About Turtle Bay Preston
Welcome to Turtle Bay Preston!
Jerk... Rum.. Reggae....
Caribbean eating and drinking... is at the heart and soul of the Caribbean Island culture and we, here at Turtle Bay, aim to capture the essence of this way of life and the great food that evolves here. We are a Caribbean restaurant serving authentic great tasting Caribbean style food from Aruba to Saint Lucia. You will also taste our fantastic rum based cocktails and experience friendly service which we hope leaves customers wanting to come back to our bay again and again.
Located on trendy Birley Street we’re right in the hub of the city. Enjoy some reggae while sipping one of our cocktails and watching the world go by!
We had a lovely night and the food was great!
Drinks area little bit pricey BUT the value for money on the food is great
Tasty freshly prepared food. Staff friendly and polite...what a refreshing change. Only gripe is for a themed restaurant was the food wasn't actually as spicy as I would have liked it to have been ..
I have dinned in the restaurant few times already and never have been disappointed. I know managing popular place is not the easiest but you are doing it very well. Thank you for your service and looking forward visiting you again.
First time was excellent will return
The cocktails are amazing and the food is so so good I love the atmosphere too and the staff are friendly (what more could you want ..oh yeah turn up the heating lol) last 2 times I have been iv had to keep my coat on! Otherwise ..love turtlebay
Four of us were sitting for the meal as part of a birthday meal. Food came for three, however the fourth meal didn’t come with the others and was five minutes after. The dumplings when the fourth meal did arrive were RAW inside and had to be sent back. The fourth meal was finished by the time the cooked dumplings came back. An apology was offered but nothing else. The food was good apart from the delay and the undercooked dumplings hence the score.
Atmosphere was great although really busy due to the sunshine. Table was booked for a big group. Some of us ordered starters which came quickly and were lovely however we then waiting a minimum of 50 minutes for our main meal. I appreciate it was busy and we were a group but other people arriving after us were being served and leaving before we’d received our food.
Always a great place to get good food and good cocktails.
Very disappointed in Turtle Bay this weekend. Server was poor, unattententive and lacking people skills. Mains were served an hour after the starter was taken away and served cold. Sides were different as to what was stated on the menu and when asked why no explanation given. Steak was overcooked! Asked for comments to be passed to manager but no appearance or apology from management. Ordered daughter a drink ( passionfruit cooler) at 18.50 and it arrived at 7.25 after re requesting the drink. We visit Turtle bay regularly and was massively disappointed to the point that we will go else where next Friday evening!
Wonderful as always. The bbq jerk pit prawns are to die for. Love the food, love the atmosphere. Can’t wait for our next visit!
Drinks were exceptional. Food was good but the sirloin steak wasn’t great quality. Cooked as requested but a bad piece of steak and overpowered by the sauce. Staff was amazing considering how packed it was.
Having dinner with friends. Very loud music spoiled the evening. Quite difficult to hold a conversation. Dim lighting meant.reading the menu was tricky. More like a club than a restaurant. Shame.
Great time as always
Great food and drink
Good food, a bit different!
Table booked for 7pm on Friday night arrived to find no table was ready for 15 minutes. After standing at the bar and seeing the barman arguing with a customer we reminded a waiter we was waiting for a table, we then got seated. We walked out of turtle bay at 9pm the service was shocking. It took a very very long time to place an order, for our food to come, for the plates to be cleared and then to pay. It was really disappointing! On the flip side the food taste really nice and our waiter was nice I felt sorry for her. Turtle bay was too under staffed on Saturday night!
First time we have been there. We had a meal and a drink pre show at the Guild. Perhaps like to spend longer there next time. Couldn’t fault anything. Not that I want to. We will be back.
Fantastic place. The theme and the ambience when you walk in, is brilliant. Great atmosphere, very efficient, sincere and welcoming staff. They were great with our son too. Food was amazing and table service couldn't be faulted. Definitely will be going back there. One of the best restaurants I have been to in a while. Well done all, keep up the great work. Thanks
Seating at table was 25mins late, ran out of sauvignon blanc and pinot grigio! Food took 1.5hrs to come and one meal was burnt! Not to usual service or standard of food at this restaurant. We won't be rushing back
Visited on Saturday evening in time for happy hour. Excellent cocktails. I pre booked the table for our party of 10 and was glad as the restaurant was busy....and deservedly so. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals and the variety of gluten free options made choice pleasantly difficult for the coeliac member in my group. The young lady who looked after our table was bright, personable and a complete delight...she's a credit to the Preston team.
So we booked a table AWAY from the kitchen when I booked a week before hand. When this bookng was taken the person said this was okay as a member of our party struggled with too much heat. We turned up and found out we were put directly next to the kitchen, we had to ask to be moved table's away from the kitchen and then felt rushed by the fact they wanted us off that table by 8 even though we had booked in advance and we're celebrating a birthday so wanted to chill out with drinks and take our time!!
