About Viva Brazil Cardiff
Viva Brazil Churrascaria is an award winning, authentic, Brazilian style steakhouse. The concept is simple, Viva Brazil gives you more – more of everything… food, service and atmosphere.
Once you are seated, our troop of passadors (meat carvers) move from table to table, offering more than fifteen finest cuts of succulent meats all slow-roasted over a charcoal barbeque and expertly carved at the table. At Viva Brazil Cardiff, you control the service with a small double-sided disc placed on your table. The green side signals the passadors to keep bringing meats, while the red side indicates that you would like to take a break. To accompany the meats served to your table, our Salad Island boasts over twenty different variations of traditional Brazilian hot dishes, freshly prepared salads and sides.
Join us for a dining experience that dates back hundreds of years to the time of the cowboys of Southern Brazil. Times may have changed, but we’re sure that our food, service and hospitality are just how they would have loved it!
Food is lovely and staff are very customer friendly
Outstanding service from start to finish, that’s why it’s the only place we eat when we come to Cardiff
Our waiter was brilliant so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble! Excellent food
Fantastic visit again! Went with my girlfriend and a few friends and we were not disappointed! Service was amazing as usual. Food was prompt and generous.
We visited Viva Brazil on Friday for our anniversary, we have always loved coming to the restaurant however, i am sorry this time was so disappointing. I appreciate that it is hard to deliver outdoors however, I didn't feel as a business you really invested in this to make it as comfortable as you could for your customers, there was no where near enough patio heaters charging £30 per head for the main meat dish and you couldn't even ensure that there was enough heating to reach all those seating. why should customers pay the same price and get less service? we were absolutely freezing and ended our night short due to being so cold. I appreciate that providing services outside is not ideal, but the least you could have done was invest in some more patio heaters to ensure your customers were at least getting a little bit of warmth, its really put me off coming again. All restaurants were in similar circumstances and some just ensure their customers a great service viva brazil definately did not.
We had a really lovely time and the staff were very helpful. We had a reservation, arrived on time however the staff notified us that other customers were running late and apologised for the issue. We were sat down to wait and served free drinks on the house for the delay! Once we could move to our actual table, we were well looked after. We were told we could move to a table by the heater under the gazebo so we felt very accommodated. We will definitely be returning again soon, great food, great service. Thank you!
Service and food was excellent.
Only thing that let it down was that we arrived 5 minutes before our booking yet still had to wait 15 minutes for our table to be ready but do understand that the tables need to be cleaned etc. Service was great, food was amazing so can’t fault anymore
Very nice food and drinks. Service was brilliant also
Great dining experience, highly recommended.
Staff were so friendly, very attentive. The food was excellent! Can't wait to go back and try more of the meat next time.
The food is amazing and the service is great! Would 100% recommend
Amazing food and service yesterday for lunch. Can’t wait to return soon. Have already raves about it to all my friends and family insisting that they need to go
Friendly and fast service and the food was absolutely delicious! Will definitely be coming back again!
The best place to dine
Booking was for 9pm. Still waiting at 9.30 pm. People who arrived after us were seated first. Sides were pathetic not big enough for a toddler. Drinks arrived after our food. So disappointed. Meat was over salty.
The tent was a bit windy and cold, could have done with a better outdoor set up, but the food and staff were wonderful as usual
service was super slow and we were seated after two couples which arrived 20 minutes after us. We waited over 30 minutes for our table. Food was good once it finally arrived. They drinks took forever to come (over 20 minute wait for a glass of wine!).
Excellent service from all staff. They were very accommodating given we could only dine outside. The food was as good as usual and when served indoors. Children were given a specific menu which gave them a good choice. Excellent
First time we have ever been to Viva Brazil, staff were helpful, friendly and polite. Food was amazing especially the Sirloin steak. Would definitely visit again once dining is allowed inside again 😊
Had to wait 20 minutes over our booked time for a table to become available under the gazebo area (with heaters). It was raining and we weren’t happy to sit at a table with just a mobile umbrella for some shelter, as there was also a breeze / chill. Not all of the tables had sufficient covering - perhaps this could be rectified by having more gazebo’s and heaters? As a way of apology for the wait we were offered a free first round of drinks, which we appreciated. Once seated on a table under the gazebo, we were not cold as heaters kept us warm. The staff were very apologetic and kept in constant communication with us, as well as offering us alternative seating options. The service, atmosphere and food were all fantastic and we cannot fault it. This was our first time visiting and although it started off slightly rocky, it has not put us off coming back again.
Staff are amazing, food is amazing. We froze sat outside but it was so worth it!
Food was amazing very good service by staff can’t wait to come back already!
I can only praise you on your efforts with the outdoor sitting, heaters etc as well as the online menus and table service for side dishes. That being said, that’s where my praise ends. My understanding is that in Viva Brazil the meats are unlimited. However, me and my partner left unsatisfied. We got to try every meat on offer, however, we were given one piece of each meat and when we asked for more of certain meats we liked we were ignored. Waiters were constantly walking passed but completely ignored us we were not offered the opportunity to have any extra meat. For example I had one piece of garlic bread, one slice of pineapple (my favourite) one piece of rump steak etc. Normally I have to turn my card to red for a break but my card was left on green all night. Yet at most points of the night my plate was empty and I had to rely on side dishes. I don’t like to complain but at £29 per person I certainly don’t feel that I had my value for money. We waited so long for more meat but in the end we felt completely awkward and just asked for the bill. We have visited this restaurant on a number of occasions for birthdays, celebrations etc and I’ve never been as disappointed as I have tonight. I hope other people don’t have the same experience but I cannot see us visiting again.
