We had a lovely nights stay in the fabulous suite which was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff were also lovely and very welcoming. Would definitely go back. The only criticism was my white wine each time I ordered a glass wasn’t cold at all and had to have ice in it each time.
We Felt the Menu was a little limited with its Choices other than steaks.
Excellent Birthday meal. We had the sharing T-bone which was marvelous
A great setting to enjoy delicious, food quality food with friends. The staff were very attentive.
The car park is very small, but having parked eventually, we were warmly welcomed, as usual, and taken to our table. The service is very good and the staff are very helpful, efficient and smiley.
On ordering our desert we chose a cheese board and explained that I could not eat any blue cheeses and was advised this would be omitted and extra plain cheese would be substituted this was not the case and the cheese board arrived exactly as described on the menu, rather than complain we just left these cheeses as the staff were really busy
Excellent, totally enjoyed our lunchtime experience, however only one criticism being the Latte was a bit strong and had a somewhat bitter after taste, everything else was superb really, thank you, we will be back.
Food was lovely, service was excellent and a good atmosphere.
This was our first visit to the Wheatsheaf and we were very impresses and will come back to try your other menus very soon. The decor and staff were both excellent. Our only small comment was that it took some time beore our drinks order was taken and considering when we placed our food order the restaurant was fairly quiet, the starters seemed to take a long while coming. This is only a small niggle as we were with friends catching up with news so it did not really matter though we were a tad hungry.
Lovely staff, lovely atmosphere & decor and the food was fantastic. Will be returning.
Excellent food, attentive staff, busy restaurant with great atmosphere on the Saturday night we went
Not much vegetarian food.
We had afternoon tea for 20. The sandwiches and desserts we were given were lovely but for £15 per head there were 3 tiny sandwiches each and a small sausage roll per person. There was a lovely trifle and 2 small desserts each and tea and coffee but felt that £15 per head was a lot of money for what we received, We also felt that we would have preferred more savoury than dessert.
Nice decor and crockery and enjoyed the cauliflower soup however not sure if we will be back owing to the difficulty parking. Ordered 2 pots of tea which were extremely strong - too strong although the waitress did bring us some hot water and offered to replace them if required.
Been 3 times recently for food drinks an afternoon tea all 3 time the food was outstanding the service on our first two visits were questionable but when we came for afternoon tea yesterday the lady was lovely welcoming and efficient
Excellent, attentive service and good food. The bill seemed to include items we had cancelled the day before, we were told we had had equivalents instead but obviously when separating the bill no one present had the belly pork etc etc so it led to some of us having to put in extra money to settle the bill. Very good besides that though.
We were disappointed that the menu for Sunday dinner was the same as Sunday lunch. There was very little choice apart from the traditional Sunday roast. There was no vegan option either. Several customers who arrived after us were served before us.
The Wheatsheaf in Sandbach never fails to excel. Fantastic food, staff and service The Salmon & Crayfish starter is to die for, absolutely delicious.
The restaurant was chilly. Food could have been hotter. Quite disappointed
Excellent service and great atmosphere
Very noisy, nearly impossible to talk to the people on your table. Very poor vegetarian choice
Fantastic place .. People & Service What moor can I say.
Excellent food !
Best meal by far in Sandbach and great range of cocktails professionally made and at a very good price!
