About The Woodstock Arms
A great local pub with a great dinning room, and amazing rooms, start or end your day with us in this wonderful space, we are open for breakfast lunch and dinner.
Lovely atmosphere; friendly staff; great food and a great pint!
Come here regularly love the atmosphere very friendly staff, comfortable, nice food love the fact you can just have nibbles, plus dog friendly .
Had a really enjoyable Sunday afternoon with friends. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. Perfect day, Thank you
I was really looking forward to our meal but it was unfortunately rather bad. We were asked to pre-order. The drinks came and then our starters arrived after an hour. The children all ordered steak and chips medium. When it came it was cold and rare. I opted for pork belly which wasn’t well coooked. The skin wasn’t crispy and it was cooked rather badly. All in all a very poor meal for £350. I will be leaving a tripadvisor review to reflect this terrible meal.
Excellent service. Ridiculous starter! Ordered the mixed breads for the table to pick at before dinner, didn’t expect sliced Hovis, one brown, one white just cut in half.
Overall it was an ok experience. On the plus side the staff were good and the atmosphere also. Food was disappointing in respect of the main courses. Starters were excellent. Main courses were let down by lack of veg and the slow cooked pork being a little tough (two of us had this as our main course). Whilst I will go back I think I will probably stay with the grill options as these appeared to be good.
This is the second time we’ve ate here and both times it has been great. We will definitely come again.
Brilliant food, lovely atmosphere and great service.
Limited veggie options - one vegan and one veggie. Neither were that interesting. Were the chips cooked in the same oil as fish? They tasted off. And £4.50 for a side salad, the size of a cricket ball?! Shame on you.
Food was excellent. Waiting on stuff were very friendly. Seating was quite close other tables. All in all very good. Will certainly recommend and return. Thanks
Service was good as was the food, overall an enjoyable experience. Only one issue, it could have been warmer inside.
Was disappointed that part of my meal was literally cold, the waitress apologised and asked the kitchen to warm through another but the delay was longer than I would have liked as could not enjoy eating it with the rest of my main course.
The service and food was fab! A busy night and still we had all the attention and care that we wished for. A few too many f***k around the toilet and the bar but hey, part of getting old and finding new generations odd :-)
Nice atmosphere, very friendly and attentive staff, excellent food, would recommend!
Service was great, except not ready for our booking when we came in. Food was good. Little cramped.
Good food, lovely country pub ambiance & friendly staff, Sunday lunch always good here 👍
Good food, great service. Will definitely recommend.
Staff very pleasant but having different people serve us let you down. One starter did not arrive until reminded; then appeared with main course. Main courses were just a little lacking in veg; more greens would have helped. Main course also could have been hotter. Overall ok but with a little adjustment could be excellent.
Thanks for accommodating our specific requirements.
Thank you to all on duty Jan 3rd who helped to make my birthday celebration memorable 🎊🥂. HUGE thanks to male staff member who drove us to local campsite entrance 5⭐️service, so polite, a credit to the establishment. Hope to return soon!
Another great evening at the Woodstock arms - caring and attentive service with good wholesome food
Access for a wheelchair is through the back, which was stacked with rubbish and most unpleasant. No thought had been given to accommodating a wheelchair, in spite of my calling ahead. We were crammed into a small space, it was very hot and children were screaming behind us. Very disappointed. I’ve been before but won’t return.
The wine wasn’t particularly good or interesting, but the food was lovely and the waiters very friendly. It’s also a very pretty and cosy place to have a nice meal.
Brought my mum here for dinner, as a Christmas treat - Lovely venue, friendly service, tasty food. Will definitely be back!
Although our meal (Rump Steak) was undercooked as in it was very rare as opposed to medium they did offer to recook the meat.. but that would be too inconvenient for us. But fairplay they wanted to sort that. Food was ok at best. I would eat there again but not first choice.
