Enjoyed our time, staff was friendly and easy to communicate with about booking. Thank you, I highly recommend Whiby's Restaurant & Bar for Buffet food. Reasonably price also.
Always a pleasure dining at Whiby's... friendly and helpful staff and the food is just yummy!
Whitby's is a great Buffet restaurant, so consistent with super friendly and helpful staff. We always go to Whitby's when in Wellington (we're from Christchurch). For a special treat try the High Tea... just sit back and relax and enjoy the yummy food!
Always enjoy dining at Whitby's, it's our family go-to restaurant for special occasions, as it is more expensive than others
Nice place for a family dinner
We wish to extend a sincere and grateful thank you for the level of service provided overall. The pre-dinner service provided in helping us to co-ordinate and plan the celebration was impressive and a big thank you to Rosa who was consistently obliging with information and updates as a barrel-load of questions were asked of her. The meal was outstanding. Many buffet dinners previously frequented at other properties, inevitably diminish in terms of presentation and freshness as the night progresses. However, in this instance Whitby's buffet was outstanding and "beautiful" - as described by many of our party. Exceptional mention is saved for the Piano Bar staff - in particular, Hasti (bar manager - my apologies for the incorrect spelling). Your obliging and accommodating service was noted by all as was the professional and friendly conversation many shared with you all. Some even noted the finger tapping as some of our crowd performed a Maori waiata to the birthday girl. Additonally, your initiative was stand-out and we were most grateful you allowed us to arrange seating and monopolize a corner of the bar for our birthday toasts and cake. Thank you Whitby team. We'lle be sure to share your stand-out service and meal and hope we get opportunity to visit again
Great food and experience.
This was great place to take a big family for a 70th - great for kids and adults alike.....heaps of variety - YUMMY value for money for sure. Small hiccup with booking time despite having confirmed via email and phone but they were able to accomodate us none the less. Definitely will be returning !! thanks again WHITBYS xox
Really enjoyed the quality and diversity of the food and was pleasantly surprised to see so many GF options. A very enjoyable evening. Some alternative Kombucha options would have also been good.
Very disappointed! Was hoping there would be more gluten free being a Saturday, but nope! Won't be back and won't recommend it to anyone
Average spread, can be tried once
Great food. Good for kids. Friendly staff.
Not worth the price you pay.
A great place for a family gathering. Kind attentive staff and nice atmosphere
Lovely helpful staff
We’ve been to Whitby’s for High Tea a few times, and have always been impressed by the tea, the food, and most of all - the service. This time we were served by Lance, who had such a passion for tea, that he added even more to the experience. We will definitely be back!
Thankyou to Imi and the staff for all their help to celebrate our mothers birthday celebration
We booked a group of 23 and they all enjoyed their dinner. We have a long two days of full on meetings and going to Whitbys was nice a relaxed so thank you. We will definitely be dinning here again
Would like to see hot chips added to buffet self service. Otherwise excellent meal.
We have eaten at the several times before, but the service was not very good this time. Despite the restaurant not being nearly as busy as it has been our last few visits. We waited a very long time for someone to take our drinks order and in the end had to flag down a server. We thought maybe you had changed the policy and we had to go to the bar and order ourselves. Found that not to be the case either as the bar did not always have someone behind it - was not just the same atmosphere or service that we have had previously.
We were quite disappointed, especially on the gluten free range. There weren't many choices even for the non gf person and only one meat choice that was gf. And we have to come back as we bought more vouchers. If we had known it was going to be so limited, we wouldn't have bought all the vouchers we did. Overall, very disappointing
Bit disappointed this time round as the beans were overcooked and a bit mushy! Fish also overcooked! And no cheesecake! Oh and someone forgot to bring the green tea I ordered. Shame as i invited my sister in law from Auckland and other family members on this occasion.
The place is very dirty despite not being too busy. The carpets are littered with food, the couch has got bowls and plates, and the food area is smeared with sauces and soup.
