So I have had a reservation, as I am being asked to review my dining experience. I was also asked to re-confirm my reservation in the morning of May 19 for the dinner later, which I did. However, when I reached the restaurant, the staff has no details on my reservations and initially said could not accommodate me as they were full. So being an international traveller, I asked to get on the WiFi so I could show them by booking; was told purchase access code for FJ$10. Finally, Ossie was great and handled the situation and accommodated me. Food, service, and experience were great but no much value for money. Would like to really thank Ossie for his kind service.
Surely you are joking, asking me for feedback on my dining experience at V? Below is a copy of the email that I sent you yesterday regarding this, which you haven’t bothered to reply. I also sent one to Accor Hotels, and they haven’t cared to reply either. “Hello, I am sending this email to voice my complaint regarding our booking at V Restaurant as confirmed below. I am an Accorplus member. We are staying at a different resort in Fiji, but having dined at V Restaurant on previous visits, I wanted to treat my wife and son to a fancy dinner on our last night on the island. I booked our table and we received a confirmation email, and then later a follow up reminder email regarding our booking. After getting dressed in our best clothes, and paying for a taxi from our resort to the Sofitel, we arrived at V only to be told that the restaurant is not open on Sundays. We then had to pay for another taxi into the marina to find an alternative restaurant for dinner. I’m sure you can understand my disappointment at this series of events, and must say that I expect (and usually receive) a much higher level of service from a hotel of this caliber. What a wonderful experience we had. Service was amazing, lots of little extras, food was perfect, very helpful and thoughtful regarding glutenfree options, enjoyed it so much we repeated the experience on Tuesday night. Even better experience.
This was the second time at V. Both times have been excellent dining occasions with great food and service. Very impressed with menu of the day. We enjoyed all the food. Service was impeccable.
I wanted to celebrate my birthday in V with my family until I was told that children were not allowed when arrived in time for our booking. They said it was a rule however the online booking site did not advertise this. If it was advertised that under 16yr olds were not welcome we would not have booked. They did finaly give approval for our 11yr old to go in but it really set the mood to celebrate with their initial response. I find it amusing how this place has worked out a way of not wanting money.
We have dined at V restaurant a few times now. The meals are always amazing.
good food nice wine list and great service
We had a very disappointing experience at V Restaurant 24/4/2017 Have visited many times with wonderful memories of fine wine, food and service, Unfortunately this visit was very disappointing. The service was slow and very unorganized, meals came out at different times, some times we still had the previous course plates at table. The wine selection was excellent but we had to ask 3 times for our wines and they took along time to arrive. Infact we had almost finished our main course when our pinot Gris arrived. The food was nice but varied in quality my pasta was lovely but the other guests Lobster was very disappointing and looked unappealing. We will not be returning.
