About Vovem Meat & Liquor
Vovem is contemporary. Sophisticated. Innovative.
Offering a unique experience and authentic atmosphere, Vovem will be a bar and steakhouse of the likes Aberdeen has never seen before.
Above all, it oozes quality. Quality is a value at Vovem’s core, and it drives everything we offer, from our mouthwatering steaks to our on-trend bar and premium service.
sides went cold very quickly, maybe dishes with lids would be better. Steak was amazing, need more variety with burgers and not everyone likes brioche buns so would be best to say what the bun is on the menu
Great Restaurant always a must go when colleagues are in town
I absolutely love Vovem. Staff are always lovely. Food is beautiful. My favourite steak restaurant hands down.
The food was amazing however my steak was overdone (asked for medium was more welldone) however the quality of the meat saved that! We had a wait between starters and mains and the waitress was aware of that and we got a complimentary taster to break this up. We have recently visited another steak establishment in Aberdeen and the service we got at vovem was impeccable and I couldn’t fault it.
What a fantastic place with a fabulous atmosphere. The food was excellent, our server Alex was so friendly and although obviously very busy she took very good care of us. We would definitely love to come back for a treat. My only dislike was our creamed cabbage which came swimming in cream - I’ve not seen it served like this before and it wasn’t to my liking unfortunately. I would have also loved to have seen a few more dessert options - something chocolate based!!
Awesome food! Will definitely be back!
Sunday Roast was really good. Roast Sirloin with all the trimmings. Staff were as friendly as ever. We'll see you again soon. Recommended.
Surly service, ran out of the wine we were enjoying and some food items. Very expensive, poorly cooked steaks.
Monica was our server, lovely and very helpful, There were little gliches sauce missing from our starter and a side dish from our mains, Unfortantely my husband's Highland Beef Sirloin was disappointing, sinew running all through it,Monica was very helpful in dealing with the problem, and his meal was deducted from the final bill, but he would have loved to enjoy his steak, think he was just unlucky, We look forward to returning for a 2nd visit which we have booked for a family birthday celebration on June 8th at 4pm, Thanks Debbie Murray
Some of the worst steaks we have had! We arrived on time for our table, but it took 25 minutes to be seated. Both of our steaks were underdone and chewy to the extent it couldn’t be swallowed, and both of the tables beside us had to send their meals back. We got mash and chips as a side, and shared the beef dripping bread. The chips were greasy and soggy, the mash was flavourless and dry and the bread was greasy and tasteless! By the time the waitress appeared, we were more than halfway through our meal as we were starving. We told her we were unhappy but nothing was done about it and the bill remained the same...£73 for two main courses, sides and two drinks. I would be surprised if this lasts long in Aberdeen given the competition is so strong!
Been several times since being home, always a good atmosphere, service is very efficient and the food is always lovely. Always looking for an excuse to go back.
Great food service and atmosphere! And we loved 21 crimes ! Alex was a fab waitress and helped us make fantastic food choices! We will be back for the next special occasion!
The food and service was excellent and well presented, however the night had been spoiled before it begun. We had originally booked the succulent pig 2 weeks in advance as it was a 40th birthday celebration, 5 hours prior to the meal we were informed there would be no succulent pig due to a "supplier issue". We were offered the Flintstone rack at reduced price but opted for the menu which saw no discount, no continuity. Throughout the meal we received no apology or even a token gesture and we had remind them when paying the bill we had put down a deposit.
Food and service was perfect only issue we had was with hot drinks. Tea and coffee served in glass mugs with no handles? As a safety issue these are not a good idea as could not lift cups. Tea bags were not strong at all.
Was let down on initial arrival as taken to our table and hostess left without saying a word or offering to take our jackets. Table waitress was very attentive and had great knowledge of the menu. Food was outstanding and will be definitely be back!
Great service but the lecture about the types of beef a little too detailed. The menu advises the source. Maybe more detail about how best to cook your chosen steak. A couple at our table chose med rare rib eye....with the result it was rather chewy and fatty. Mine was medium and was excellent
We had a very enjoyable time with you and your staff. Food was excellent, we were not rushed during our time in Vovem, we had a great time.
Food was amazing. Can’t wait to return.
It was just a treat.. will be returning soon hopefully!
First visit to Vovem & there was nothing at all I could fault.. Excellent!
Really nice food and service was excellent but waitress needs to calm down a bit and not snatch away empty glasses quite so quickly particularly when there is some left still to consume.
Our waiter Tom was great- he shared knowledge of the menus and his recommendations were what we went for, we couldn’t fault the food.
Fantastic experience and a real step above any other restaurant in Aberdeen. Love it
Fantastic first visit to Vovem with a friend for an early dinner. The service was perfect and the staff were friendly and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back.
I asked for my filet to be medium but it came more medium to well done but i couldn't put it back as it was too delicious...so think that says it all 😃 one happy customer!!
