Sunday Funday Brunch is a great day! A delicous selection of food to choose from accompanied by bottomless sparkling wine, while our children were well entertained with face painting and balloons. Staff were friendly and helpful! Will definitely return for Brunch!!! Thank you for wonderful service!!!
We had the Sunday Brunch. The food was fantastic and fresh, the salad was delicious and many varieties and the dessert bar was awesome with so many choices. The seafood was fresh and in abundance, although I feel there could have been more choices in terms of the hot food as there were two lamb dishes but no chicken or beef on offer. The seafood included the standard items such as oyster, prawns, mussels and crab. All was nice and met our expectations. The soup option was a seafood bisque and was disappointing. The hot food consisted of rice, salmon, lamb tagine, roasted root vegetables, gnocchi, lamb souvlaki meat and salt and pepper calamari. There was no chicken, beef or pork available on the buffet so if you don’t like lamb (like one of the people I was dining with) your hot food options are limited. The gnocchi was mushy and there was no pita bread to wrap the souvlaki meat in. The salt and pepper calamari batter was not crispy although the second batch was better when it was refilled. There was a good range of desserts and were quite enjoyable except the churros were not crunchy. There was a good variety of ice cream flavours offered. I would suggest that the tubs of ice creams be labelled with the flavours. The staff were nice and the food on the buffet was constantly being refilled.
Meal was excellent except for the Rocket salad that was extremely small and way way way over priced for what it was the STEAK was great
The food was delicious, the range was great. The kids loved having the face painter there, they also loved all the different deserts there was to try. We will definitely be back, with more people next time.
My second visit within a week. No surprise, food and service still excellent! Will definitely do my third visit soon!

Really disappointing service took ages to bring out the food, staff was unattentive , dessert was stale, scallops were over salty and main dishes had no garnish at all and food was cold. Will not dine here again.
Value for money was just not there. Quality of the seafood was disappointing. For a signature seafood buffet.
If one is lucky enough to be in Melbourne on the second Saturday of the month, one can enjoy the finest quality seafood and delicious hot foods, creative salads and the pièce de résistance, the dessert bar and if one can find a tiny bit of room, gourmet cheeses to send off the meal at the end! All of this is on offer at the Windows Restaurant at the Pullman and Mercure, Albert Park. The quality of the cold seafood must be commended. Every morsel is delicious and sweet! Amazing prawns, marinated mussels, oysters and other crustaceans, cold meats ante pasta, and really delicious salad. This month's "roast" was Wellington beef style, encrusted turkey with sauce. It was moist and really tasty without the usual dry, leather-feel of roast turkey and the sauce was perfect. Other hot meals were the most delicious meat and fish in various culinary styles eg. Italian - Spinach gnocchi or Asian style fish, French style Beef Bourguignon and more and more. Can one possibly trial every dish? I don't think so but it is wonderful to have choices and clearly marked options [eg. gluten-free, lactose-free etc.] Even the pickiest and fussiest eater would be able to find something to their liking. We have slightly different tastes and preferences so we try to choose different foods and swap a mouthful here and there. The display and variety of the dessert bar is a work of art in itself. It always amazes me as to how many people want to take snapshots and photographs of it. Bite-size options of different cakes, macarons, mousses and there is always a hot option. This time it was chocolate bread and butter pudding with custard. The hot chocolate dish [much more sensible than a fountain!] is too tempting and there is also an ice-cream bar, sprinkles, chocolates and if all that is too much, there is fresh and delicious fresh fruit salad. I always manage to squeeze in some blue vein cheese, while my partner is keen on the goat cheese [hopefully from Meredith and supporting local produce?] We prefer to try to stay the night to make it a true occasion without the worry of driving home and time constraints. All of this is a once a month highlight for us, watching the activity of Albert Park Lake fade into night and watching the traffic zoom past on the Formula 1 race track. The atmosphere and ambience are perfect! As if the food, location and general experience was not enough, one has to be impressed by the standard of the waiting staff. They are attentive without hovering or intruding and one will never find one's water glass empty. They are also extremely responsive to any special requests. Special mention to Reiko, F&B Manager who ensures that every need or want is answered. All for this for such an affordable price considering one can have 54+ courses [you know what I mean ;-) ] and tea/coffee to complete the meal. If one has an Accor loyalty card [Accor Plus in Oz], discounts also apply. Have I raved? Absolutely! I just love, love, love the Windows' monthly seafood buffet and rate it 13/10!
We attended the Sunday Funday Brunch with friends and loved every minute...from the impeccable service to the divine selection of food. The constant attention to filling our water and champagne glasses, to calling me by my first name every time i was addressed just shows the level of professionalism. Thankyou again for a great brunch!!!!
Visited for sunday brunch, great service and kids entertainment, seafood station and salads were also great and the deserts were superb However the main dishes with veggies and and meat were a disappointment and in need of some love and all a bit dry, eggs benedict station consisted of DIY + a poached egg reheated, if could up the quality, heat and freshness of the mains and could be onto a winner but at the moment unfortunately misses the mark vs other hotel brunches

This is the second time we have been to the Saturday Seafood buffet. Our experience this time is not as satisfying as the first. As the main theme is Seafood, you would expect there is plenty, but for some reason, they decide to bring things like fresh oysters at very small portion at a time, like just a plate full. This caused long lines and sometimes non to choose from. The scallops was nice but disappeared less than half way through. As for hot food, only one of the dishes was seafood. There was vegetarian, chicken, beef, roast vegs, just not seafood. I certain hope the restaurant will take these feedback on board because it’s a nice setting for my family.

the only downside to the event was that the organizers told everyone that there were cocktails out at the bar waiting for them. most people left full glasses of wine on the table to go to the bar only to find that the cocktails were not part of the event and had to be paid for. this was a trick to get people out of the dining room and there were some very unimpressed people when they got to the bar and found that the cocktails were not free. it would be different if they told people the cocktails were not free but as everything else was included in the night and they didnt stipulate it was really false advertising to everyone who attended. a great night, very disappointing end.

Exceptional quality, showcasing the best of Melbourne in terms of views across to Albert Park Lake, quality of food ingredients and presentation, lovely ambiance, good service. There is an incredible selection of cold & hot seafood, an array of salads to suit every taste, soup, selection of breads [hot & cold] cold meats, ante pasta, plenty of choice for vegetarians and non-fish eaters. The dessert bar is always amazing, being in tune with the events of the day, Lots of bite sized tempting bites, a warm chocolate bowl, connoisseur ice-cream & sorbet, warm dessert, donuts, sprinkles, gourmet cheeses and of course, tea or coffee. My personal favourite item is the "wellington beef" style, baked salmon in pastry with truffle lining and accompanying champagne white sauce. This salmon is sublime. It literally melts in one's mouth. Windows restaurant showcases this stellar seafood buffet on the 2nd Friday and Saturday of each month. We use this opportunity to celebrate all family special occasions, birthdays and anniversaries. Even better value if one is a member of the Accor loyalty program. Our absolute favourite food indulgence without a doubt. Can't recommend it highly enough!
