When it comes to locations, this water front restaurant takes some beating. Nestled in the corner of Pwllheli Inner Harbour it has stunning views of the harbour and yachts. The inside is contemporary and comfortable with an open plan dining room seating 59 people, separate to the bar area.
Our restaurant serves great quality, super fresh food, sourced locally wherever possible, with dishes that will excite your senses and an imaginative menu with globally inspired specials using seasonal produce. We aim to cater for all tastes with varied selections, chef’s specials, delicious coffee and desserts. Experience al fresco dining under the parasols at the water’s edge and take in the views across the harbour to the stunning Snowdonia mountain range beyond. We recommend making a reservation, particularly during busy times like weekend evenings or holidays. We can accommodate reservations of any size. Large parties must call ahead to book a space. You are always more than welcome to take a chance and arrive without a reservation, bearing in mind you may need to have a seat at the bar and enjoy a cocktail or a glass of wine until a table becomes available.
I think our visit was very poor, food was presented poorly and needed more seasoning, lamb rack was swimming in gravy with tasteless potato. Veggie burger needed a condiment and to be smaller. Brucetta starter was so hard I couldn't bite it. Service was terrible. Girl spent most of the time hiding in the kitchen and at one point I even heard her make fun of another customer when they asked for chilli oil. We even had to knock on the kitchen door to pay our Bill as we were waiting for her to come out the kitchen for 10 minutes. To which we saw her talking to her colleagues. There is no chance at all I would return unless the food and service completely change. This place is style over substance and the restaurant needs to be concentrated on more.
Venue was very noisy, music coming from disco room next door, ceiling speaker directly above our table, and children from party running noisily between the two rooms past our table which was almost in doorway. We asked to be moved to a quieter table on the other side of the room, and were refused, these tables were reserved (they were still empty when we left) conversation over the meal was impossible without shouting. We both thought the food was bland, overpriced and bewildered how it took 20 minutes to bring a simple starter like olives. Couldn't wait to get out, and will never go back. If you want good service, good food in a quiet atmosphere, look elsewhere. Not recommended. Avoid.
Fabulous as usual can’t wait to come again soon
Really enjoyed my meal and service was fantastic!!
Fantastic Sunday lunch. Excellent service and a lovely setting. Definitely one I would recommend.
We had previous eaten here and the food was amazing unfortunately this time it was of a poor standard and would probably not return the ribeye steak was mainly fat and the lamb rack wasn't much better and for £21 and £17 I would have expected a higher quality of cut, the lamb rack was also cold.
First time visited as on holiday in the area. I am glad we booked as very busy. Fresh food and Sunday lunch was one of the best tasted along with excellent service and atmosphere.
Went for lunch for my birthday. The food waa realllyyy good! My dad said it was the best burger he has had. Would come again. Nice little place. To book in advance is better i think
We’ll be back!
Fantastic food, great value for money!
Fabulous dining experience at VENU as always. Love coming here where we get incredibly well looked after and fed fantastic food. Looking forward to the next time.
Food was excellent
Very good Sunday lunch with attentive service and super location. Our party of seven loved it!!
What a fab place and great service. 4 of us came for evening meal. All 4 of us commented on both the excellent presentation of the food (3 different dishes) and the quality of the food. Price was reasonable/ good for experience. Approx £13 main. Such a warm atmosphere we all stayed on in the club. Free admission from the restaurant. Defo back soon. Loved it.
I really enjoy visits to restaurant with my friends. We are greeted as though our being there is a pleasure to see us, greatly appreciated.
Tasty sunday lunch served on our last visit especially the leeks served on the side with red cabbage and carrots! Most enjoyable setting and decor and friendly staff.
So glad Pwllheli has somewhere like venu - we are always made so welcome . Cocktails are some of the best I’ve had
Whenever we come to Abersoch, we ALWAYS come to Venue, mainly because Peter, Neris and the lady owner are always exceptional. Love the atmosphere, the food and the drink.. pre about 10pm ! Could do with a few more low seats..comfy for us old foggies ! Terry (not Bill) Sweatmore
Lovely meals and fab service. Will definitely recommend to friends and family!
First visit to Venu. Nice place, good food and service.
We were a group of 6 people, we thoroughly enjoyed our evening, the food was really good, good atmosphere, the restaurant was full. My only comment was a couple of our party had the mohitos, they were very sour! Would definitely recommend and will come again.
JKA Sailmakers Christmas lunch - Six of us. What a lovely afternoon. We were made to feel very welcome, very relaxed, great food, probably one too many glasses of wine. The Venue team made everything seem effortless - Thanks you. Rob Riddell
Sooooo delicious, best turkey dinner I’ve had and my husband was complementing the beef also, highly recomend a visit.
Lovely food, excellent service. Disco not very good, same songs being played over and over. No atmosphere.....too quiet.
