About Torrish at Ness Walk
Set within the original drawing room of the 5-star Ness Walk is ‘Torrish’. Emblazoned with traditional details, a cosy fire and offering sensational views out to the River Ness, Torrish delivers a relaxed and friendly dining experience with a difference.
Our Executive chef Craig Douglas and his experienced brigade have combined local cuisine with flavours from throughout the world. Curating a menu filled with curiosity, discovery and adventure. Some ingredients are even grown on the grounds of Ness Walk itself – it doesn’t get fresher than that!
Food was great, all staff were attentive and friendly. 100% will be back
All three courses were amazing. Beautifully presented and great taste. I will definitely be back.
The service and friendliness of staff was excellent. The standard of dining was very good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Everything was delightful, including what seemed to be homemade breads, accompaniments to the main course, and especially the organic farm vegetables. Prices surprisingly below what I would have expected.
What a find! Every detail had been well thought out, service was attentive but not claustrophobic and the food an absolute delight... especially desserts! Well done. We’ll be back!
Decided to come here for our Monday date night, and we were not disappointed. My wife was very excited to see Beef Tartare on the menu and she loved it. We'll be back!
Exquisite lunch, great customer service. Will be back!
An over-abundance of staff & dull, uninteresting food! Will not be in a hurry to return😕
Delightful decor, excellent service, fabulous food, a definite hit! Already planning my next visit.
Unique take on afternoon tea and an absolute delight. Very good value reflecting the lovely surroundings. I’ll be back.
Very pleasant dining room. Restaurant was quiet for Sunday lunch. The lunch choices were good and the food excellent. Staff were attentive and we will visit again
The food was fantastic, complements to the Chef and his team. Only issue, which I’m sure you are aware of, is parking for non residents. Would be helpful to notify diners on your website and provide details about where they can park.
Thoroughly enjoyable lunch.
Very disappointed re lack of parking had quite a walk, in the rain, to get to hotel. Would have to consider whether I would visit again.
The food and its presentation were first class. The service was excellent and the price paid for food was the same as other good food restaurants in Inverness. Would definitely return and recommend.
We really did enjoy everything about our visit. Thank you. X
Really lovely evening with outstanding service from every staff member. Food was wonderful and nothing was too much trouble even although we had some special dietary requirements. Can’t wait to visit again.
Second time I've dined here and cannot fault the service and all the staff. They are a delight. My meal was lovely. However my husband's hand cooked chips weren't good and he didn't eat them. They seemed to have been cooked in old oil as they were very dark brown and they were greasy. Also, the whisky sauce he had with his steak was very watery so his food was basically swimming in it. We did tell the waitress but no one else came to ask or apologise. It won't deter us from coming back but you might want to pass this on to the chef.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, if slightly corporate. The Lapsang tea was perfect. The food was beautifully presented and tasty. Only the Dundee cake slightly disappointed as it was a little dry but the compote was a great idea. All members of the staff were attentive and our waitress was delightful. Thank you.
Myself and my friend try to meet up once a month for lunch or afternoon tea, so we thought we would give Ness Walk a try ....to be honest it is probably most of the disappointing afternoon teas l have had in Inverness, this was not completely down to the food but the feeling of being uncomfortable. On arrival both myself and my friend found that we were not permitted to park in the hotel grounds as we were not residents, we were told we had to park in the doctors surgery across the road ...l found this unacceptable as l still considered myself a guest of the hotel and there was no reason we couldn’t have parked there as there was plenty of space 😡 When our afternoon tea was served both myself, my friend and the couple next to us commented on the amount of staff hanging around in the reception area constantly watching us ....if it had been to see if we needed anything replenished then l could have understood it but it wasn’t ....at one point l counted 5 staff just chatting and watching which felt intimidating to be honest...The afternoon tea was not as special as l expected ....cake selection was very much such and such the same ....fruit loaf and fruit scones ......all in all l think there is still much to be learnt with regards to service, above all the experience of the afternoon guest needs to be a special as that of a resident .....sorry Ness walk you have an exceptional building, and the renovation is lovely ....but with regards to the guest experience it failed to woo and l very much doubt that we will return 😕
Beautiful Hotel, lovely food with excellent service. Highly recommend.
Beautiful Afternoon Tea in lovely surroundings with friendly helpful staff
Wonderful to see the old building so beautifully refurbished and complimented by the new hotel. The small plates menu is perfect for a delicious, varied lunch. Attentive but unobtrusive service and the pleasant decor make it a lovely dining experience.
Having selected Ness Walk to celebrate our wedding anniversary we were delighted with a truly exceptional evening, from the moment we were greeted on arrival to a relaxing drink at the bar afterwards. All of the staff were very welcoming and friendly, the menu was so well crafted it was difficult to choose and each course was exceptional. For a 5-star experience the atmosphere was reassuringly comfortable and Torrish is now firmly on our highly recommended list.
Lovely setting and surroundings. Tasty food with great wine list and excellent service.
