About The Willows Inn
What awaits you at the Willow’s?
Great food is a must for any good country pub. Our food has also won awards over the last few years and behind our beautifully balanced dishes are some wonderful simple ingredients, selected at their seasonal best and sourced from local farms and suppliers who we have handpicked to supply our ingredients, who of which have a genuine passion for what they produce.
Having booked a table for 8, 3 more friends turned up and the staff were very accommodating . The evening went very well and all spoke highly of the evening. A definite return event.
Lovely meal with all the family wonderful food and atmosphere
Good food and service, but music too loud and it was expensive for what is a pub, not a restaurant. Would come again but not going to become a regular.
a busy mothers day roast dinner but found waited abit to long between courses, other than that will return, thank you.
The meal was lovely, very tasty and all very well presented. Camembert tasted as good as it looked, risotto was creamy and I had a very generous portion of scampi and chips. Chocolate brownie was deliciously gooey and lemon posset was good. However the duck was a bit tough, but tasted great.
First time earing at the Willows Inn, probably the best Sunday roast me and my family have ever eaten! Superb food and service and the pub/ restaurant had a wonderul atmosphere. Will definitely be returning.
Food excellent. Special mention to our waiter who stood in at last minute called Paul
A very pleasant experience all round. Would go back plus recommend The Willows to friends.
We enjoyed our Sunday lunch very much, but the Spatchcock was a roasted Poussin, so the menu was misleading. Also, the cheeseboard was expensive for the choice and ammount of cheese. Finally, vegetables should be served separately with a roast meal, with gravy also separate. However, they are fairly easy things to improve, and homemade desserts would be a great improvement.
An excellent meal in super surroundings. The service was also first class
Great food great atmosphere and the 7 year old with us was treated like a princess, even down to specially cooking chicken nuggets for her. Highly recommend
Staff were very friendly & helpful, we will definitely return.
food was enjoyable and drinks good value for money very busy but a fun and lively atmosphere and excellent service would recommend it.
We booked in for Christmas day lunch and we were very pleased we did. The food was fantastic and we really enjoyed ourselves. There was a warm welcome and staff were very friendly. There was a bit of a wait between courses, from being seated to our dessert was 3 hours in total but it was Christmas day so we werent in any rush
The food was very nice. My belly of pork was beautifully cooked.
Excellent meal with friendly service
Very nice lunch as always, plenty of choice of meats and veg, staff are always very welcoming, great atmosphere will definitely be returning.
Good atmosphere and friendly staff.
Sorry but you will need to take a good look at your very ordinary menu before we will be back as we loved the food that we have had in the past in this little pub . it has also lost the friendly atmosphere p s i have also been a club and restraint owner many years ago .
First time we have been back since new owners taken over It will have to go a long way to catch up with previous owners Needs to improve vegetarian meal choices
The food was amazing and so were the staff!
I'm sorry but we arrived not realising the Willows was under new management. We so enjoyed our last visit and I complimented the young chefs personally as we left on their imaginative menu and presentation. What we experienced Saturday was lacking in so many ways - it was edible but I worry for your future, surely you want to add something more? The menu is so old fashioned and the food served lacked any finesse. To serve duck with the sauce poured over, to describe chopped carrots and peas as seasonal vegetables, not what we would come back for I'm afraid. The fish batter was soft, local pubs we eat in do much better. I hope you see this as merely our view and perhaps you only want to serve simple food but this can be found much cheaper in our area.
As you had only opened the previous day it's hard to do a fair assessment. The food was very good and really well presented. It was a good menu with lots of choice. We had to wait a very long time for the food, they were still trying to recruit more staff. We will certainly be going back and wish you Good luck for the future.
