Our Thomas Restaurant, located in Future Inn Cardiff, serves British food with an array of honest, contemporary Welsh dishes. We pride ourselves on providing the best, mouth-watering, fresh, local ingredients and binding them together to create the distinct, authentic flavours that our dishes demand.
Our food is presented in an informal relaxed manner & is served all day every day. There’s a wide range of beer, larger & wine on offer – almost all of which are available by the glass, as well as the bottle. Naturally, there’s a good choice of soft drinks too, including refreshing fruit juices.
Whether you’re a hotel guest or not, join us at the Thomas Bar & Restaurant for a fantastic dining experience & insight into traditional Welsh cuisine.
Due to the COVID-19 regulations, our opening times and menu options may be limited
Very happy with our meal very nice
Fabulous restaurant and lovely food
Lovely food, brilliant staff - We had a great evening
Highly recommend to anyone. Very professional and stuck to covid rules. Very nice food also
Not the place to go for a romantic meal but food was good
Lovely meal which was great value for money. Great service from staff. Slightly underscored on atmosphere but that is purely down to Covid restrictions and having to sit at a bare table.
The food and drink were okay I’ve had better however I could not fault the service! Not enough choice probably down to COVID
Can’t fault the service and food, staff were great! Atmosphere was understandably a bit flat though due to the ongoing COVID-19 precautions.
Delicious！I love here.
The service and food was really good the only thing with the dessert was the final touches with the ice cream two scoops and no wafer or sauce which would have given it 5 stars, the devil is in the detail. As for atmosphere on the hottest day in August your air con was not working properly ,the staff were excellent on the night and were attentive to our needs. Will look forward to visiting again.
With the current situation and on your first night of opening back up, I was very pleased on how everything was set up and how everyone was space apart. The food was excellent and service fantastic. Will definitely be coming back
Best Sunday lunch I have eaten out for a long time. Just did 2 courses but wish I had tried the starters after the main and desert. Had the roast beef lunch everything was spot on. Desert was a platter of mini portions the macaroon was excellent along with everything else, sorbet, cheese cake and ginger pudding. Staff attentive, but it was surprisingly quiet. Locals need to use this gem. Will be back again......
Beautiful sunday lunch with great service and great value for money. Highly recommend.
Staff were all very friendly, helpful and attentive. We had the 3 course Sunday lunch for £15.95 which was good value for money, fabulous presentation and tasted amazing.
The vegan afternoon tea and child’s vegan afternoon tea were both delicious. Really nice atmosphere, attentive staff, will recommend! Such nice vegan cakes that think they are missing a trick not expanding their vegan lunch and dinner menu options.
Delicious roast with plenty of veg and Huge portions. Puddings were ok but we would rather have had a choice of a traditional dessert after a roast. Excellent customer service
Very nice Sunday lunch.
Really disappointed. Booked this for 6 of us. Looked at the menu before hand for the 2 course and a free dessert. The menu states you can have either antipasti starter, prawn cocktail or soup of the day. When we arrived the menu states just anti pasti platter or soup of the day. When we questioned about the prawn cocktail one man said yes another came over and said no that's never on the menu and the chef had no prawns even though this was the cardiff menu online. When the anti pasti platter arrived there were no stuffed peppers on there so when questioned if we could have them they turned around and said we haven't got any. This was not stated before ordering this just presumed we wouldn't notice. We then went up to get our food. 3 out of 6 people got theres and sat down and then myself and another 2 had our meat and had to wait for 5 of the veg to. Come out whilst already putting the other veg on so half of it was then cold. I then said I'm waiting for the carrots after already waiting 5 minutes for the other veg they turn around and say they will be another 5 minutes! Ridiculous when half of your food is already cold! She then brought carrots to the table which as well as the parsnips were rock hard. Would definitely not recommend to anyone. So disappointed and complete waste of money!!
We visited your restaurant last night prior to the theatre. There were 6 of us and honestly couldn’t fault the service, food not forgetting the relaxing and very attractive surroundings. The £20 3 course evening meal was brilliant as was the choices from the main menu. Thank you x
Lovely Sunday roast, its a shame there was not many other people in the restaurant.
A very relaxed and friendly atmosphere, service was excellent and the food was of a very high standard. Three of us had the monmouth pudding as our desserts, it was only ok, the bread was dense and tasteless, however we will definitely return, the steaks were fabulous.
Food, service, cleanliness - all perfect. The lady who was replacing the table decorations was so kind to our children. Thanks!
Enjoyed the meal however the staff were not aware of the current offer that included a free glass of wine with the set meal for £20
First time here, won't be the last
