both loved the atmosphere in the pub very dog friendly. Highly recommended.
Delicious food, fantastic setting, comfy seats, friendly and prompt service- will be back
The staff were friendly and welcoming, lovely environment, great food and atmosphere, will definitely be returning.
Very friendly and knowledgable staff. Very dog friendly. A really nice place to have dinner.
