Welcome to Thomson's Reserve Restaurant. Our aspiration is to give a truly memorable dining experience.
Chef Anthony Hales has developed a menu focusing on simple clean flavours. His progressive cuisine allows diners to celebrate the unique ingredients Australia offers. Our menus are created reflecting the seasons using local Australian produce. We only source the most pure ingredients, this gives us the inspiration to refine these delicate flavours into beautifully crafted dishes.
Thomson’s Reserve Restaurant offers an a la carte menu and the option of a five or eight course tasting menu. An experience to be enjoyed by the whole table, this can be paired with matching wines to enhance the evening.
For special occasions or small parties up to 12 guests, our private dining space located in the elegant Foxtrot Room is sure to delight. With our dedicated professional service, allow us to create your own bespoke menu complimented by our wine list which features a select range of local and international wines.

We looked forward to our pre-booked lunch. However, on arriving at the hotel we were told that we were not able to eat as lunch as the policy had changed since we booked and that the restaurant was now only open to hotel guests at lunchtime. This was quite a disappointment.
My girlfriends & I dined here on Saturday night. We had an amazing experience & would highly recommend it. The atmosphere & decor was exceptional, our waiter had fantastic service with the recommendation of a fantastic wine to go with our dinner. The food was exquisite especially the kingfish, the cauliflower entree & the Drake for a main. Thank you, we cant wait to come back!!

I was led to believe this restaurant was up there with the best in Brisbane, however, my experience was totatally the opposite. I booked this hotel on the recommendations I read on trip advisor and other reliable sources. The hotel will change hands on 4 the April 2018, I was told this on several occasions & was advised there was a limited menu, there was limited and there is limited. Totally discussed with what was offered and felt so sorry for the wait staff who appeared to be totally embarrassed with what they were serving, hence wedidn't even eat what was offered. Having expected a cordon bleu experience it would have been better cordened off. Very disappointing experience, cheese & biscuits doesn't quite cut it for a 38 year wedding anniversary!

We have walked past your restaurant several times and thought it looked lovely so decided to book it for a special dinner. We booked online. We thought photos of the bar also looked nice so we arrived early to have a drink before our dinner. We were then told there was only wine and beer available and the hotel "wasn't really open" . The restaurant was also not as we had seen previously and looked more like a breakfast room with picnic tables! We cancelled our reservation and went in search of somewhere else for our special dinner! If it wasn't "really open", why did they accept our reservation?

Pork was dry for me, beef was average. However, the sough-dough bread with cultured butter was brilliant. Spanner crab was the highlight for the night. By the way, the desserts are perfect not too sweet at all.love it!!
Lovely restaurant, great service and the food was good but small portions
There is lots of processes to turn out a plate of food which were not welll excuted. We waited 35 mins for mains which I think is a long time considering there was only 6 tables.
Tasting menu was excellent. Service was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly - exactly what you would expect from a fine dining restaurant. The only negative was that we were seated near a very loud group of 6, which ruined the atmosphere for us as we couldn’t relax and enjoy the rest of our meals.
