About Watermark Restaurant
Modern European cuisine with Sunday Roasts and Afternoon Teas
The hotel room and stay was amazing. Breakfast was ok but a bit expensive and didn’t find it overly best value for money. Would stay again but think twice about the breakfast.. the views of the lake are amazing and was very rested
Have stayed at Frensham and dined in the restaurant many times. Never disappoints.
Recently spent 2 nights at the hotel and was totally impressed with the standard of food and service especially given the difficult times. Could not fault anything and will definitely consider staying again.
Unfortunately no atmosphere as we were the only dinners. Seeing it was a Tuesday appreciate the restaurant might be slow. Otherwise a good dinning experience.
Food was shockingly poor and widly overpriced. Stale bread, supermarket standard main and microwaved dessert. Awful. £10 for toast and 2 mini stale croissants for beeakfast. Completely ripped off. Avoid like covid
Good food and service, and relaxing atmosphere whether you are eating inside or out on the terrace.
Very pleasant food and staff. My negative is the staff weren't very knowledgeable on the menu, especially the kids menu and had to keep checking with the kitchen. We enjoyed it and would return.
Generally pretty good. Food was nice. Atmosphere was nice. One of the servers could have been a bit more friendly? But overall good x
I liked it a lot. It helped my bowels to move, so thank you! Constipation is not nice
Was a lovely evening
Lovely lunch. Food excellent and service very good. Highly recommended. Hope to return.
An absolutely great lunch. Service is great, good is very good and the price is right. And the view on the pond is extremely pleasant in a summer's day.
My husband and I came here for lunch to celebrate my 70th birthday. Excellent service and good food and Covid restrictions were to a high standard and we wouldn’t hesitate to come back.
Although I had to cancel my booking at a very short notice, the staff was extremely kind on the phone, and I am looking forward to booking a table with you again soon! Best regards Cathia
Great birthday lunch. Excellent food and service. Just no-one else there! That was nice but made it a bit quiet. View was amazing
Excellent meal and service.
Even though new potatoes were available as a side dish we were told that the roar could not be server with new potatoes instead of roast potatoes!
Steak was disappointingly grisly and not hot. For what I paid I was expecting a top notch dinner. I have had better for less in a friendlier setting
Excellent waiter service from Ivan, lovely cooked food, beautiful restaurant. Good menu. Perfect.
You should check your records. You rang me to cancel our reservation at short notice telling me the restaurant was closed. Not impressed.
I booked a table for four for a business lunch. The food was delicious and the surroundings are stunning. Overall, really impressed.
The staff were friendly and the service was good, however, we were not very happy with the quality of the food and were expecting better. The view out to the water was lovely...
Great location and great service and quality of food. Would highly recommend
We stayed here for our 1st wedding anniversary and visited the watermark restaurant for dinner. When we arrived the restaurant was almost empty, there was no atmosphere at all and it felt like we were sitting in a conference room. We decided to give it a try. We both tried to order a sirloin steak and were told that it had run out and we needed to order the ribeye, which wouldn't have been a problem, but when it turned up my wifes steak was mostly fat and gristle, we tried to find someone to tell but there were no staff to be seen, we carried on with the rest of the food as we were so hungry, at the end of the meal we told the waitress that at least half of the steak was inedible but we were very quickly told that "yes, ribeye steak is like that" on the other hand, my one was perfect, they were completely different, we weren't offered another one or for it to be taken off the bill. We mentioned it to another staff member who just shrugged their shoulders. This should have been our perfect evening but it was ruined by a complete lack of customer service. I have never actually complained online about a restaurant before but I feel that this occasion was overshadowed by a whole staff team who just didn't seem bothered to be there. The bar staff were equally as dismissive, it just felt like we were in the way when all we wanted was a drink. We cancelled our breakfast reservation and left the hotel the first thing the next morning. Please train your staff to have at least a basic level of customer service.
Beautiful food, good attentive service in a lovely setting overlooking the pond
