About Wildwood Stratford upon Avon
A small collection of restaurants, serving freshly prepared food - with one simple aim; to serve great food delivered by friendly staff in a relaxed, homely environment. Whether you choose from the grill section, stone-baked pizza or our freshly prepared pastas, our passion for high quality dishes is the main focus across all of our restaurants.
Our group of 4 people had a lovely night at Wildwood Stratford. There was a genuine mistake with one of the main course orders, and the staff dealt withit in an extremely professional way to our total satisfaction. Well done to the Wildwood staff.
Good value, good service
Great good and very pleasant staff
Had a lovely meal at a good price.
I made a reservation on the internet for 3 people! My friend turned up early and was told there was no reservations and the restaurant was full! I got there 5 minutes later and walked straight in and just said I had an internet reservation - she didn’t even ask a name, just took us the table. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara- it was tasteless and very dry..... like it had been microwaved and then sat under a warm lamp. I did complain when I was asked by the staff how my dinner was and they knocked it off the bill. Sadly the side salad was dry and the lettuce was whithering as well..... also the presentation was not great. I had high hopes as I have heard the pizzas are great. However the rest of the menu is disappointing - I would not recommend.
Great food, great atmosphere .. would defintely return
A fork was brought to my table with a dead fly between the prongs ,a lot of empty tables were not being cleared
Service was outstanding & made the day & celebration fantastic
Lovely Brie starter and freshly made pizza. Drinks very pricey in comparison. Friendly service but a little stretched on the night we visited.
I’m amazed you asked for my feedback as we walked out FIFTEEN MINUTES after being seated. We booked a table in advance, yet were seated at an inferior table, even though the couple infront of us when we arrived said they had not booked yet were then ushered to the best seat in the house. They were then provided with drinks and had their food order taken within 5 minutes, whilst we were left to sit at a stuffy horrible table and were repeatedly ignored! We live in Stratford and have eaten at this restaurant many times, so big mistake! Never coming here again and will be telling everyone we know and posting on social media to warn others to avoid. We went next door to The Vintner and received excellent food and service with no booking. You are a disgrace! Trip Advisor and other social media reviews to follow... You messed with the wrong people!
Service was slow, food not wonderful. It’s gone downhill
Fantastic service from Celia...nothing was too much trouble. Menu choice and food good...would highly recommend....
Excellent quality Of food and large size portions. Service very good
Tkankyou to the staff who were on shift on Saturday afternoon. They were attentive and friendly and super helpful in regards to looking after my son who has allergies! It all made for a great experience.
We visited WildWood in Stratford upon Avon on Sunday 29th July whilst enjoying a weekend away. We ordered off the 2 course fixed prie menu. The starters were of a good size and were enjoyable. For our mains both my husband and I had the spaghetti bolognaise. Unfortunately this was not an enjoyable meal at all. There was hardly any mince or tomotoes in the sauce if you can call it a sauce. The sauce actually tasted like a cheap gravy and like water. We would not order that main meal again if we did ever choose to visit a Wildwood restaurant again. The staff were very nice in the restaurant and drinks were reasonably priced. We didn't want to complain in such a small setting so we paid our bill and left to go somewhere else for another meal.
The food was great and is value or money. The service started off very well and then when given the dessert menus no-one asked us if we wished to order any desserts so we left without ordering any. This is a missed opportunity to up sell and a disappointing end to a previously lovely experience.
Service from the staff was awful , they would make eye contact but not ask if we wanted a drink for ages and never asked if we wanted to order food we had to ask them after 20 minutes /half an hour . It’s a shame this restaurant used to be my favourite place to go , not anymore .... definitely gone down hill .
Service was good , friendly and efficient. Pizzas were good quality and generous size . Lighting was a bit too bright all the tables looked like they were in the spotlight! Would come back again and recommend .
Good food and friendly staff.
Terrible evening too busy and too many bookings at the same time. Really slow service. Only part of the restaurant - where all families seemed to be put - wasn’t air conditioned and so it was quite unbearably hot - tip: don’t put kids in there! Pasta mains were bland & tasteless. Had to ask for salt and pepper twice as none on table, sent back piri-Piri chicken as totally tasteless. It came back with 100s if chillis on it - clearly chef thought he was having fun, so had to speak to the manager but 1 of group went without food as a result. Manager came and sat at table and advised new chef and that he promises he ‘wasn’t taking the piss’ how unprofessional to use language like that with customers!! Did knock main price and bottle of wine from cost of meal but to be honest ruined our night and won’t be going back.
Partners steak was cold and over cooked but my meal was delicious. Great service and lovely setting
Small portions, greasy and sliw service.
Very poor salads Cob - all lettuce, no corn, tiny amount of small chopped avocado - very poor Superfood salad - plonked grains, almost out of a sachet swimming in a pile of liquid, plain tomatoes not roasted, tasteless salmon with the layer of grey stuff not removed - very poor Plates went back with little eaten and no-ones asked if we had enjoyed our food and just dodged the situation Will never visit again!!!
On using a voucher of buy a main course get one for £1 if you are a table of four you should get the voucher for each pair. It doesn’t say only valid once!!
Excellent food friendly staff. We will be back
