About Wildwood Hereford
A small collection of restaurants, serving freshly prepared food - with one simple aim; to serve great food delivered by friendly staff in a relaxed, homely environment. Whether you choose from the grill section, stone-baked pizza or our freshly prepared pastas, our passion for high quality dishes is the main focus across all of our restaurants.
Food wasn’t very nice. Had 2 starters the king prawns just tasted like pure lemon juice and the meatballs tasted like they were from frozen. Pizza was nice as I’m guessing was fresh. I think the food at wildwood definitely needs improvement
The manager introduced the new menu and pointed out foods we might try, he was attentive to our needs, service and presentation was excellent. Following a bad experience at another Wildwood Restaurant, our faith has ben restored.
Starters were a little long but mains took ages to come out! 2 of our party were waiting 15/20 minutes after the rest of our meals came out, was told they would be a few minutes and even when we asked about them they still took a further 10 minutes. Food and drink itself was really nice just service times let it down.
As usual service was fantastic, lovely food! Will definitely be visiting again soon.
Very quiet in restaurant - no fault of restaurant but for a Saturday night quiet and no atmosphere.
No complaints whatsoever. Was impressed that when we arrived the vegan and gluten free menus were already allocated to our table (I had mentioned dietary requirements in the booking, but didn’t necessarily expect the menus to be there ready. Nice touch!). The service was friendly and the food was tasty!
Fantastic customer service from the start to the end of our evening, great staff all evening that was matched by the food Well done 👏👏🍻
Very warm welcome nothing to much trouble excellent value will be back
Overall very disappointed. The Wild Boar burger had hardly been taken out of the packet and warmed before it was put in to the bun so it was luke warm and dry with a slice of cheese on top. Additionally the chips were either over cooked or had been left in the warmer for too long ending up dry and rock hard, however they were the only vaguely edible thing on the plate. I would have complained at the time, however it was evident that this was probably the expected standard of the food there, a far cry from decent on premises pub food from places like The Crown at Woolhope http://www.crowninnwoolhope.co.uk/. It was also disappointing that the staff were too dozy to notice that only a mouthful had been eaten from the burger or even when we left and said goodbye.
set Menu wasn’t made apparent, had to ask for it
Fabulous restaurant I am a regular visitor.
Excellent value for money - really superb meal. Will be back Thank you
We were very well looked after on our date night meal
Lovely meal and staff were very accommodating
Had a great lunch with superb service - couldn’t ask for better
Our only complaint was that it was a little chilly in the restaurant- nearly had to put coat back on but luckily I was wearing a jumper. Went upstairs to use the washroom and it was lovely and warm up there. Couldn’t fault the service and the value for money on the set price two course meal which was ideal pre cinema, thank you.
The food was sub par, it came out cold. The atmosphere was good and is a very nice place visually. The staff were as helpful as they could be although very slow service. Will not be going back again. Would have not paid if it was my choice. Maybe it was just an off day.
Lovely food, didn't have to wait long either staff lovely and friendly well recommended
We had a lovely meal and the staff were working very hard, unfortunately we had a long wait for our meal, it was beyond the service staff control and we did not make a fuss as we were chattting with friends. Clearly there was an issue in the kitchen. In future I would suggest that if there is likely to be a long wait for main course that the service staff let you know at the point of order and then customers can make a choice to stay or go. We would have stayed anyway.
Staff very pleasant and attentive, did ask for mayo but didn't get it. Desert of lemon tart could do with ice cream or cream on side very expensive slice on its own.
The food was good, the atmosphere was good unti it started to empty out. The issue was the time we got our food. We had to wait along time to get our starters well over an hour and then we didn’t get our main course for around an hour then after that we waited a really long time for our pudding I won’t be booking again any time soon. It’s funny as I mentioned to a friend about going there the following day without saying anything about it he said oh that place is awful. I was pretty disappointed as I was entertaining staff and clients so it was a bit embarrassing for myself.
We were very disappointed with our meal last night. One had his meal served so late that everyone was finishing theirs, it wasn't even busy. Another had a cold, grissly steak that was inedible. Drinks were very expensive.
Food was cold, had no burgers ask for plain pepperoni pizza it came out with chilli. Also asked for garlic bread and was given a different type with onion on top. Complained to staff who advised discount but didn't even give discount when asked for bill. 1st experience and last in wildwood. Very disappointed.
We booked at 8pm and received our main meal at 9:10 after a lot of asking! The service was appalling and the waitress was rude and unaccommodating. The majority of our party had never been before to Wildwood and unfortunately wont be returning. We had to wait for a very long time for drinks as well so it was the service that was poor as the food (when it eventually arrived) was good.
