About Tuk Tuk Indian Street Food
Colourful, all day dining restaurant serving small plates of Indian street food, lassis & sweets. BYOB (beer & wine only)
Had to repeatedly ask for coffee and then the bill - we had to be at the Kings Theatre for a 7.30 performance and coffee arrived at 7.20. Such a shame that had to happen as the meal was great. I understand you may have been busier than usual because of Valentines Day but the lovely coffee had to be rushed - will be back though! Why don't you do a pre-Theatre menu offer?
Really good food in an excellent atmosphere with equally good service.
Had looked forward to coming here but overall, we were somewhat disappointed. The food in the main was average - the prawns were good but given they were £2.60 each, they should be. Service was not great and staff appeared disinterested - no water offerered, and I had to go to the counter to pay the bill - I still don't know if this is policy or not. Not a patch on Mother India's Cafe - the only thing in common being the concept.
Good food, lots of choices, beware: spicy curries are really spicy. I recommend the mint mambo. On the downside, portions are relatively small, 2 items + rice/naan make a decent sized plate.
Our server was great. Very attentive and in a great mood considering it was NYE!
Food was lovely Felt we were being rushed off our table . All starters came same time as main course which made our table overloaded with food .... no space and made for us to be spilling things . We questioned why it all came together .... reply was ....because that’s what happens here . I have been here twice before and has never happened . Long wait to ask for member of staff for juice etc . Customer service very impersonal ... we had 3 kids with us and no offer of desserts or sweets ..... we spent £125 and gave a generous tip . Unfortunately won’t be back again with my family .... really disappointed ☹️
Excellent option for Indian food in Edinburgh and bring your own bottle keeps costs down
Tasty and moreish. Little heavy on the salt in places but otherwise excellent
Very accomodation due tothe fact we were running late and very efficient friendly staff and lovely food
The food was delicious, love the laid back casual dining experience. Unfortunately we live 2 hours away and would love something like this in Aberdeen. We will definitely be back next time in Edinburgh. Would highly recommend.
Fabulous food and a lovely buzz about the place
Great for group bookings!
Great all round will be back. The taste of the food is outstanding
Great restaurant, nothing to fault! BYO was a bonus
Table back by 9pm. Must have told us this between 5 and 10 times then rushed us away from the table at 20:50
Hi Michael, We are sorry to hear that you weren't happy with your recent visit to Tuk Tuk. As per my knowledge, your table was reserved for 7:30 pm till 9:00 pm where as you came in at 7:45 pm (15 Minutes late without notice). We do understand people could get late sometime for many reason. But we did mention it to you before we got you seated that we will require table back by 9:00 pm as there is a big group coming at 9:00 pm. I agree we have asked you around 2 times to get the table back and that too after 9:00 pm which we got back at 9:08 pm while the next party was waiting to get seated who has booked the table for 9:00 pm. We thank you for your feedback and we have taken it on board. If you have any further comments you would like to leave with regards to your visit please email us at [email protected] we would like to hear from you. Many Thanks Tuk Tuk Indian Street
Amazing food at good prices
Food was really tasty but quite pricey for the portion size. Our table was right beside the door and everytime people came in (which was very frequent) we got hit by the cold winds.
Excellent staff. Flexible. Friendly. Helpful. We were all very impressed. Well done all.
Food that is always interesting. Good choice and good prices.
I really enjoyed the food but found it all really spicy. I would return but know I need to ask for yoghurt with everything.
Whilst the food and service were outstanding the temperature of the room was unbelievably hot! I felt feint at some points. While it’s cold outside, it didn’t need to be that hot inside.
Only small criticism was we were a large group and struggled to find space on table for all our food orders - apart from that was absolutely fantastic - great food, great service, great atmosphere and amazing value for money.
