About The Troubadour
London's most vibrant and intimate live music venue, Cafe, Restaurant and Function rooms.
What a great night!!! Wished we had found you earlier but we will be back now!!! - wonderful music and food - our perfect evening. Thanks!! xx
Hiya guys Very disappointed with you. I made my booking for Sunday 17th. First off, I saw that I could buy tickets online for your jazz gig. I paid for the 'admin fee', when I could have just walked in for free like everyone else. Also, I booked a table well in advance so I could finish my dinner and then watch the jazz. My table was far away from the jazz, and we were told to 'find another table' if it became free. For those of us who had booked a table, and tickets to see the jazz, I would have liked to actually seen the jazz. I spent £24 on a cheese board of the poorest quality; the meat tasted like it had been sitting open in the fridge, there was a tiny slither of apple on the board, and did not come with any olives, dipping oil, chutney or anything decent that is supposed to accompany a cheese board. The burger and chips was tiny. The chips tasted as though they came from macdonalds; pure salt and oil. The sausages and mash didn't even come with veg. One expects vegetables with that sort of main. I have been to your establishment many times, but this was a shock. The quality of the food has hit bottom. We were placed on a tiny table unable to see the music that we shouldn't have paid for in the first place. You have all ready stopped the music in the downstairs venue (which is a huge mistake), you should not stop the quality of your food aswell.
We had a great evening, thank you! Will be back next time we’re in London!
Really 'cool' atmosphere, at least for two parents in their 40's who don't get out very often! Very fast passed and a bit frenetic. Food good and service good. Did feel a little like staff so very busy (but to be fair you were busy so something must be right!) Entertainment a joy. Had a great overall night.
Ok food was perhaps not what we expected as foreigners, their was also a concert starting in the basement, and then , together with the noisy restaurant iT was impossibel to maintain a conversation. We “ ran” away by then. What was regretful every time we come to London we like to go to this place
Great atmosphere and service. Really poor food which is overpriced and served with very little thought on presentation. I had a nicely cooked bavette steak that was thrown on top of some tipped oven-chips drowning in a gravy seemingly made with granuals and some red wine tokenly added. Hardy a jus guys! Come on, Hendrix wouldn’t approve...
So so so good! Everything was perfect and we had a great time!
Great night out, great service
I wish the fish and chips hadn't all gone! :( My favourite pub in London nonetheless!
really nice atmosphere and great food
One of the best restaurants in London! The food is delicious, the ambience is amazing and the staff are brilliant! So friendly and accommodating! Would highly recommend!
Delicious food - very different atmosphere downstairs vs upstairs
A lovely atmosphere and great fun to be there. I must come more often.
Jazz Night for NYE
Extraordinary food, specially the Bavette steak. Excellent service!! Beautiful place! : )
Good food and friendly service, a couple of minor hiccups with our order, but an excellent evening last Sunday. Thank you
Food was typical pub grub. We were seated in a separate section from the music so, although we could chat to our dining companions easily, we would have preferred to have been more involved in the music. On the way out we could appreciate how good that would have been. the service was very good - friendly and efficiant.
I love everything about the Troubadour. The music is superb...it’s hard to find a place where you can eat good food and listen to such a refined music. The only suggestion I have is: can you have more beers on draft? Thank you
A great and unusual ,historical. venue for our International group meal. We were a group of 12 in the end and although we'd originally only booked for 8 and then 10 we were accommodated easily with no fuss. Our group made up of very mixed ages and diets including vegan loved it. We just made Happy hour for 2 margaritas for one which was an added bonus. Thanks . Was great to be able to visit the famous music venue downstairs also. Very friendly smiley staff. Thanks will visit again .
It was my birthday and the waiter put a candle in my dessert and asked the band to play a jazzy happy birthday. It completely took me by surprise and was a really lovely touch. You won't find a restaurant with a better atmosphere.
I enjoyed every bit of my visit. Booking was easy, the place had a great atmosphere. The staff were very nice and helpful. The bubble and squeak was super tasty and finally the espresso was excellent. Plus, it was good value.
Very hip spot with lots of cool history.
We had a lovely meal, excellent wine and terrific music making up a first class evening.
Would highly recommend
