About Tracks and Records
Authentic Jamaican flavours and vibe
Fun, buzzy, delicious!
My family and I enjoyed ourselves my only fault was the music. Please play the clean version! I would love to bring my parents and my God children but not with that type of music - the vulgarity otherwise Great time Great food.
Food and drinks are nice and service was great I will go again
Great evening, food better than I was expecting will recommend and come back for more!
Food was not well seasoned. The escovitch fish was not coated enough and tasted like fish and chip shop fish. Chicken had too much skin on it. Fritters were the best part of the meal. Service was mediocre. A lot of staff but they were not all very attentive. 3/5,
We had an enjoyable afternoon and the staff were amazing especially the young lady who served us, nothing was too much trouble for her and she was excellent at explaining some of the dishes. I will back again on the 8th of May celebrating my friends birthday
Food was lovely but the portions was quite small.
Was greeted with a warm smile and the environment was lovely so had very high expectation. We looking forward to having a lovely meal here in celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary as we got married in Jamaica. We were asked where we wanted to sit. So we selected a booth and were told we couldn't because there had to be 4 or more for a booth. The restaurant was virtually empty and I spotted only 3 other tables having guests. So we placed ourselves at a table for 2. we were given food menus and not advised that drinks were on the back. I asked for a drinks menu which the waitress brought over. A couple arrived after us who appeared known to the waitress and they wanted a booth and they were shown to a booth which we are told had to have 4 or more. At this point I asked the waitress if we could move to a booth and she agreed seeing that I was aware the same rules were not being applied to everyone. The food although flavoursome arrived cold and on the 3rd attempt had the jerk pork meal arrive hot. On the second occasion I asked the chef to taste what I was being served and she agreed it was barely warm. The apologies at the time felt a little limb as though they were not genuine. We had travel over 100 miles from Stafford to eat at Usain Bolts Restaurant and really disappointed. The whole experience was extremely disappointing. The restaurant lacked customer service and quality and therefore not an award winning as would have been expected from a great athlete like Usain Bolt.
Staff very friendly and accommodating. Great drinks and amazing rum selection
Booking was easy to do and great service from friendly staff
As always the experience was great. It a little quite for my liking but I guess attending 1pm on a Sunday afternoon should have been expected. Apart from that it was great. Food ten out of ten as always. I think your waitress. (Young black girl with long black hair) (Sorry I didn't catch her name) is amazing at her job. This is the second time I've had her and she is always so warm and polite. I have a few friends and family who have also had her before and we all agree she is great. Keep up the good work guy's.
This was my first visit o the restaurant, generally a satisfactory visit but I would like to highlight the following areas for improvement. There should not be charge for the cloak room this is a restaurant not a club, no reputable restaurant would do this. The music was far too loud which prevented you have conversations which effects the ambiance whilst having a meal. If you investigate how music effect your mood, you would choose the music in the restaurant area more strategically so people will feel than they have had an enjoyable experience. The soup was very salty. The Guinness punch lacked an authentic flavour it just tasted of rum. The main course too far too long nearly 1 hour to arrive, the waiting staff are not proactive in ensuring all customers are looked after it took far to long to get someone's attention to order more drinks or more food. The menu options are limited.
Loved it! Great music, great food, great service 😁
I was very disappointed with where we were sat. I felt that booming about 3 weeks before attending would not have resulted being crammed on the end of a sofa. The food was very good but could do with more choices and starters. Our waitress when asked questions about the menu could not answer well and gave the impression she did not care either. We will return though for drinks and the basement vibes
I've been to Tracks and Records now for the fourth time and every time I go there I have enjoyed myself, the food and the background music. This time was just as good except aspects of the menu had changed which had to be returned but our waiter couldn't do enough to make sure that our experience was good
I thought this was a Jamaican Restaurant representing black culture and and yet again, I find out that the head chef is Chinese and the waiters are foreign, no disrespect. But when can Black people start owning their own establishments.
Amazing food (really, food was great). Service was too but food really was just amazing!
The service was great and the staff are friendly but the food is not authentic. The Jerk sauce will blow off your head as it is too hot! I would expect to be offered Rice and Peas as one of the more traditional dishes from JA!
Love the background music! Great service and friendly staff
2nd visit. Good food. Spicy and delicious. Will be back.
Really chilled atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food!
Food was awful. Curry goat was very salty, rice was swimming in a small bowl with water at the bottom. We complained and was given some jerk chicken. Again the food was salty. I had the escovich fish was ok a bit bland. Not authentic, it came with fried plantain and one small rock hard festival. Service was not brilliant although the waiters were friendly. Was not charged for the curry goat or jerk chicken. We didn't eat it anyway and paying for the food was not a problem. The only good thing about this place is the drinks. Atmostphere was a bit flat although music playing in the backround was good and at the right volume. I will not be coming back and will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone. I had heard negative feedback but wanted to find out for myself. Which I did. Extremely disappointed. Mr Bolt sorry but you need to fix up the food in this restaurant. I eat out regularly and this is the first time I have returned food that was not satisfactory. I'm not a fussy eater but expect certain standards and this food in my opinion was not up to standards.
The food is delicious and the staff are so helpful and attentive. We booked the restaurant for my mums birthday and we all loved it. This has been my second visit, the first being for my husbands birthday and I will definitely be returning! Thank you for making us all feel so special!
This was my second visit and like my first I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am looking forward to going back again.
