About Three Cranes
Frequented by the likes of Samuel Pepys and playwright Ben Jonson, Three Cranes is a cosy pub with a Grill Room on the first floor. Under the gimlet eye of chef-restaurateur Henry Harris, we serve a daily changing menu of seasonal British food with a detour through the bistros and bouchons of France.
Great food and service as always.
Best pub for food and drink and atmosphere in the City! You will not get better food in a pub, let alone many restaurants, in the square mile! Legendary!
I arranged a Christmas lunch for my colleagues and it was excellent. We effectively ended up with a private room. Food was delicious. Michael the manager and server could not be been more helpful. Everyone was very pleased with the choice.
The staff did great dealing with a large group (11). Drinks were good. Food was pretty good, although some dishes were a bit cool by the time we got them. Staff were very helpful and accomodating us needing to rush off at 2pm.
The food and service was faultless. The dishes were taste sensations. Our group booking of 14 people were full of endless compliments. One note, do not book via the Agent. It is better to go direct to get the proper space you expect.
cosy room, semi private in feel. well attended to and good quality comfort food.
I booked this venue for lunch for two of my bosses who thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Feedback on the service and food was excellent. They said they'd definitely return. Thank you.
We had a lovely time celebrating my graduation. I would highly recommend this place for small outings with family of friends. The food was good, the atmosphere intimate and the location ideal.
Great pies and drinks
Excellent food, fantastic service!
From start to finish this was a great dining experience. Our waiter, the food and service were all top notch, really going out of their way to ensure our family (including baby) were well looked after. Would enthusiastically recommend.
Unique atmospheric dining room with a small-ish but impeccable and reasonably priced wine list and some excellent recurring dishes. The most unusual White Armagnac Martini also seems to have become a fixture, I'm glad to say.
Great venue, very helpful staff
Had a wonderful lunch. Great service, great food in a lovely setting. Second time dining here and I will be back. First time had the most delicious steak and this time the steak and ale pies. So good and great value.
Fabulous waiter. Easy to get to location.
Food great, the noise was appalling. whilst pie was lovely a little overpriced
Fab impromptu drinks at a place I have always walked past and wanted to try - we were not disappointed. Great spot, lovely staff & cold drinks on a Friday PM - perfect! We'll be back... :)
A fabulous steak and ale pie accompanied by Timothy Taylor’s Landlord - what more could you want.
A hidden gem. Deserves to be much better recognised and frequented. The tuna loin was outstanding and the service friendly, efficient and unobtrusive. Can’t fault anything
great experience all round
Had an excellent lunch. Genuine gastro pub food. Service was friendly and attentive. Look forward to going back. My only very minor issue was that it was quite noisy and sometimes a bit difficult hear what was said, but that also says something about my own hearing.
Fantastic food. The special of steak and kidney pie was out of this world. Will definitely be back
Very quiet on the evening we went (although pub downstairs very busy), second floor dining room is quite isolated.
Nice small gastrointestinal and restaurant.
