Wildwood is a small collection of restaurants that serves freshly prepared food.

Whether you choose from the grill section, stone-baked pizza or our freshly prepared pastas, our passion for high quality dishes is the main focus across all of our restaurants
Lovely Valentine’s meal great service great food and great value for money definitely returning! 😊 Thank you
We had a lovely dinner, my only comment for improvement would be that we weren’t offered the valentines set menu; which had been advertised.
Great food and great quick service.
Good food, but service was quite slow, even when it wasn’t busy. They also didn’t reserve a table even though the booking was made nearly a month before. Other than that the food was good and it was good value for money and the atmosphere was nice.
I would like to thank Cedric and his team for making my son's birthday party so special. Cedric went above and beyond his duties and opened up the restaurant early for us so we could set everything up. He also took care of us and made sure everything ran smoothly for us on the day. The food was excellent (as always) and all the kids had lots of fun! All the parents were impressed too and are now talking about holding their kids parties here in the future. It was excellent value for money and we will be back very soon. Thank you Cedric and the Wildwood team.
Excellent food and great ambience.
Booked online. Simple. Arrived on a Monday night 19:15. Very quiet, needn’t have booked. But this also meant great service and food arrived really quickly. ( good as we were going to the cinema after). Have eaten here several times. Nice menu and good for vegans. Highly recommended.
Lovely service and a lovely atmosphere, it was a pleasure eating there.
First time coming here and food and service was amazing!! Will definitely be back again!
Overall we had a lovely visit and I love the decor and finishing touches, a lovely place to have a meal. A couple of points, we ordered a bottle of red wine and rather than ask if we would like to taste it and check it was ok the bottle was plonked unopened on the table! The cauliflower cheese (which we had previously ordered in the bilericay branch and loved) was terrible, the cauliflower was barely cooked and the minute amount of cheese sauce and I mean it was so sparse you could see all of the florets! Was barely even browned so a very bland, beige and disappointing side order. My seafood risotto however was lovely, I would also suggest you provide some sort of plate to put the mussels shells on. All in all a very lovely lunch (I wouldn’t let a substandard cauliflower cheese ruin it!)
What happened to the Set menu? Started, main and a. Drink for about £11...? As a parent with two young teenagers this was perfect. Unsure we will be back as this was a crowd pleaser for us. Eating out is so expensive and paying for four adult meals, starters and drinks is so expensive. Bring back the set menu plz??!!
It was our daughters birthday and the gentleman who was there, serving alone due to some staff being off ill, was very tentative and efficient. He didn't leave us waiting long, he was very polite and had put the balloons we'd brought in earlier at the table we requested. The food was cooked to perfection and our daughter thoroughly enjoyed her celebration. We'll definitely be returning.
We always enjoy our food at the Wildwood restaurant in Letchworth. We normally visit on a Sunday lunch time as I am not keen on Sunday roast! I am gluten intolerant so enjoy the fact I have a choice at Wildwood. It is never too busy so we are served promptly. All staff we have encountered have been friendly, helpful and efficient. We never feel rushed. The menu is not huge but quite varied. I had,for the first time, the GF pizza which was very tasty. My husband had calzone which he really enjoyed, our son had ribs. So we would recommend a visit..
Nice ambience, good food and excellent service, would certainly come again.
Both food and drink were very nice. But unfortunately the service wasn’t great on this visit. Firstly we waited around 20 minutes after being seated before anyone came over, then they went to take our food order without any drinks order first. Drinks and olives came promptly but unfortunately one drink was missing, I would have thought taking over three drinks to a table of four might be a clue that something was missing. Also we had asked for tap water which didn’t arrive. Eventually managed to catch a member of staffs eye to get the missing drink. Approximately 50 minutes later our food came, the waiter didn’t know which meal was which and another waiter bought over food which wasn’t ours. The waitress who came to see if we wanted desserts couldn’t have been more unfriendly and when we said we didn’t want anything she told us she would go and get the bill. We then felt very rushed to pay the bill as she immediately came back with the bill and card machine almost instantly. Ultimately it didn’t matter as we were with friends we hadn’t seen in a while and had lots to catch up on so we had a lovely time but all of us picked up on the bad service which might impact our decision to go here again. I would also like to add that the drinks seemed slightly overpriced for the location.
It was our first visit to the restaurant, we'd been meaning to go since it opened but hadn't got around to it. Wished we'd gone sooner, the food was amazing, everything was cooked to perfection. We were sat in a lovely corner seat with loads of space around us near the window, which was lovely as it was the local Christmas light switch on, so it was very pretty. Service was good, we had a couple of people as there was a Christmas party in there at the time, we even had the chef himself bring one of our food plates out; he was very nice.
I hadnt considered visiting wildwood before (as it is normally empty) in comparison to the busy prezzo over the street. Disappointing food but this was overshadowed by the poor service. Team are nice enough however it was clear that there is no employee training. There was a new waitress on the floor whom I felt sorry for as she was left to her own devices. I wouldn't consider returning
Great, friendly, professional service. Food was excellent!
Some of our meal was very nice, some was awful. Had to ask for items listed as part of the dish as they didn’t come. Staff came across a bit unfriendly and some of their comments made me feel a awkward. As we went on a mon we had 50% off food which was good as would gave been very disappointed if I’d paid full price. It was not worth that
Food was rubbish and people’s food was forgotten despite it being on the preorder. Risotto was incredibly oily. Cheesecake tasted like the fridge. We were set up on 2 separate tables one behind the other which meant people had to be split up. We could have been put along the wall and been able to all sit together. I had to help give out some of the mains as the waiting staff didn’t think to call people’s names. Just wasn’t a great experience and none of us (20 of us) will be coming back
Unfortunately it was not the best experience. I have been to the Canterbury Wildwood several times and enjoyed it so tried Letchworth. There were no sweet potato fries, a drink was forgotten and had to be asked for again but worst of all a meal was forgotten so one of our party had to sit and watch everyone else eat while his burger was cooked. This was despite the waitress reading the order back correctly so not sure how it was forgetten. On top of this the toilets are upstairs so even when that part of the restaurant is not being used the guests still need to go up there. Despite this a chef sat and smoked outside the door on the stairs and both the corridor and upstairs smelt of cigarettes.
Wrong orders, burnt food, restaurant was not busy but that was excuse for all the mistakes. Needs a staff training programme.
Very quiet place, but food was lovely! Polite staff
Good food and service.
