About Veer Dhara
The concept of the Veer Dhara was the brainchild of an ambitious and visionary entrepreneur, named Surinder Singh Hora who is based in Central India. His objective was to present a new, different and exciting way to appreciate Indian food, and to demonstrate that excellence, diversity, tradition and affordability can all go hand in hand, and combine to give you an experience different to anything you have known so far.
The Veer Dhara invites you to participate in an authentic translation of Indian Cuisine. We are fully equipped to serve St. Albans and the public at large, with our exciting and varied range of dishes, prepared with unrivalled supreme culinary excellence, and served in stylish, elegant and stunning surroundings.
Excellent food, restaurant,staff.
Went here for a birthday celebration. Very good selection of food and drink, staff also attentive and overall an enjoyable night. Would highly reccomend.
Was expecting platters be a bit bigger. Felt like we were watched all the time as waiter stood by the side and watched as clearly he was bored as not many people in the restaurant. We won the voucher for two from school fair and was very disappointed that only thing was discounted was 2 cheapest starters! So I’m the end we didn’t win anything with this voucher as 10% tip was added automatically in the bill anyway. Not interested of coming back!
Delicious meal. Excellent lamb sagwalla , the meat was very tender.
Excellent food and very relaxed atmosphere.
As always a thoroughly good meal in great surroundings and a terrific atmosphere. Compliments to the chef who is always so kind to us and always remembers inviting my sons to cook nan in the kitchen. Thank you again for providing a wonderful meal and night out.
A perfect evening, the food, atmosphere and customer service was excellent.
Excellent all round . We had brilliant service and the food was fantastic . Great evening
Our favourite restaurant in St Albans!
What a fantastic New Year's Eve meal. Food and service was great as usual. Brilliant.
Outstanding food and service. One of the best Indian food restaurant.
A bit more expensive than some but worth it for amazing food. Friendly staff and nice pleasant dining area. Best curry in herts...
Food was lovely - thank you!
We really enjoyed all the food we had - although the chairs are extremely grubby & need replacing & also the toilets are not nice, again very grubby & need attention
Amazing response to my nut allergy - Accommodated my order and made it specifically without nuts
Great service and great food. Thankyou
A menu that beats any other in town. Haute cuisine type food cooked to perfection yet manages to retain home cooked flavours. The samosas and daal makhani are to die for.
The portions are small, could be a bit more, food more flavoured.
Always good food and great service.
We had an absolutely wonderful meal. Great service and atmosphere. Thank you Jenny Carolan
Good food at reasonable price for St Albans. Visited a quiet a few times, always at lunchtime.
Food good as always and a cut above most other local Indians. Decor and general appearance of the restaurant is however starting to show its age and would certainly benefit from a revamp. The men's toilets in particular were pretty poor! Staff were friendly enough. The service was a little on the slow side considering the room was only half full. Overall still good but not as special as it once was.
The toilets are long overdue for a refurbishment, plus the dining room chairs are dirty!
