Welcome to Thomson's Reserve Restaurant. Our aspiration is to give a truly memorable dining experience.
Chef Anthony Hales has developed a menu focusing on simple clean flavours. His progressive cuisine allows diners to celebrate the unique ingredients Australia offers. Our menus are created reflecting the seasons using local Australian produce. We only source the most pure ingredients, this gives us the inspiration to refine these delicate flavours into beautifully crafted dishes.
Thomson’s Reserve Restaurant offers an a la carte menu and the option of a five or eight course tasting menu. An experience to be enjoyed by the whole table, this can be paired with matching wines to enhance the evening.
For special occasions or small parties up to 12 guests, our private dining space located in the elegant Foxtrot Room is sure to delight. With our dedicated professional service, allow us to create your own bespoke menu complimented by our wine list which features a select range of local and international wines.

We had a wonderful night. The menu was adventurous and our meal was delicious. The service was top notch. We also enjoyed all the memorabilia and art work. We are looking forward to coming again next time we are in Brisbane.

Second visit, food was excellent and unique. Service was attentive and informative. Setting was eclectic and cosy. About $100 a head is well worth it including some very nice wine!!
I would put big curtains in the entrance to the dining room. It’s off putting seeing guests and other staff walking up and down and the fact you can also see in the kitchen while your eating. It will make for a better atmosphere and cheap fix.
What a great find in Brisbane loved the decor & music, staff all very friendly & food was innovative, if you are a foodie & like to share it is fabulous.
What an excellent night I shared with my husband.The food was just amazing. The atmosphere was calm and the staff were friendly and made you feel very welcome. The chef and / or staff explained each dish and how it had been carefully made.The room was magic. We had a fantastic staff dinner and breakfast.
Fantastic food, great atmosphere, classy yet eclectic and Reuben has to be best waiter in Brisbane - passionate, knowledgeable and informative without being ott. If you like good interesting food this is a must do. The French rose was also excellent.
Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff. Food is cooked very well. Highlight of the night is Reuben, he is just about the most adorable waitstaff. Super enthusiastic and knowledgeable and friendly, he was very entertaining as he explained everything on the menu and insisted on telling us the full history of the egg when asked. 10/10! Also - happy birthday on Friday, Reuben!
Excellent service from 'waiting staff' especially helpful waiter, Reuben. Creative dishes which were beautifuly presented.

I looked at the menu online and was a little unsure. But it was terrific! The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant has a great atmosphere. And, I will be definitely be going back for drinks at the bar. A great range of gins!
Absolutely brilliant. We had a wonderful night. Couldn't choose from the menu so had the degustation which is great value for money, absolutely delicious and highly creative. We also stayed in the hotel in a large room and it was beautiful. The whole place is fun, quirky, and at the same time elegant. Staff are friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. We'll be back.
Surprising find in Brisbane. Salon de co shouldn’t be this good. Hotel restaurants tend to specialise in mediocre but not this one. Inventive menu well executed with great service. Add to that a cool fit out, great contemporary art works adorn the walls alongside artefacts dating back to the 1970s and 1980s. It’s very cool, particularly for Gen X’ers. This should be better known in Brisbane. I’m sure it’s just a matter of time until it is one for the hot list.
Flavours were amazing, but main courses did not represent good value for money in reference to portion sizes without additional vegetables except purchased separately.

We looked forward to our pre-booked lunch. However, on arriving at the hotel we were told that we were not able to eat as lunch as the policy had changed since we booked and that the restaurant was now only open to hotel guests at lunchtime. This was quite a disappointment.
