About Tony Macaroni Omni Centre
An authentic slice of Italy
Our motto is “live to eat” — and after a visit to Tony Macaroni, it will be yours too!
Lovely meal, even lovelier staff.
Excellent imaginative main coureses and a great cappucino . Good house wine, all at a great price
Was quite quiet early on a Sunday evening so can't reallyt say much about Atmosphere. Apart from that we dined off the Sunday presto menu and very very pleased indeed.
Very noisy, waiters running about the place throwing plates down which doesn’t make you relax bar staff also rushing about causing glasses to smash , we got asked 4 times for our order then we had to wait 50 minutes between our starters and our mains. I get it’s busy but the way staff carry on just adds to the unrelaxed atmosphere
Food was lovely, staff where very attentive, unfortunately service was a bit slow and we had to leave before we could consider a desert option, close to theatre and we arrived when matinee finished and we where going to the evening show so possibly just a bad time as place was very very busy, certainly wouldn’t stop me coming back though!!!
There was an inside with our order re timing but the team were very apologetic and we were given free drinks and my daughter a free sundae which was most appreciated.
Service was shocking! The staff clearly couldn't cope with the number of people booked in at one time.... But they are right next to Edinburgh's main theatre and they knew in advance how many were booked so should be used to large pre theatre numbers. It took them 2 hours to serve 2 courses... They kept saying 'we'll be with you in a minute"! At one point we looked around all tables near us... And not one had food on them! We couldn't enjoy the food when it finally came as we had to hurry to eat it - but still missed the start of the show, with indigestion to boot! Other tables left en masse just before the show. Get your act together Tony Macaroni.... Or come up with a smaller pre theatre menu that you can actually serve on time!!!
We spent 1.5hrs in the restaurant and received 1drink and a starter! Booked for 6pm by 7.30pm I had to go looking for a member of staff who referred me to the manager. I explained how long we had been waiting and that we had tickets for a show at 8pm therefore we would have to cancel our order as there was no way we would have time to finish our meal. We were told that it would be another 10mins before our main meals would be ready and that the restaurant was busy and "we were not the only people eating there"!!! Received our bill and left. Very disappointed as we had all enjoyed our starters and were looking forward to the rest of our meal. Whilst I appreciate the restaurant was busy I still don't expect to wait for 1hr 40mins for a 2 course dinner given that we booked our table and had no waiting time to be seated. We left dissatisfied and hungry!
Despite being extremely busy the food and service was impeccable.
Waited half an hour after being seated and still had not be severed (half of which was spent without menus), no member of staff noted the fact we had been waiting so long
Had a lovely meal, quick service despite it being busy. Really enjoyed it, lovely staff
Service very slow and part if our food order was pretty tasteless. We paid for chicken in our pasta but we didn't receive it.
Appreciate it was busy because of Kevin Bridges but the Service is some of the worst I have ever seen. Great food and good value.
I left review on website whilst still in restaurant it was that vad
we found that the service was very rushed and the staff appeared very stressed by this causing errors to happen. We got the wrong drinks order/ starters were lacking in flavour and I ordered bruchetta mozzarella and I got what looked like and tasted like garlic bread with cheese. the main meal arrived and we had to ask and then wait for cutlery. One of the party had asked for rice with her order and then had to ask 4 different people for her rice that was a aide for her main meal by this time having almost finished main meal. Thr food was just ok When it came to pay we waited a very long-time to pay once we had received our bill. The restaurant was very busy with theatre goers and this meant the waiters were rushed off their feet meaning we had to wait for a long time to pay by card even had to say we were going to theatre. The service wàs disappointing and we felt like an inconvenience. I was aware that there was others around us also complaining a out service/food. This is disappointing for us as a group as this is our 2nd visit but not sure I would come back after the last visit. kind regards Kirsty Simpson
Food was tasteless, waited too long for menu and drinks
The staff were so busy it made a stressful atmosphere as plates where thrown quickly onto tables and tables not being waiting on properly.
took forever to get the bill paid. three times after asking, eventually had to go to the bar to make payment
Fast, efficient service and tasty food. Highly recommended!
Food was very tasty, however, the service was terrible as well as the waiters attitude. We had to cancel our dessert after waiting half an hour and had to wait a further 15mins on hour bill.
Great first visit!
Excellent quality fresh food. Great service. Thank you.
Excellant service. The food was tasty and good size portions
