Excellent night at Thyme. Service was excellent food was delicious. We had a table which was set away from the main upstairs area and it was perfect for our group.
Really enjoyed the food and surroundings. The portions were a good size for us. Ordered sides - also very good - but didn't really need them. Service and staff great.
Food was great - very tasty - brunch menu is great although could do with a few salads maybe for lunch time dining as may not want to have breakfast type meal - love the decor and has a great ambience !
Excellent service - friendly and helpful. Food of high quality. Especially tasty is the crab remoulade starter but if you want quantity over quality then try something else or stock up with bread. The French flair is not to everyone's taste but there is a main course to suit most. Local craft brewers ales are represented (albeit in bottles) and there is a fantastic Rioja (which is good because I'm not a great fan of French reds). Keep going back so must be ok!
Went 12 may, Oxton Secret Gardens, for brunch and although busy the service was really good. Good food and very reasonable. Looking forward to going for dinner.
Lovely Sunday brunch for a special occasion. Sevice was excellent and the food tasty.
I came for lunch with my Sister.I had poached egg on sourdough toast with hollandaise sauce.Nicest I have had!I noticed they have daily papers which my husband and I love when we go out for coffee.I will definitely go back, my Sister said she will too.
Seemed understaffed compared with two previous visits. No one meeting and greeting at door. Kept waiting as only visible member of staff was taking an order. Had to move aside arkwardly to let others out. Did not impress our guests. Otherwise food excellent as previously.
Really nice brunch (a bit overpriced) but nice. Atmosphere and service really good.
Excellent small and friendly restaurant with pleasant and friendly team. Had three brunches and two evening meals so far - all very good quality. Now, if only pancakes were on the brunch menu...
Offer sugar with your tea!
Ordered English breakfast for 2. Food was tasty although a little too on the lukewarm side for our liking. Service was okay, didn’t feel the need to leave a tip though, on this occasion. Neverthless a lovely place and addition to the village. Will definitely be returning for dinner next time.
Good food, atmosphere and service.
Very poor quality food and very poor value for money. Porridge bowl was tiny and far too expensive for £5. Scrambled egg on toast with extra mushrooms almost inedible. Mushrooms burnt. Coffee was also disappointing as not hot just warm
Our waiter was a delight - helpful, attentive and fun. We felt that although the food was good, prices were on the high side. As a vegan, I felt there were few options especially on the brunch menu. And no Vegan designation amongst the vegetarian, gluten free etc options. Love the location and decor
Service was attentive and quick, really welcoming. The breakfast options were great, had everything covered no matter what you fancied, and really delicious. Will definitely visit again.
Delicious food and will come again!
Lovely evening and food Portions of main meals varied especially in relation to the cod Excellent night though
Have been 3 times since they opened, for dinner first, breakfast 2nd & lunch the other day. Each visit has been great with the greeting & service . The food on each occasion has been very good & the wine excellent.
Couldn’t fault the service, restaurant or food. Just bit expensive for what you get. Have to pay extra for side orders which for the price of main meal should come with bit more. Would be good if had a early meal special as more affordable. Otherwise great for special occasions .
Fab. Second visit and we will surely return.
We were booked in for our first meal last night... previously had breakfast which had been really enjoyable. We had a really great evening at Thyme... drinks at the bar to start with very attentive and friendly staff, then off upstairs to our table. All waiters were so pleasant, friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent! We really enjoyed our night, would have no hesitation in recommending, and look forward to our next visit! Thank you!
Had great night at this new Oxton restaurant. Sat downstairs near the bar and atmosphere was very buzzy. Loved the baked Camembert and trout. Really top-class inventive food and very friendly staff.
Lunch time menu unfortunately was very restricted if almost non existent so not really a lunch choice of eatery for me but for evening meal I think it would be worth another visit especially due to the wonderfully attentive staff and the glass of wine and the cappuccino which were both delicious
