About Three Cranes
Frequented by the likes of Samuel Pepys and playwright Ben Jonson, Three Cranes is a cosy pub with a Grill Room on the first floor. Under the gimlet eye of chef-restaurateur Henry Harris, we serve a daily changing menu of seasonal British food with a detour through the bistros and bouchons of France.
We had a lovely time celebrating my graduation. I would highly recommend this place for small outings with family of friends. The food was good, the atmosphere intimate and the location ideal.
Great pies and drinks
Excellent food, fantastic service!
From start to finish this was a great dining experience. Our waiter, the food and service were all top notch, really going out of their way to ensure our family (including baby) were well looked after. Would enthusiastically recommend.
Unique atmospheric dining room with a small-ish but impeccable and reasonably priced wine list and some excellent recurring dishes. The most unusual White Armagnac Martini also seems to have become a fixture, I'm glad to say.
Great venue, very helpful staff
Had a wonderful lunch. Great service, great food in a lovely setting. Second time dining here and I will be back. First time had the most delicious steak and this time the steak and ale pies. So good and great value.
Fabulous waiter. Easy to get to location.
Food great, the noise was appalling. whilst pie was lovely a little overpriced
Fab impromptu drinks at a place I have always walked past and wanted to try - we were not disappointed. Great spot, lovely staff & cold drinks on a Friday PM - perfect! We'll be back... :)
A fabulous steak and ale pie accompanied by Timothy Taylor’s Landlord - what more could you want.
A hidden gem. Deserves to be much better recognised and frequented. The tuna loin was outstanding and the service friendly, efficient and unobtrusive. Can’t fault anything
great experience all round
Had an excellent lunch. Genuine gastro pub food. Service was friendly and attentive. Look forward to going back. My only very minor issue was that it was quite noisy and sometimes a bit difficult hear what was said, but that also says something about my own hearing.
Fantastic food. The special of steak and kidney pie was out of this world. Will definitely be back
Very quiet on the evening we went (although pub downstairs very busy), second floor dining room is quite isolated.
Nice small gastrointestinal and restaurant.
Amazing food & service.
The dining room is great. The only reason for the 4* rather than 5* rating for atmosphere is that the restaurant was very quiet - but it was a wet Tuesday lunchtime!
A great pub with great food and great service. If I could afford to, I would eat here every week!
Lovely dinner, just a little quiet on a Tuesday night. The staff were all amazingly attentive and pleasant. Thank you!
Three of us had rib eye steak and we all thought it was of excellent quality.
Excellent staff, good atmosphere. Thanks
Excellent. The staff really looked after us, even going out of their way to source ingredients for cocktails we ordered that weren't on the menu.
