WILDE’s Executive Chef Sandeep Singh has created a menu which boasts a generous seafood selection. Choices include Whole Dover sole meunière, Lobster served with tomato jam and grilled fruits from Wrights of Marino in Dublin and a delectable seafood risotto bouillabaisse. For shellfish lovers, WILDE offers freshly-shucked Carlingford Lough oysters served three ways – mignonette, Asian-style, or with cucumber & caviar; perfectly paired with a glass of champagne from the generous drinks menu. The restaurant prides itself on its beef cuts – centre cut rump steak, hangar steak, rib eye, fillet steak, and porter house steak. Sourced by County Longford-based butcher, John Stone, the Irish beef at WILDE is grass-fed, aged for 28 days and marinated with house spice rub. Visitors to Dublin and locals looking for a great lunch spot will be thrilled to discover the Express Menu, with three-courses available for €25 until 5pm Monday to Thursday.
Everything was perfection, other than when we asked for wine/cocktails, the server informed the group that he would indeed bring us cocktails as requested, but he would only bring them “all together” ( whatever that meant) and informed me that the bill would be “all together” whatever THAT meant. I informed him that we REALLY wanted to pay for alcohol individually, because not all participants drink alcohol. He totally refused to separate the checks, as a consequence we decided to order ice tea instead of the gin, wine, old fashions, and martinis we all heads so desperately wanted and have been talking about for an hour before arrival. I am not a restaurant manager, but for the life of me, that was a pretty stupid thing to do. After a big deal was made of all this, to make matters worse, a female manager/server came up to me and said the exact opposite of what the other one had JUST been telling me - no it seems, they would of course split the bills. At that point I was just irritated, and I suggest you don’t put anyone else through that scene. I loved the meal, truly wonderful, but I will not return with new guests and expose them to this kind of ridiculous stupidity. It actually reflected poorly and me and my company, not just on the waiter who stubbornly refused to give my guests separate checks for the alcohol they were desperately trying to order, probably at high prices I might add. At the end of the meal the bill would probably be doubled. That makes no sense from a business standpoint, but like I said, I am not a restaurant manager.
Hervoragende Atmoshäre, sehr feines Essen und Super Service.
Most pleasant dining , ambience, Definitely recommended
Oysters to start were as usual perfectly presented and delicious - my main was the catch of the day - Sole, again presented like a piece of art and tasted as good as it looked. Girls both had Chicken and both very much enjoyed - Our Welcome was warm and friendly, Service was top notch, extremely professional and courteous, overall a very pleasant experience - dinner for 3 incl cocktails & 2 bottles of organic bordeaux came in around €300, not cheap but certainly worth every cent!
Very nice evening and lovely table locstion following request
Excellent Service & Food - delighted with every aspect of our evening
A very good dining experience. Excellent food and exceptional service.
Wine list is too expensive across the board. You need a few more cost effective options.
My family and I went to The Wilde restaurant to celebrate my graduation. From the moment we walked in, we were treated so well. There was a slight mix up with our menu but this was fixed within minutes. The food and service were both spectacular!! They really made our night special. I can’t recommend it enough. Thank you to all the staff.
We were absolutely delighted with our experience at your restaurant! Not only is every detail beautiful, but the food was amazing, and our waiter the best! Juan Carlos was so friendly and attentive, we couldn’t be more pleased.
From the initial welcome , via an amazing martini ( so fine I had two!) to three courses of fine delicately prepared delights and ending with excellent coffee and digestif, the staff are attentive, charming, not overfamiliar and informed. Wilde is a credit to The Westbury and a tribute to the great Oscar. Ireland has found a new treasure. I look forward to further acquaintance.
Very disappointed when I got a call at 8:23pm telling me my 8:30pm booking would be 20 mins late. As they were running behind. I said I was in the side car bar and the girl said great shel come get me in 20 mins. By 9pm nobody had arrived so we walked over ourselves and then they said oh yes your table is just ready. We still stood there for another 5 mins waiting to be brought to the table! Also when we left we had to ask for our jackets. The wait staff should automatically say did you have a jacket instead we had to go and ask someone when we were walking out. The food is amazing but your service let’s the experience down. Your booking time should never be pushed out, it is up to the staff to ensure a smooth running and giving tables a heads up what time they need to leave a table for the next booking. I found it very unprofessional.
We picked this for our place to dine our second night in Dublin. It was the perfect culinary end to our hectic day of sightseeing. All the food was excellent but especially a vegan dessert with an avocado cake and goji berry sorbet.
Dublin is expensive and Wilde is comparatively good value for its location.
We had a small wedding lunch in Wilde and it was amazing. We had our own little snug area down the back which gave us some privacy but still able to soak in the restaurant atmosphere. The food and wine were excellent. The staff were AMAZING - they were so professional, top of their game and they were sound too. Really superb place and would highly recommend it.
Great quality food and very pleasant staff
We attended Wilde as a celebration of my son's graduation. The staff were amazing. They were so attentive and knowledgeable. They had patience with my elderly mum who didn't want 'fancy stuff' and gave her a meal she loved. On the booking I made a note that it was my son's graduation and they presented him with a delicious dessert with 'congratulations' written on the plate. We had a lovely table that suited us perfectly. The food was delicious. I couldn't praise Wilde, the food and the service more. Thank you for helping us have a memorable meal.
Food and service was lovely. Unfortunate that we couldn't get the table we had requested a month prior but the dinner was still a lovely success.
Wonderful restaurant, fantastic food and service highly recommended
Our waiter Juan Carlos was extremely friendly and provided great service. He is a pleasure to your restaurant.
We chose Wilde for my daughters graduation celebration. We were so well looked after from the moment we arrived. Each and ever member of your team are exemplary. The food was delicious and beautifully presented and the surprise of the celebratory dessert will be talked about for some time to come.
Fantastic evening. Everything was superb.
The steak and beef main courses were absolutely excellent. Quality food is the centrepiece of any dining experience and Wilde’s restaurant gets top marks!
