Food was good and staff were very friendly, however what frustrated me was the fact that at the time of booking I was reassured multiple times on a call that a deposit would not be taken off of the card I placed the booking under, and it was. I emailed the person I was in contact with regularly to query this and I received no response. The person who used their card to hold the booking had to pay £130 as a deposit when I had told them nothing would be taken off. Other than that everything was fine though.
Really enjoyable evening ! Will definitely be coming back next time we’re in Edinburgh!
Fantastic christmas lunch - quick service and the food was brilliant...
Out of 8 meals 7 were excellent and the other was a pasta dish that was a but a bit dry. The minestrone soup was excellent, the best we have ever had. we had a waiter that was quite arrogant and seemed to take offence that we did not order the wine he was promoting then took 20 minutes to bring us our wine after leaving it sitting on an empty table. he then went for his break and we were served by a very charming young lady and all was well. Overall Good
The food was lovely and the restaurant was very nice. However, our server was rude. He was nice and upbeat at first, but became more and more rude throughout our brief dinner. I do not believe we did anything to upset him. He rushed us along, despite us only having been there for 45 minutes. Our reservation stated that we had to be out within two hours, so I am not sure why he was rushing us when we had not even been there a full hour. When we asked for boxes to take our food home, he was exasperated and huffed at us. It was a bit odd. He did box it all up for us and we thanked him.... but at the end, he dropped our check on the table without even looking in our direction, as he was already talking to the next table. Another server came over with the credit card reader and he was much nicer, so I am sure not all the servers there are quite so rude. He did not say goodbye or respond when we said thank you on our way out, however the second server did thank us and say goodbye.
I GOT MY MAIN COURSE 5 MINS BEFORE MY WIFE. WAITER WAS FRIENDLY. FOOD WAS AVERAGE. PRICE WAS AVERAGE PLUS. VERY NOISEY.
Service very rushed and main course food very poor.
great atmosphere looked after us well. very enjoyable night
We attending Vittorias George IV Bridge on 29 December for a staff night out. Would recommend and will visit again
Staff kept bickering amongst each other and although it wasn't busy, it created a very hectic and unpleasant atmosphere. Our waiter was so distracted and was too busy looking at the front door whilst serving us!
Enjoyed the night we were a large party and we were served all together...
Had to ask on a regular basis for food that we ordered as it never all came at once. Waited on sides, no oils with breads that arrived with our mains. The food tasted good but service let it down.
Really enjoyed our visit. Thank you.
Seat despite being booked over a week ahead was right next to door and draught from diners queueing was freezing. After asking we were moved but still to quite a cold seat.
Booked this for a family celebration and the food was good and the restaurant was clean and bright. The one thing was the staff were not the happiest looking bunch, it may be they were feeling under pressure and I know working with the public can be challenging. Would I go back probably not
Lovely evening in a lovely venue, with lovely staff
A really top notch restaurant. Great food selection,. Execution and delivery, great. Would return at the drop of a hat.
Helpful staff , enjoyable evening Bright and cheerful atmosphere
The food was amazing and staff were really friendly and quick. The portions were generously sized, so much so that most of us took food home. It's the second time I've eaten here and both times have been fantastic. We'll definitely be back again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend going here.
A very enjoyable pre-theatre meal for my wife and daughter. Thank you.
A great choice on the menu for gluten free and vegan dishes, still always the same high quality & delicious flavours. And always served by friendly cheerful staff. We love Vittoria's!
The food is really good, it is fantastic! But In my opinion, there still have many space to improve your service. The quality of the experience When the consumers enjoy their food is highly depend on the service. Although obviously your restaurant is very popular, so the waiters are very busy. That' s not means that your employee can ignore their service attitude. They took the menu away before I finished to order. The just look like very busy which make us feel that they can't offer any other survive. We really feel disappointed. No matter how delicious your food is, I am sorry that I won't come to here again.
Always great quality food and pleasant service
