About Wildwood Didcot
A small collection of restaurants, serving freshly prepared food - with one simple aim; to serve great food delivered by friendly staff in a relaxed, homely environment. Whether you choose from the grill section, stone-baked pizza or our freshly prepared pastas, our passion for high quality dishes is the main focus across all of our restaurants.
The manager is just fantastic. Very friendly, engaging and super helpful. Highly recommend this establishment
Great welcome from staff and marvellous attention from the manager particularly in relation to son’s nut allergy. Confident in our choices because of this. Front of house staff were a real asset and the chefs too did a great job in supplying the food. No hassle when using offer of buy 1 meal, get 2nd for a £1 - fantastic
Our waiter gave us THE BEST SERVICE! He was attentive, kind and extremely helpful throughout our time there. On the other extreme the food delivery time was absolutely unacceptable!!!!! It took 50 minutes from order to table. This was lunch time in a restaurant with only 6 occupied tables. We watched people who had come in 20 minutes after us, ordered after us be served their lunch before us. We had 2 children with us who were incredibly hungry watch as other diners ate and finished before ours arrived. Shocking! Please speak with the chefs responsible.
Service was a little slow at beginning but very polite and friendly and accommodating- thank you
I believe our waiter was the manager (he had a great Caribbean accent). What a man! Throughout the meal he made us laugh and feel completely comfortable, no request was an issue for him. He didn't pester or interrupt us dining, and is truly a credit to your restaurant! Would go back again if he were to serve me, he seems like a very lovely man who deserves a pay rise! My only downside is that the food is quite overpriced for the portion sizes you receive.
Food lovely with a good gluten free menu
Very good, rapid service-was nearly empty-
Lovely staff and great menu
Food and atmosphere good and a nice place. Staff nice and friendly. However, pre-ordered food to save time as went with colleagues in lunch hour but still had to wait quite a while for this to be prepared.
Always have a lovely meal nice place to catch up with a friend in the week.
The only fault was that I was squeezed on to the end of a table for 6 (having booked a table for 7 a week before). Nearly every time staff walked past the chair would be knocked. I appreciate it was a very busy lunchtime (Mother's Day) but it all seemed a bit 'last minute'.
If there was an option to give 0 stars I would have. We had the most awful experience in Mother’s Day with over an hour and a half wait for food. Every meal was either cold, burnt or of very poor quality. Children’s meals were last to arrive and were also terrible. We explained to the manager who didn’t seem surprised and left without any explanation as to why the service and quality was so terrible. We will not be going back.
Lovely and inviting, beautiful food and well priced
Our favourite place in Didcot to eat out at.
Lovely, friendly staff. Good choice of vegan options. Very accommodating to babies!
Food did not match the description making it very over priced. Eg my starter that had mozzarella in, had the tiniest little blob on top. For my main I had a salad that was literally just under cooked butternut squash and some leaves. Shame, because I was really excited when looking at the menu.
Lovely meal, great staff. Would highly recommend.
Great service and good food
Had a great evening and food was lovely
We love it here and so does our little boy!
I dobt like writing negative feedback. But we had a cold baked brie for starters. We then had the wrong fries delivered for the main.
It was early so the atmosphere in the venue hadn't built yet.
A 12th Birthday party with a small group of children- the food was excellent and tailored well to the kids (one with a food allergy) and a special visit from the kitchen staff, too! many thanks
Went for the steak & fries with extra veg - including tip £26. A cheap cut of gristly sirloin and a truly miserable portion of veg. massively overpriced. Despite the restaurant being almost empty, we were sat next to the manager who was working on a laptop on a table covered in paperwork. Who wants to eat in a office/work environment? Waitress was delightful.
always a nice place to go and eat. Food is always great and staff are always very friendly.
