Smooth brews, harbour views and heartfelt food. Seas the day at The Working Boat, a proper pub on the waterfront where you can moor up, cruise in, and sink a few on Cornish time.
At The Working Boat, we’re all about taking things easy and making the most of life on the water. Established in 1876 and rebuilt in 2015, many a Cornish pint has been supped on our premises and our cosy little pub by the harbour honours our rich history deeply engrained in Falmouth’s sea-faring past.
All of our lip-smacking dishes are prepared thoughtfully by our kitchen crew with locally sourced ingredients at the forefront of each recipe, from the fisherman’s catch of the day to the farmer’s seasonal harvest. Bellies don’t grumble on our watch. Our pub grub is served up in hearty portions to keep the hunger at bay and satisfy the taste buds; unpretentious, earthy and flavourful, it’s food for the soul.
The beer flows as freely as the chatter and laughter amongst old friends catching up over a few swift drinks, families celebrating a special occasion, couples dining over candlelight and locals popping in to say hello to our Working Boat team. The heart of the pub lies in the community and there is never a dull day down by the harbour.
Throughout the year our calendar of events is always bursting at the seams, from beer festivals to charity events and feast nights, often hosted in our marquee on the private quay. Whether you arrive on land or by sea, a warm welcome and a cool pint is waiting at The Working Boat.
