About The Woodstock Arms
A great local pub with a great dinning room, and amazing rooms, start or end your day with us in this wonderful space, we are open for breakfast lunch and dinner.
The service was incredibly slow, am almost certain that we were forgotten and had to call over the waitress rather than being approached by her. The food was not brilliant, with the table next to us having to send their food back. Overall, not satisfied and will not be returning.
Rather a long wait for our food! The restaurant was very busy. Lots of happy pleasant staff. Thank you.
Very busy pub with thriving atmosphere. Fab meal, excellent food, staff looked after us and our doggies. We were made to feel very welcome. Would definitely go again and recommend. Chicken pie was scrummy. Thank you the Woodstock Arms.
Excellent service with real attention and care shown to our toddler. Food was great. Waiting staff were attentive, helpful and considerate.
We thoroughly enjoyed all the food we had - it was beautifully presented and flavourful. What stood out even more, however, was the warm, efficient and friendly service. Overall an excellent experience - would definitely recommend.
Wonderful food. Service understandably slow during busy periods. Staff are lovely.
Our favourite restaurant, the food is Devine, we will be back very soon. Thank you.
We have had some bad experiences eating in other venues in Woodstock. The Woodstock Arms was a pleasant surprise. The food was excellent, freshly cooked and served hot, the puds were particularly luxurious, with the best cheese cake I've had in memory. Service was very good and very friendly. Bar lively for a Wednesday evening.
Consistently great food and service.
Disappointed that there were 3 mains not available so limiting choice. Poor and limited vegetarian options and £4 for a house salad side order that was just a small bowl of leaves!! Really!! Food generally was not to the standard that we’ve had before at this pub. Can’t say we’d hurry back to eat at the Woodstock arms again I’m afraid!
Disappointed with the food. Fishcakes rather greasy, ribs were huge, difficult to eat as they were bigger than the plate. Also they weren’t very hot and rather tasteless.
Rissotto could have had more flavour, no mint flavour to mint oil, could have benefitted from pea type puree. One roast beef was lovely the other one we ordered was rather tough. Rest of meal was great, especially desserts.
Fabulous old country pub in the village center which we enjoyed lunch, drinks and returned to for dinner ! Cute little courtyard with lots of herbs and flower tubs at the back with tables chairs on the street. Good mix of locals and tourists. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Great decor, friendly staff, delicious food, highly recommended. Thank you. Looking forward to our next visit !
Lovely quality Sunday roast in nice atmosphere. Service great. Will be back.
We have been a few times lately and our last visit was no where near as good as the last visits the menu style looked cheap and the food was not as good quality. Service was excellent we thought we had found a perfect place to go now not so much.
Restaurant staff took wine list away, removed glasses before ordering food. Didn’t come back at all and we had to ask for the bill. Went to the crown after!
Staff fantastic. Food terrible.
The courtyard was a beautiful setting for lunch
Friendly staff lovely food xx
A good varied menu, good wine list. A lovely evening in a comfortable and reasonably lively atmosphere
After a visit to Bicester Village it was a pleasure to eat at the Woodstock Arms before making our way home to South Wales. Service was swift, polite and efficient. Food was cooked to our liking, came within a matter of minutes and cleared promptly. I'd recommend anyone to book if you are in the vicinity.
Excellent service from charming young lady. Great food in a lovely pub
We really had a disappointing experience. The service was timely and the pub was busy which helped. But so disappointed with the value for money. We had the apple salad and duck salad respectively to start. But at £7 for quarter of an apple, some salad leaves and 2 walnuts? Really? The duck was nice but again not Michelin star flavours so why Michelin star portions? Provided this feedback to the waitress, she didn’t seem that interested. Th mains were both Shin of beef. Came out luke warm. All in all poor value for money. Won’t recommend I’m afraid.
