Disappointed with the service we received last night. We arrived at 5:15 pm and did not leave until 7:15 pm. We only had main courses. I requested the bill at 6:45 pm and 4 more times there after. Not one member of staff came back with this and then i asked the manager. The managers response was actually quite ridiculous “we are busy, what do you expect?” Well, i expect good, basic and competent service from your members of staff which wasn’t received. We are living through a pandemic but it’s not excuse for service like we received.
Overbaked risotto and burned-in-the-middle bruscetta lacking in tomato, disappointing as I’ve had this lots in the past and it’s usually great. Kitchen possibly struggled with the large volume of diners due to the eat out to help out deal. Service was fine but a bit brusque and we were massively overcharged (just an accident & they did apologise). Queensferry Rd are not doing the Prego menu despite the TM chain tweeting about it. This is either a wee bit opportunistic or a good way for them to clawback lost income dependent on your POV. It was easy to social distance as the booths were well perspexed!
Good food, waited a while for plates to be taken away and for bill to be paid.
The desserts are very expensive and so overpriced. A sundae had 2 scoops of ice cream some whipped cream and very little brownie in it and it cost £8. This is not value for money especially when you bring a family it makes it so expensive. I dont think that we would come back again to be honest.
Enjoyable evening with good food and service.
Service was great and felt very welcome xx Kids meal was fab xx my pasta was good but felt the side salad was not good salad wasn’t fresh and it wasn’t ceased dressing and the cheese was almost crispy and inedible xx but was a good experience xx
Had a lovely time dining out sgain, first time since corona put us in lockdown. We all felt really safe and thought the safety measures in place to keep everyone safe and have a comfortable evening.
Staff use of face coverings was variable, some worn properly, some not covering nose, some worn under the chin completely. Tutamela not as crispy as served in other Tony Macaroni restaurants. All other aspects of visits were very good.
Great to be back! Both waiters did an amazing job on a very busy night, an extra pair of hands would have been appreciated by everyone I’m sure. Will be back soon!
Brilliant service staff everything
Service was shocking. I was with a party of 7 and it was my daughters 6th birthday. 4 kids were served ice cream and my daughter who’s birthday it was did not get hers. I chased this 3 times and we had to leave. I had to ask to order, seek attention to order further drinks and then chase the bill. This was very much a one off as I eat frequently in the restaurant but unforgivable not to be attentive to a party celebrating a 6 year olds birthday and leave her with no ice cream.
Food was lovely as usual, shame we waited 45mins for our pizzas due to a mix up in our order
This was our first time eating out following lockdown and we were made to feel welcome and at ease. The food was to the normal high standard and the service was great. We'll be back soon!
It was very nice to see so many people enjoying themselves and behaving normally. It would have been even better if the staff didn't have to cover their faces.
I felt compared to when we visited prior to covid19 the portion sizes were larger on pasta. Other than that good was excellent and service great.
Excellent food great service overall a great meal
Enjoyed our first post Covid meal with safety ensured and a cracking meal as well
First waiter that served us was so rude, didnt acknowledge us just stared at us blankly when we were ordering then the same one done the bill he came over lifted my card off the table paid it using contactless without getting me to check the amount or anything handed it back then didnt say a word and walked away. Food was terrible, chips were cold and burger was originally asked with for no salad or tomato came with that on it, then came back and was burnt to a crisp the burger was black in colour it was that bad. Said to the waiter who seemed to be the head as he had a blue shirt, couldnt have been nicer and offered a dessert on the house, picked the bread stick ones and they were awful in taste. Only positive thing about the trip was his service
Great to be back post lock down!
Great meal felt very comfortable with all restrictions and great meal we all had pizza
Seemed very expensive for what we had in particular with VAT being at only 5%
Everything was great except from my salad as a repeat customer I was shocked it had halved in size since the last time I was there.
Lovely food as usual and friendly staff.
I’m a regular to the restaurant & was looking forward to returning after COVID/lockdown. Whilst the food was top quality I was very disappointed to be sat next to a family of around 15 including baby/toddler as the noise levels were really loud & the parents were actively encouraging noise levels of the youngsters. Given that there was booths available it would make sense to sit smaller parties away so they can enjoy their own dining experience in peace. I wanted to ask to be moved however I didn’t want to appear rude.
