About The Wisconsin Room
The original dining hall of immigrant workers for Kohler Co., The Wisconsin Room features innovative, farm-fresh cuisine in an elegant but approachable atmosphere.
The menu, which rotates seasonally, is frequently complemented by daily specials drawing inspiration from what’s in harvest at that moment. During the spring, you might experience local morels, wild ramps, spring lamb and freshly caught fish from the Great Lakes. During the summer months, the chef might feature wild strawberries, fresh herbs from the garden and a wide selection of freshly harvested local produce.
Dine in our historic dining room or in the beautiful adjacent courtyard.
Enjoy a before-dinner drink in the Library Bar, which features specialty martinis and an extensive wine list.
We got hit with ice and the food was trash. Don’t order the consommé. Wine was delicious.
Dani was a fantastic server - we loved her and will ask for her when we return!
This was our first visit and it was impressive! We will be back again - - -
Elizabeth, our server was a joy!
Atmosphere was wonderful. Service was tight. The food was very underwhelming. Veal was overcooked and bland. Steaks were well cooked but lacking in flavor. Fois Gras disappointing in portion as well as not menu'd as a mousse.
Our server Elizabeth made our breakfast most enjoyable.
Food is amazing as always - no one does breakfast better!
Thomas was an excellent server!! We were very pleased! He made our combination birthday and anniversary very special!!!
A friend and I came to Kohler for the weekend and had dinner on Friday at the Wisconsin Club. We were seated at 7:15 pm and didn’t hey out meals until 9:35 pm. There were about 7 other tables in the entire restaurant. No one explained what had happened or apologized for the wait. The salads were mediocre at best, definitely not worth the price tag, and the main entrees were just ok. We friend had to ask a couple of times to have her water glass refilled. Definitely not a 5-star dining experience. We won’t be coming back. The only positive was that we explained our experience to the front desk staff, and they apologized, said it was unacceptable, and took care of the cost of meal.
We very much enjoyed our visit. Food was great. Service staff attentive. Made us feel very welcomed
The Wisconsin Room is our favorite restaurant to dine in when we are staying at the American Club. We enjoy trying dishes that feature ingredients not found in our home kitchen or garden. Our server, Corina was outstanding. She was friendly and knew all about the menu items and answered any questions we had. Our dinners were delicious as was the White Asparagus Soup. I must compliment the pastry chef for the Blueberry Tart that came with Lavender ice cream. An unusual flavor for sure but it was subtle and so good!
Beautiful setting, the Wisconsin Room is in a historic building with a comfortable interior that welcomes you the moment you step in. The staff is ready and willing, very good at what they do. I highly recommend have a pre dinner cocktail in the Library. Really sets the tone for the upcoming dinner.
I don’t think I ever received anything like this before .. staff is incredibly nice and friendly!!🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Absolutely wonderful. The service was superb. The food was amazing.
The food was perfection. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted with clever combinations of tastes and spring ingredients. A real treat!
Great service, great food, excellent preparation and wonderful experience for our anniversary!
Our server was very professional and friendly.
Delicious meal with an especially wonderful server. She deserves special recognition! Her suggestions about the menu encouraged us to try food pairings, like the Chipotle brownies, which were unexpectedly delightful.
The staff was warm and gracious, and breakfast was delicious. My only suggestion would be for plain yogurt to be offered, as granola was wonderful, but quite sweet.
All the staff have been fantastic. Leticia served us for breakfast and dinner at the Wisconsin room and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Hannah at the Spa was out of this world. The gentleman spa attendant who helped us when there was some booking confusion was so very courteous and attentive. AJ and Naashar offered fantastic housekeeping work. Lisa at the Museum gave us an informative and entertaining tour. Couldn't have asked for a better experience! The American Club is a true testament to Old Work resort and Spa luxury. We will definitely be back.
Wonderful dining experience!
Lovely dining experience!
Menu choices were great, the atmosphere is awesome. Disappointed in the chicken consume soup and the blueberry tart. Walleye pike was wonderful as the risotto, asparagus and scallops. Service was very slow...plan to sit and wait for courses. Server was friendly and engaging.
There was an EXTREMELY noisy group at one end of the dining room that made it difficult to even talk to my husband. However, the management graciously deducted a dinner from our bill for the disturbance.
Service was very nice but extremely slow. And Avocado toast was good but tiny. Bread pieces were tiny rounds that barely carried the poached egg.
