About Plymouth - Royal William Yard
A small collection of restaurants, serving freshly prepared food - with one simple aim; to serve great food delivered by friendly staff in a relaxed, homely environment. Whether you choose from the grill section, stone-baked pizza or our freshly prepared pastas, our passion for high quality dishes is the main focus across all of our restaurants.
Always good food, and a good deal for a three course christmas menu - sea bass a particular highlight
We could only book our Xmas party on a Tuesday night and unfortunately it was quite quiet in the restaurant. Not necessarily a criticism of the restaurant itself! I'm sure the atmosphere would be good on a busier night. The building is fantastic with high vaulted ceilings and old brickwork.
Very smooth and enjoyable day out for our Christmas lunch. Everything was perfect! Thanks
Very helpful staff providing excellent service. Food was extremely good and thankyou for really great evening.
Food and drink where great, shame the staff all looked pretty fed up and the service was pretty slow even though we where one of only 3 tables on our night. Its not normally like this and i will go back, but it was pretty embarrassing given id encouraged our group to go there saying how good it all was.
Great evening for a work Christmas meal. Service was very good, staff very helpful - only slight delay was on the drinks but everything we had requested was well accommodated for. Thank you
Great service and value!
A lovely experience. I think this was our third year of the Early Bird Christmas menu.
One of our party was served a properly burnt lasagna ie 1/4 of the top of it was black. How the chef or server thought this acceptable I don’t know. My dinner guest did not want to return it for fear of what they may do to it. Also it was a very quiet night, yet the service even just for drinks was very slow
Really enjoyed the festive menu on the early bird price. The pasta was lovely.
Fantastic food great atmosphere and quick service
Rare family meal out with 2 little kids. Waited ages to be served. Had to find member of staff to take our order. Asked three times for water. Eventually arrived after 45 minutes. Despite asking for starters then mains all together, kids good came with starters and then waited an hour for 2 adult pizzas kids finished even before main arrived so asked them to put in take away box. Took so long kids didn't get puddings. Real shame as rarely go out as a family to eat so disappointed. Especially at the bill!
Lovely food in a great setting staff very attentive.
Very nice meal
Service very good, food fantastic and we had an enjoyable evening.
Very enjoyable evening no problem when I added two more people , no fuss at all in fact. staff were friendly and very sweet to my granddaughter who is only 1&3/4 and waves to everyone . You made us feel very welcome thank you . Food was good and hot which makes a pleasant change from some restaurants ! Will definitely return .
Yet another excellent meal at Wildwood, with outstanding service. Only points are that the pasta dishes could be varied occasionally and wines sold by the glass could be of higher quality.
Waitress was lovely, accommodating and provided a great service. The food was average, and apologies for saying this. The calzone was empty of filling. The buttermilk chicken burger was so burnt, a shame as presentation was good. The carbonara was not tasty, too heavy on the cream and shout have been lighter
Really enjoyed our meal. I look forward to going again with different friends on Monday 26th November!! 😀
Good selection of food, with options for those with allergy’s.
First class service and food.
Just to let you know that our experience at your restaurant Saturday night was terrible! We had a table booked for 8pm, 10 of us, for someone’s birthday. We arrived at 7.50pm and was shown to our table. Finally at 8.15pm a waitress appeared to take our drinks order. This then took til 8.40 to arrive, 1 drink missing and 2 incorrect. Then our food order was taken, 1 hour after arriving! Starters came at 9.30, by this time I could have eaten anything that was put in front of me! Starters over, had to wait another 10 mins after finishing to see our waitress! Mains came at 10.15pm, past caring at this point, too tired to actually enjoy it! By this time we all had to rush to finish as our car park tickets ran out at 10.40! We didn’t have time for desserts or to present a cake to the birthday person! Very disappointed at the service all round, never got asked if we wanted more drinks either! Last nights experience will make me think twice about coming again, there’s plenty of other establishments at the royal William yard with far better service! Thoroughly disappointed 😟 Cathryn Horsfield [email protected] Sent from my iPhone
We really enjoyed our evening and the food was lovely
Meal was cold. I had steak ask for medium was well done and cold was in a party of 12 and did not want to wait when everyone else was eating. 1 of the meal was that bad they took it off our bill. On a positive note the actual restaurant was lovely. It was such a shame i have Eaton at the one in town it was so much better.
