About Vue Restaurant
A metropolitan destination celebrating Auckland’s urban inner city with a new fit out that soaks up the afternoon sun paired with spectacular city views. The food is gloriously casual reflecting true Kiwi spirit with fresh local produce, but reliable without a trace of it being mundane.
We can guarantee that you won’t be disappointed with all that is on the new menu, we’ve sourced top Kiwi products like oysters from Te Matuku, salmon from Akaroa, local Puhoi cheese, Raukumara venison, Wakanui beef and line caught sustainable fish, just to name a few.
Located within the restaurant is Attica bar, providing a sophisticated scene that conveys the depth and urban style of the inner city. Matched with a superb beverage and cocktail menu, Attica offers unmatched service in a spectacular, loft destination with city views.
Vue Restaurant can be hired out completely for larger events and will be available to take bookings for smaller parties.
The Vue is truly special. Last night was our third visit and the perfect venue to celebrate our friend’s birthday dinner. The food, service and decor is exceptional ... the panoramic outlook over the ferry building and on to the harbour is stunning. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant .. the wait staff really seem to care. My entree was scallops and chorizo which was superb. I then had the prawn linguine ... 100% fav for me - delish. Our compliments to everyone including chef, management and wait staff. We live close by at the viaduct and I work at Westhaven Marina so we are lucky enough to have this gem on our ‘doorstep’ .. a stroll home on a clear night after such a nice evening finished it off nicely. As an interior designer in a previous life I have a great appreciation for the decor and ambiance created .. well done
We had a lovely meal at Vue in Auckland. The view from the 13 floor overlooking the Harbour was mesmerising at night. We felt very welcome as we were greeted when we arrived. The service was excellent and the food was just delicious - we were not disappointed. The prices were reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant. Only disappointment is they dont have moscato (but I found that was a common occurrence in NZ)
Had a lovely time. Great food, and ambiance Thanks
Such a lovely place with great decor. Food was good but I did have a few bones in my salmon that weren't removed.
Excellent venue for business or romantic meal. Fantastic views, friendly staff and great food.
I would definitely recommend due to the quality of food and the mood of the atmosphere however in terms of service, it was great at the start being greeted and shown to our table but as the night went on, the service deteriarated in they didn't listen to what we ordered properly the server kept on asking us to repeat ourselves - we weren't shown where the dessert menu was... Until they took it away and we had asked for it again.. It just took a long while, in bringing our drinks and so forth. But the food was sssoooo delicious, that I would come back just for it!,
Staff where lovely and setting was perfect. 😊
Really enjoyed the evening
I was there for dinner yesterday, I loved the food and service of the floor staff. But the one thing I would like to suggest is to work on the presentation of the food. Would really appreciate.
We had a great birthday dinner here. Nice atmosphere, even though quite luxurious, it felt very relaxed. Absolutely the best service. Thanks so much for the wonderful experience.
On arriving we were asked to wait in the bar while they prepared our table, even though we had a booking for 7.30. There was no cocktail menu, only a special of the Day & only 2 red wines available by glass. After 30min went by we thought they must’ve forgotten us, so went to enquire only to be told to wait again, this time in the lounge. Finally after another 15min we were shown to a table. There were plenty of tables & the restaurant did not look busy, so have no idea why the long wait. They could’ve at least given us menus while we waited or offered a glass of wine. They did apologise eventually with no real explanation & gave us a complimentary glass of wine. The food was substandard & underwhelming. Minimal thought went into presentation. Disappointing if they are trialling a new menu. Not what you would expect at a high end hotel in the CBD. They need to know, it’s not working! For a recently renovated hotel, we were expecting bit more of a wow factor. We won’t be back.
Entree was delicious. Four main meals two were lovely, one was ok and fourth was bad. Service a bit slow but otherwise beautiful setting and very clean. Dessert was great. No special coffees or cocktail menu which was surprising in a restaurant of this level.
Our party of nine had a very pleasant evening and really appreciated the atmosphere and service. We could talk easily to the end of the table and had a great variety of food at a reasonable price.
Great food, great location, great atmosphere and an amazing view over the harbour. Great place to bring family, friends and business associates.
The view was fantastic. The wait staff was excellent. The food was consistently very slow - appetizer, main, desert and even coffee. The food/drink was not hot or became dry.
We arrived on time and we taken to a window table with fantastic views over the harbour and waterfront . The resturant was about quarter full. We ordered drinks and our entrees and mains straight away for the two of us.Our drinks arrived about 10 minutes later, glass of wine was poured at the table as was my beer, unfortunatly my beer was a glass of froth, I dont think the waitress had ever been told to tilt the beer glass, as she just poured with one hand from a great height. After exactly 1 hour from the time we had ordered our entrees turned up. by this time we were without drinks and no offer was made to refresh our glasses we had to call the waitress back to ask for more drinks. Our first thoughts of the entrees was how huge they were to the point that they would have been fairly generous as a main. My first bite unearthed burnt Ciabatta under this rediculous sized entree, i waited for my partner to try her entree, and it had well under cooked rice. After waiting for 1 hour for this poorly cooked horendously presented plates we decided to walk out of a resturant for the first time in my life and i am well into my 50s so have been to a lot of resturants in my time. While paying for the two drinks we had consumed the head waiter informed us they are very busy serving room service at this time of the evening (8.15pm) almost as if we should have been gratefll we got served at all, no apoligy, sorry or thankyou. We had previously been to Vue for lunch and had a reasonable experience but we will never return to this resturant or recommend it to anyone. We are Accor gold card members and unfortunatly this facility is an embarresment to the brand and chain. This resturant has one of the best locations in Auckland and should be an absolute gem, the managment and staff really need to ask some serious questions of themselves. I could go on forever as this should be a gold mine for its owners unfortunatly they obviously take no notice of trip adviser and other review sites, maybe the should.
Clearly there were not enough servers working as it took far too long for our empty plates to be taken. Wait staff had tunnel vision when walking around; I could not get anyone's attention to ask for more cutlery or a drink.
Lovely meal in a fabulous location
2 of the 3 wines I ordered were not available. I asked for a bourbon on the rocks & received something sickly & sweet instead. Grab one deal offered value for money, starter was well cooked- scallops. My main - steak was cooked perfectly but completely overpowered by the over reduced salty powdered packet demi glacé gravy. Said gravy was ubiquitous, was on both our starters and both our main!! Salmon!! Weird. Whilst the roasted marrow bone was great in theory it was badly executed as it was not cooked long enough so was very unpleasant and oily. Too hit and miss for us to return, nice view, nice restaurant, shambolic drinks service and gross over reduced packet sauce on pretty much everything. It’s a shame as the chef cooking the proteins did a good job, the rest was lack lustre
The staff made our evening very special - it was my hubby's birthday. The view over the harbour from our table was amazing. The glass of champagne to celebrate was a nice surprise! Food was excellent. We lingered over our drinks after the meal without feeling we need to free up the table. Well done and we will be back
Main course dishes we had were fine although the side dish of roasted carrots seemed a bit overdone. Great views over the harbour.
Food was fresh, flavoursome, and beautifully cooked. Thank you. Greg.
Very good service. Food is tasty!
Started off with poor service from Jessie, approached the counter and as busy asked to take a seat, he the continued to seat two more parties who cam upto the counter completely forgot about us. Food was lovely although 5 raw or smoked dishes on the entrée selectionis not for everyone chef, my Tuna was lovely but at only $12 far to cheap dont think this dishes was costed out properly more variety here I think, Brussel sprouts on the side dish I knew they were out of season so no surprise they were not available, scotch fillet with bone marrow was nice but looked small for 300g needed something else with the dish as was very basic Overall has potential but chef need to fine tune here.
