About Tuk Tuk Indian Street Food
Colourful, all day dining restaurant serving small plates of Indian street food, lassis & sweets. BYOB (beer & wine only)
Great all round will be back. The taste of the food is outstanding
Great restaurant, nothing to fault! BYO was a bonus
Table back by 9pm. Must have told us this between 5 and 10 times then rushed us away from the table at 20:50
Hi Michael, We are sorry to hear that you weren't happy with your recent visit to Tuk Tuk. As per my knowledge, your table was reserved for 7:30 pm till 9:00 pm where as you came in at 7:45 pm (15 Minutes late without notice). We do understand people could get late sometime for many reason. But we did mention it to you before we got you seated that we will require table back by 9:00 pm as there is a big group coming at 9:00 pm. I agree we have asked you around 2 times to get the table back and that too after 9:00 pm which we got back at 9:08 pm while the next party was waiting to get seated who has booked the table for 9:00 pm. We thank you for your feedback and we have taken it on board. If you have any further comments you would like to leave with regards to your visit please email us at [email protected] we would like to hear from you. Many Thanks Tuk Tuk Indian Street
Amazing food at good prices
Food was really tasty but quite pricey for the portion size. Our table was right beside the door and everytime people came in (which was very frequent) we got hit by the cold winds.
Excellent staff. Flexible. Friendly. Helpful. We were all very impressed. Well done all.
Food that is always interesting. Good choice and good prices.
I really enjoyed the food but found it all really spicy. I would return but know I need to ask for yoghurt with everything.
Whilst the food and service were outstanding the temperature of the room was unbelievably hot! I felt feint at some points. While it’s cold outside, it didn’t need to be that hot inside.
Only small criticism was we were a large group and struggled to find space on table for all our food orders - apart from that was absolutely fantastic - great food, great service, great atmosphere and amazing value for money.
Really great food (expensive, but good). Not a great atmosphere or service. I appreciate the style of a street food restaurant (and the nature of a Saturday night in Edinburgh) but we were in and out within half an hour - food came far too quickly, all squeezed on a tiny table, staff were anxious that we left as soon as we had eaten so they could have the table back. Felt very uncomfortable. If it had been more relaxed and laid back it would have been perfect. Fitting as many customers into a restaurant as possible is good as long as it doesnt compromise the overall experience. In this case it did. A real shame because the food was amazing
Great new experience and amazing food.
Everything wonderful, great place and would thoroughly recommend. Food superb!
Puri bombs fantastic
Great food and really lovely staff
Excellent service, food and atmosphere
First visit for a pre theatre meal. We were very impressed and loved the food. Good that you can bring your own bottle too.
Excellent evening, service a little sporadic but given how busy it was this was understandable. All dishes were excellent.
Great food, I wanted to try everything on the menu!
So good! Don't hesitate to try anything on the menu. It was delicious. Waiters were charming. A bit noisy for us.
Always fantastic. Best restaurant in Edinburgh
It would be helpful to see on the menu how spicy every dish is.
Overall lovely and service great. However it is slightly misleading to advertise vegan options when in fact they are cooked in the same fryer as non vegan products, making them non vegan. The vegan options were the main reason we booked and had been told over the phone that ALL vegan options were cooked separately. It was disappointing to find this was not the case.
