The name reflects our goal – to become the hub and focal point of our community & for those from further afield! We also chose it because of our location (union of roads) and our belief as to what a truly local restaurant should be (union of people).
We are interested in achieving prominence based on consistency & quality rather than publicity. The seasonal dishes are modern & well-balanced, with just a few ingredients. The wine list is adventurous and keenly priced, and the service is professional while appearing casual and friendly. All of which can be enjoyed in a stylish contemporary space.
Lovely meal and very friendly and warm service. Be great to have more vegetarian options.
Fab location. Friendly warm attentive waiting staff. One overheard it was my birthday and they brought out a lovely dessert with a candle and sand happy birthday. A lovely touch
We love going to Union 8, the food is amazing and we feel treated like friends. It is so pleasant to spend time there. There was no other place for us to host a celebration.
Lovely restaurant with very tasty food. Their burger is the best in town, a bit pricey though.
Lovely meal, great atmosphere and moderate comfortable seating. Would go here regular enough as live nearby. Slightly overpricing on the main dishes but if the quality is good then you don’t mind paying a bit. Can’t understand why chunky style steak chips have never returned to the menu!!!
Great, as always
Had another great meal in your restaurant-highly recommend it
Food was great but the menu could be bigger.
Union8 has a very nice atmosphere, we were lucky to get a quiet night. The service was okay. I had a steak, medium rare but came out on the well done side unfortunately. They offered to take it back but didn't fancy wasting good food. I'll definitely give them another dinner date!
The food was great, the service fantastic. Thank you Union 8 for a lovely evening.
Beautiful place, casual laid back atmosphere with amazing food and excellent service
Very nice food and good service. Not in the centre of Dublin but well worth a visit.
The rib eye steak was divine, simply melt in the mouth! I will definitely be back!
Union 8 are always a delight to deal with. The food, service and ambience is always 5 star and I always get great feedback when I send colleagues and clients there. Looking forward to the next time - thanks!
Lovely food, stylish decor, great atmosphere and I will definitely be back.
The staff were super, food really good, well cooked & great flavour
Really Excellent, food, service all of it. Can't wait to come back!
The food and service are second to none. The menu is varied and always features something new and interesting. However, the interior, though well designed, is full of hard surfaces that creates a very harsh noisy atmosphere at times. I'd suggest to the management that they install some wall hangings and sound baffles on the ceiling. It was impossible to maintain a conversation at one point in the evening due to the noise in the middle of the restaurant between the high tables. Recommend choosing a table around the walls of the room.
Great food, great service and lovely atmosphere. Very attentive and well presented. Highly recommended.
Lovely food, amazing staff, Sandra in particular who really looked after us very well. Thank you
It is always a pleasure to dine at Union 8. The food is superb, the ambience stylish and cosy and the service friendly. Keep doing what you're doing!
Amazing food. Brilliant staff. Would recommend.
Great menu with beautifully cooked food. Really disappointed that so much of the menu was not available at the time. Some of the seats inside the restaurant are more suited to outdoors and are not that comfortable. Other seats (GPlan 70s chairs?) are a bit old and rickety. For the prices, all the seating should be more comfortable. Overall, it's really nice and enjoyable though.
We had a very enjoyable time at Union 8 on New Years Day all of the food was delicious, the staff are very friendly and professional and we loved the music! The only negative is I feel there should be a vegetable or potato dish included with the main courses. I ordered the coq au vin which was to come with potatoe dumplings. I was imagining polish style dumplings so didn’t add a side to my order but the dumplings were like little marbles so that was a bit disappointing as they wouldn’t fill a mouse-I had to steal fries from my daughter! This however would not put me off going back.
