About Vittoria on the Walk
Vittoria on the Walk is an Edinburgh institution and has been part of the life of families, professionals, students and visitors to the city for almost 50 years. Opened by Alberto Crolla in 1970, this bustling, friendly, family Italian restaurant is now run by his grandson, Alberto Jr.
Under his management, Vittoria’s restaurant in Leith continues to serve up a fantastic combination of great Italian food and friendly staff ensure it is as busy as ever and one of Leith’s trendiest and most popular eateries (and you’ll still find Alberto Sr popping in to help out on a regular basis).
Vittoria’s is open daily from 10am, serving up a delicious array of menus packed with dishes to suit the time of day, from scrumptious breakfasts, to light bites and great value lunches, plus a huge a la carte menu featuring pizzas, pastas, salads, meat and fish dishes and indulgent desserts. And their fantastic food is complemented by an extensive selection of wines, cocktails and drinks.
The Vittoria restaurant in Leith also boasts a fantastic Private Dining Party Room which is hugely popular for all types of events and celebrations, from birthdays and anniversaries to graduations and office parties, family get-togethers and intimate weddings.
At Vittoria on the Walk, they promise exquisite Italian dishes prepared with love and flair and delivered by personable staff. And their philosophy is simple… to offer food sourced with an eager eye for provenance and quality, offering a genuine taste of Italy and experience!
Yummy food and great service even given the circumstances staff were so kind and the blankets where a great idea!
Beautiful restaurant with delicious food!! Staff are super accommodating and we were seated in a nice private corner with a window. Thank you very much for a lovely relaxing experience! :)
Best Italian in Scotland hands down. Polite and friendly staff, good quality produce, atmosphere is exquisite. I’ve been to Vittoria 10+ times and it’s never faulted me.
I was so pleased to be able to return to Vittoria to celebrate my colleague leaving her job. It was the first time we had had dinner out since before the lockdown and we were so happy with the excellent service and delicious food that we received from the staff. We do wish you all the very best for a successful re-opening post lockdown. Vittoria is still my favourite Edinburgh restaurant!
Amazing as always
Had a wonderful evening, the food was great and service was even better. No faults, just some real good Italian food.
great to have you back. excellent as ever
As ever, really friendly and attentive staff with a delicious choice of food.
Food and service excellent.
Fantastic to be back after the lock down. This place is a part of the fabric here in Edinburgh
Great food in one of the capitals hidden gems. Staff were fantastic as always!
Great service, lovely food - nice to see you back open
Thank you for a lovely lunch! Delicious meatballs and fantastic pizza.
Brilliant food as usual, best Italian restaurant in town!
Vittoria is a must in Edinburgh. It was our first meal back after the latest round of restrictions. As always staff went out of there way to be polite and make your visit special despite the current context. I would always suggest this place to anyone who wants a high quality meal and experience!
A warm welcome, friendly service and freshly cooked quality food at reasonable prices. What more could you want?! We'll be back on our next visit to Edinburgh :-) PS the house wine is excellent!
Great to be back visiting Vittoria on the walk. The food as usual is superb and the staff very professional and welcoming. Have already booked to go back see you soon.
Service was so slow. One member of the party didn’t have a starter so was so hungry when the food finally arrived. No apology or update from waiting staff. They just hurried around and didn’t make themselves easy to speak to for an update. Bill was wrong as well.
We were there an hour and a half and got only 1 course. Main course was luke warm and we wanted desert but got fed up waiting for our order to be taken.
The staff were great and put up with our moans about the non-sensical ban on alcohol indoors with good humour. We know it’s not down to the restaurant but the politicians. Frankly it’s a mystery! We’ll be back again soon.
Amazing as always, NGCI options were great as always. Can't wait to come back again
Amazing visit all round - service, food and wine. All fantastic. I think the outdoor area could benefit from some nice wooden planters, or banners/barriers to make it feel more inclusive, and it would be better than having to look out onto the road or the unsightly street furniture like the bins, traffic, cars and telephone box, etc. However, one minor suggestion and it didn’t take away or impact on our visit.
Servers were lovely but long wait between starter and main. Enjoyed our meals, especially the pasta. Would have liked a few more vegetarian options for pasta dishes though.
Great service for lunch, food amazing as also. So nice to be back to sitting in a restaurant after lockdown. Highly recommend
It was so good to be able to eat at Vittorias after being stuck at home with covid. Great food. Fabulous staff.
