Excellent evening- great food & service.
All the lads had a great evenings entertainment. We all agreed that the box was great value for money. I would definitely recommend it and we will be looking to come back in the future. The staff on hand in the box were also great. Really friendly and they only added to the atmosphere of the evening.
We missed the Theme menu Which we’ve had before. I think it showed in the amount of people there on Friday night . We all thought tea and coffee should have been included in the price £37-50. Having said all this the food was excellent.
Very pleasant evening, excellent staff and service.
Everyone had an amazing night, it couldn't have gone any better, food was great and staff were brilliant, thanks so much, look forward to coming back. 10/10 all day long.
Wonderful night, fantastic service look forward to our next visit.
First time greyhound racing. Had great fun and will definitely be back again.
Booked a private box for a work function. As always the food and service was excellent. Little sad that we didn't have in-box betting facilities anymore, but it wasn't too much of a problem to walk down the corridor.
Stewards need to know where to send people not one person knew where we had to go!! Eventually managed to get to hospitality by shear luck
Staff were great and friendly, drinks a touch dear, food was excellent. Would have nice if the VIP package included a separate entrance to speed getting to the restaurant up a bit, however the event was great, thank you
Very disappointed after a lot of organising on my part for my husbands 60th. I’m disabled and as there were very limited disabled seating available I had to opt for VIP. We had to collect wristbands at box office I was told by Charlotte that I wouldn’t have to wait long- as I can’t stand for any length. That’s was incorrect! Then at bag search my perfume bottle was taken from me! There was a huge list of things you couldn’t wear or bring in- don’t recall perfume being one of them! I asked ‘why’ I was told ‘some people throw glass at the stage’ blimey if I could lob that from the VIP balcony then I should be signed up as England cricket bowler!! Ironically once in the VIP area- which was lovely. We had glass wine bottles, metal cutlery etc! Like I said VIP room for my party of 6 and another party of 2 was lovely. Oscar who was our waiter was very attentive and helpful. We were very excited - big room and balcony for just 8 of us. Oh dear I was wrong!! The greed of the organisation- be it Towcester or the promotion company- were offering up grades to people on door! So we ended up with another large party joining us! We were told via email and letter pre concert that there was a ‘strict dress code.. no fancy dress, no shorts, no flip flops, no ripped jeans’ The men in our party were desperate to wear shorts as it had been so hot- but they obeyed the rules. So the people that joined us had flip flops, shorts etc etc! The people were lovely but why set rules Towcester when you’re very happy for them to be broken at the mere sight of some cash? I talked to someone about this at the time- someone from the office. She was frankly rude and unhelpful. So an event of been planning for months with lots of communication with Towcester- the first few hours were ruined. Not by the people who joined us, who were lovely. But by the system and the establishment. Just as a point here- the sound quality of concert was poor! Couldn’t hear what Paloma was saying and generally the sound quality poor. I’m aware that is probably not Towcester’s responsibility- but the promotion organisation.
Dining and everything inside the venue great. A shame that the organization on entry and exit were not up to the same standard. The stewards at parking area and entrance and exit did not appear to know much about where to direct people to which led to delays in both entering and exiting the racecourse.
Staff were attentive and pleasant but lack of knowledge on dishes the waiting staff were serving and average food let this venue down
The only thing at fault was that there were no tote girls walking round taking bets - the queue for the tote window (which for the majority of the card only had one girl on) was unacceptably long.
End of Term Night Out with colleagues. Food was excellent and enjoyed the private box facilities. People who had never been greyhound racing were saying that they had enjoyed a great night out.
We booked the v.i.p 3 course meal in the restaurant for my daughter's 21st birthday, we all had a fab evening the staff made us feel really welcome, I'd added a couple of extra bits like balloons, a cake and a message on the board (staff even sang happy birthday) Everyone made my daughter feel special she was asked to go to the presentation board and got to meet the winning dog for a race. The atmosphere was great, the meal was superb a lovely evening had by us all.
Fantastic evening, first time for us and the service was excellent from start to finish
First time eating in the restaurant. Excellent throughout. Will definitely do it again.
How a night at the dogs should be done. Good food & drink and great company
Food was of an average standard, with small portion sizes. With both the starters and the desserts, one of the three was delivered a good ten minutes before the other two, meaning that the three of us could either eat separately, or at the same time but with one person’s dish cold. As a vegetarian, the only starter choice available to me was the soup, which is a strange dish to put on a summer menu, especially with the temperature outside at almost 30 degrees. This may sound strange to comment on, but the tables and chairs felt very cheap and flimsy, like temporary ones used by catering companies. Given the premium experience Towcester are trying to market, I would expect to see something a little more in keeping.
Hi, we had a great time on Friday and really enjoyed ourselves, the service and food we received were very good. We do have one small complaint in that we had arrange for a message to be shown on the big screen which we were told would be shown on the big screen several times. Unfortunately it was never shown.
Food is amazing and service is top drawer, the staff and management, especially Helen, are really helpful, pleasant and friendly! A great way to spend an evening!!!
I booked a table for 4 by the window for my husbands birthday and we had a fabulous time the food was good the service was good and the atmosphere was lovely.I would thoroughly recommend.
Great night. Excellent staff who were very attentive, particularly Natalie
