About Unicorn Bar & Restaurant
The Unicorn Bar is a well established eatery and drink emporium on the south side of Limerick city. Since 1962 we pride our self on customer service and quality produce, these attributes we believe is the reason it has stood the test of time. A Greene Family establishment since 1962. The Greene Family name is synonymous nationwide for Quality since 1915. It all started in a little bar/ grocery in William St limerick, it developed from there to the Unicorn Bar in Dooradoyle in 1962 from there it again developed to the Four Star Greenhills Hotel www.greenhillsgroup.com on the Ennis road.
Didn't enjoy the food so much as we have done before.
Felt we were a bit away in the corner and as a result we were not in anyone's path to get served. Initial food and drink came out very quickly but after that we were waiting quite a while (30+ minutes) for anyone to clear our plates or take any other drink order. We left early as a result.
Totally enjoy the time out, food was nice will definitely book again
Very prompt service, very friendly staff. The food was absolutely lovely, plenty on the plate. I will definitely be back.
Nice place will definitely return
Great service and food as always. Luimneach abu!
Great atmosphere and lovely food
Great food and lovely atmosphere. Service was great and nice to have banter with the staff after covid break.
Great food and very friendly staff
After making a booking online a week in advance and having an email confirmation of the booking we arrived to the restaurant to be told we have to leave and that our reservation meant nothing. No apologies were given, the situation was dealt with horrendously and your customer service was appalling. If online bookings are just ignored/ over 15 people had already booked I should have been sent an email or called stating this. Very disappointed and will not be back.
The staff and food were fantastic, could not fault the service one bit. However even though there are signs that people should be wearing face coverings, when myself and my partner got up from our table we were the only ones with masks on. I went past 6-8 people who were away from their table and none had mask on. Also there were people standing outside the bathroom talking and I had to ask twice for them to move to let me pass. There also seemed to be tables of more than six people! I know this is an uncertain time for everyone and we want to get back to some normality but I feel too much risk was being taken and it made us both slightly uncomfortable.
The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful
