The food and coffee here is really wonderful. Feel lucky to have trove nearby.
Absolutely delicious food and incredible coffee as always.
Stylish place, interesting and delicious food. Coffee is stunning. Friendly, efficient service. Go now!
We’ve been in a few times but this day wasn’t up to the usual standard. The cappuccinos with oat milk are usually really nice but it had a funny taste this time, unpleasant and unlike the coffees with oat milk we usually get. Service was abysmally slow and there wasn’t many tables in so unsure what the problem was. We got our coffees given to us, wasn’t asked if we wanted any sugar etc and it then took us a while to be able to get a hold of a waiter to get some as they were FOH making coffees or otherwise occupied. When we did finally grab a member of staff she didn’t even ask us how many sugars we wanted, just assumed one sugar each and put them on the table. I had to get up myself and get more. We always get the eggs on toast and this time we both got scrambled but they were extremely watery. We also asked for white sourdough and got wholemeal. Not a major problem as all the bread is lovely but it’s not the point. Not sure what went wrong but for £17 for two tiny coffees and scrambled egg on toast it was a bit annoying. We didn’t have the heart to complain as we are in the middle of a pandemic and there’s enough negativity but I think things need to fix up here. We love the laidback trove vibe but there should still be good service and effort put into the food/experience. We didn’t feel that this time. There was even a family complaining their coffees were cold and sending them back as we walked in so maybe it was just one of those days.
Service was polite, respectful of distance etc. Crab, brown butter and salsify was utterly brilliant. Already recommended it to my dad, mum, 2 friends and a random person.
The vegan breakfast is incredible, it’s different to everywhere else and is definitely worth every penny!! Lovely service as well and managed to grab a great sourdough loaf next door after. Will 100% be coming back soon!
Always a pleasure in Trove... would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great coffee, food and service in a clean contemporary space!
Absolutely my favourite place to eat. The croissant bread and butter pudding dish was just perfect, like everything Trove produces. Unreal.
Great strong coffee and lovely vegan breakfast in well spaced out seating, nice and relaxed experience considering we're in the middle of a pandemic
Food was great as usual. Just lovely to be able to take my daughter out for lunch. A special treat!
Amazing food. Will be back to try the brioche pudding.
It was a damp, windy day in October and the cafe was not heated. The menu choice seemed to be mainly breakfast/brunch type food from what I could see of other diners. My friend and I had coffee and brownies. Nothing special here and I make much better brownies. It was £11.20 for everything. Quite frankly, I would have preferred to stay in the warmth of my home with far superior coffee. Would not recommend or return in the future.
Been a regular customer of Trove since they first opened always enjoy it! I gave four stars for atmosphere due to the sad situation we’re all in normally great atmosphere Thank you
Great as usual!
Food was amazing as always and even with the current restrictions it didn't feel any different to normal and we felt completely safe and well looked after by the team :D
Always lovely to pop in here!
Best brunch in Manchester and has been for a while now!
The best dessert I’ve ever had in my life! Creme Brûlée Square! Highly recommend. The bread is also fantastic!
It felt very safe at Trove, the tables a good distance apart, staff with PPE. Service was excellent and friendly and food delicious as usual.
I’ve been following Trove on Instagram for a while now. I’ve just moved to Manchester and turns out it’s round the corner from my house. It was first on my list of places to go and it didn’t disappoint! Everything from the service to the food was absolutely amazing! Will definitely be returning!
As always I enjoyed having lunch st Trove. My favourite is the vegan menu with a poached egg . The quality of the food is excellent and I think they have the best sourdough bread in Manchester. I love their tartlets and the croissants and cappuccino could not be better.
Delicious food and lovely staff
