About Wildwood Brentwood
A small collection of restaurants, serving freshly prepared food - with one simple aim; to serve great food delivered by friendly staff in a relaxed, homely environment. Whether you choose from the grill section, stone-baked pizza or our freshly prepared pastas, our passion for high quality dishes is the main focus across all of our restaurants.
For me, I found the garlic prawn starter a bit tart & sweet & didn’t really enjoy it. I decided to try something different for a main & had peri peri chicken pasta which was ok but the cream was a bit much for me after a while. My friend on the other hand had the Taleggio & mushroom crostini followed but the goats cheese calzone & thought it was delicious.
Fantastic service, very generous meal for the price, we all had a lovely time.
The meal was fantastic! My burger was a little bit charred but it tasted great so I was very happy! The staff couldn’t do enough for me & my guest! Will definitely be returning & recommending Wildwoods to our friends & family. Thank you all so much! 😊
Dreadful, starter looked reasonable and only positive aspect to the meal, 8 servings for 9 people a curious decision? Main course served in a cold bowl was clearly done to imply the meal was bigger than it actually was! Two tiny uncooked Brussels sprouts cut in half and three tiny carrots again raw did nothing to enhance the three cold roast potatoes and turkey serving. Sadly the waitress thought it appropriate to bring coffee prior to the desert which also confused members of the group, the same waitress engaged in a startled look when she knocked a coffee all over the table, fortunately we as a group were swifter in dealing with it. The ambience was non existent and a slight sound of Christmas music drifting from the area of the bar did nothing to enhance the experience. Staff on this occasion comprised two young girls who appeared to have little idea how to keep your customers involved, the manager sat at the back constantly engrossed in his laptop clearly and obviously had no interest in the operation of the restaurant (I nearly choke referring to it as such) or in supplying a pleasurable dinning experience. I could never recommend this establishment nor can I encompass in my mind ever visiting it again. Furthermore this was the opinion of the entire group. In conclusion if this is not a franchise and is directly owned you need to “get a grip” or you won’t survive in the marketplace.
Thank you for making the Football Team Christmas lunch so special . Everyone liked the food and the place. Special thanks to the manager Alban and Nikki for the service they provided.
Lovely atmosphere and really good service
Poor service. No drink order for 25 mins. Manager/host was grumpy. Food was good but that’s about it.
Not able to deal with a busy early evening despite booking in advance
Food was OK at best. The pizza base had not been fully cooked. Breadsticks as a starter for children's menu is, quite frankly, ridiculous. The service was really poor. Had to ask for a menu. Long wait for food. Had to ask for someone to take the order for desert. The attitude of the staff was poor - need to be taught how to deal with customers. No one asked if the food/everything was OK - they probably knew the answer and didn't really care. Will not return anytime soon.
The staff were super friendly and went over and above to accommodate our requests eg: dietary requirements, colouring books for children etc. The food is classic and tasty, and the portions are generous providing great value for money. An excellent option for a family gathering.
Had a birthday meal here, comfortable seating, not too loud, i like the restaurant's aesthetic, highly recommend.
Food was lovely. Sharing platter for starter was stingy with the mozzarella and needed a dip for the bread but was otherwise lovely.
Service was very slow. Restaurant wasn’t busy, lots of staff standing about chatting at the bar area not doing a whole lot.
The food was very good but we were a long time waiting for it !
Very nice food. Did the set menu. Great value for money.
We have used Wildwood restaurant in Braintree on various times and really enjoyed ourselves. This one is outdated and tired looking, but the food was still lovely. We wasn't happy as we was trying to have a conversation with old friends and someone had decided to put the music up loud as we was the only table left.
Excellent service of good quality food. Manager made us very welcome. Food prices I reckon are about 10-15% too high and this will Ffect frequency of dining at Wildwood.
Great staff and great food but service was a little slower than ideal - despite the efforts of the staff
Ordered a super food salad. Quantity of food was pathetic. Very low value for money
The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive.
Food wasn’t great - prefer the choices on the old menu! Only 2 staff working in a packed restaurant, had to wait 30 mins for the bill when asked for it 3 times. Won’t be going back.
The reason I picked Wildwood is the fantastic Cob salad,,as it was my wife’s birthday and that is her favourite salad, unfortunately it wasn’t up to scratch, it was very poor, missing the nachos and way to much sauce, my sons chicken burger had cold bacon it, it won’t put me off going back but, I don’t think I would be willing to do a big group again, and if asked by any friends I would recommend they do the same as the bill was £240 not a cheap meal out to not feel satisfied with what I got for my money
Great service. Lovely food. Friendly helpful staff
Come here often, great food! Disappointed to see the menu change though - much more limited. Was looking forward to my usual green beans as a side :(
