The pioneering contemporary “Chinese x French” gastronomy is inspired by Executive Chef Vicky Cheng’s childhood, his parents, and the vibrant culture of Hong Kong, reflected in the bi-weekly changing tasting menu at VEA where he pours his heart into. The menu is renowned for a strong focus on seasonality and the use of rare Chinese products, where Vicky aims to create harmony between his Chinese roots, French culinary training, and precise plating aesthetics.
Upholding its reputation as the pioneer of the culinary philosophy, VEA continuously claims a spot on the Michelin Guide Hong Kong & Macau since it opened doors in late 2015. In April 2019, the restaurant was taken to new heights, receiving her first recognition from Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, coming in 34th, and 113th in the World’s 50 Best Restaurants. Currently, VEA is ranked No. 12 in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2020.
