In spite of all the competition in Sandbach the Weatsheaf maintains its reputation as the number one restaurant for atmosphere, food and excellent service.
Wonderful evening with my fiancee celebrating one year until our wedding.
The staff were excellent, and so was the food.
We had a lovely lunch. I ate from the special lunchtime menu and my friend chose from the wider menu - both meals were really nice. We are returning diners and love the atmosphere; the service has been consistently good.
Lunchtime visit, table for two. Warm welcome. Staff attentive and very polite. Food good quality. Decor and cleanliness very good. Only minor negative points were food could of arrived a little sooner as it wasn't busy for Monday lunch and as such the atmosphere was quiet, but could be expected. Will visit again and would recommend.
We had the private dining room upstairs for my husbands 70th birthday the staff were fantastic nothing was to much trouble the food was gorgeous. Chris the manager was fantastic from start to finish can't recommend enough.
Food was exceptional, service was a little slow but I would definitely put up with that for the standard of food that was served
Anniversary meal but despite restaurant being mostly empty, we were crammed into an area of tables for two, the rest of place was largely empty. Bread with soup very dry and inedible, main course of sea bream very disappointing. My wife's pie was ok. Surprised & disappointed given the reviews. Good singer though.
very enjoyable lunch date
Lovey food, decor, service was attentive! Good place to eat and socialise!
Great food a service- will be returning
Lovely place ,good food and outstanding service
I thought that the puddings were rather expensive but you do get a lot of pudding sometimes for your money.
Great food in a relaxed atmosphere!
This was the 4th time I'd visited The Wheatsheaf and after really enjoying the previous 3 was looking forward to it and also introducing my Son to the new look Restaurant. Previously my partner and I have had the lunchtime bap meal but this time we had the fish and chips (all 3 of us). OK is the best I can say, the chips not as nice as we've had previously, the fish had a lot of 'empty' batter on it and not much taste, the peas looked as if they'd been standing a while. The service, OK is the best I can say for that also. Overall, disappointing after our previous experience. The trouble with intermittent good food and service is you really only remember your last experience. Sue
Had a lovely meal, service was spot on. Enjoyed the whole experience would highly recommend the restaurant.
We had a really enjoyable meal. Nice surroundings and attentive staff.
Enjoyable meal with friends with commendable service.
Good food and service
We had a lovely lunch to celebrate my mum's birthday. Food and service both excellent. Thank you!

It was a Monday so pretty quiet, but the overall experience was very good and we will return
